Chapter 98
Minho went up and down nervously on the beach.
He had been finished for quite a while, but knew too well that he would have to wait a little longer for Jisung.
Chan and Changbin watched him with a grin, waiting for their assignment as witnesses.
It was a beautiful autumn day and although it was relatively cool, they had decided to get married on the beach.
It had taken them a while to agree, but neither Minho nor Jisung wanted to wait until next year with the wedding.
And since they didn't really have many guests they should have considered, Sumi had taken the preparations in hand and tried to put Jisung and Minho's wishes into practice as quickly as possible.
And so they were now standing on the beach and while Sumi adjusted everything again, Minho leaned for a moment against Chan, who stood behind him.
Jisung nervously plucked around his dark blue suit and certainly wondered for the hundredth time whether he shouldn't have put on another one.
The suit was tailor-made and sat perfectly, but Jisung was not sure if he shouldn't have chosen a different color.
Chan had dragged him to the tailor and insisted on paying for the suit, otherwise it would probably have become one off the shelf.
At that moment, Sumi appeared behind him. In one hand a boutonniere, in the other a small bouquet of flowers.
"Now you have to decide! It will be your turn in ten minutes. Minho looks like he's about to go crazy if he has to wait even longer."
Without answering anything, Jisung took the flowers out of her hand and stared at both options for a moment.
"The bouquet is beautiful, but I think I'll take the boutonniere," he murmured and gave Sumi both back.
Smiling, she put the bouquet aside and helped him attach the boutonnière to the suit.
"You look stunning!" she said with a smile and disappeared as quickly as she had come.
Jisung stared nervously at his watch.
So he didn't notice how the door opened again and Chan's father came in.
"Well, little one, are you ready?"
Jisung looked up surprised.
When he saw Chan's father, he immediately understood why he was here, but since he had actually expected to walk along the aisle alone, his eyes suddenly filled with tears.
"You didn't really believe that I would let you walk in alone, did you?"
Now the first tears ran over Jisung's cheeks, although he tried very hard to stop them.
Smiling, Chan's father pulled Jisung into his arms and gently stroked his back.
"Come on, we don't want to keep Minho waiting too long, do we?" he asked with a smile.
Jisung nodded and gently dab the tears from his face.
"Thank you..." he murmured and didn't know what to say, he was so overwhelmed by all the feelings in him.
"I'm proud of you, my son!"
Jisung laboriously held back the tears that immediately gathered again in his eyes.
Chan's father gently grabbed Jisung's arm and pulled him with him.
Minho peered inconspicuously at his watch, but actually he knew very well that the few present were watching him very closely.
He immediately felt Changbin inconspicuously putting a hand on his back.
"He'll be there soon, don't worry," he murmured and glanced inconspicuously at Chan. He grinned back and raised his eyebrows meaningfully.
Minho would have liked to chew nervously on his lower lip, but he knew that was not a good idea.
His gaze wandered over the few guests and then fell on the young woman who stood in front of him, who looked so different today than usual and smiled at him encouragingly.
Since the wedding was ultimately only a symbolic wedding, there was no registrar in front of him, but Sumi, who had lovingly taken care of the entire wedding. That's why Minho and Jisung had decided that she should carry out the wedding ceremony.
"Five more minutes," Changbin murmured.
"Where is Chan's dad?" Minho asked nervously, but Changbin just shrugged his shoulders.
Music sounded from somewhere and Minho looked anxiously at the direction from which he expected Jisung. Surprised, he noticed that two people were climbing down the narrow stairs to the beach.
Relatively quickly he realized that it was Chan's father and Jisung.
And although Minho was usually not very close to the water, tears gathered in his eyes when he saw Jisung.
Jisung looked stunning in his dark blue suit. And although Minho could see exactly that Jisung was nervous, he beamed all over his face.
Grinning, Changbin handed him his tissue and stroked his back again.
Carefully, Jisung climbed down the stairs, sure that he would stumble at any moment and fall down the entire stairs.
With trembling knees he reached the end and although he somehow felt a little silly, he grabbed Chan's father's arm and let him lead him to Minho.
Because although he was not a bride and Chan's dad was not his dad, he had always played a big role in Jisung's life and somehow he liked the idea.
When they finally reached the small group, Jisung could no longer turn his eyes away from Minho.
In his white suit, his fiancé looked like an angel.
Again, Jisung felt the tears rise in his eyes and took a deep breath before Chan's father gently pulled him with him - towards Minho.
Who, in turn, could not turn his eyes away from Jisung.
Since the most recently, Jisung wore his hair brown and curly again and his blue suit flattered him so perfectly that Minho briefly stayed out of the air.
"Wow," he whispered and would have preferred to ran to Jisung, but Changbin held him tight.
When Jisung finally arrived at the front, Chan's father briefly pulled him into his arm and then put Jisung's hand on Minhos.
"Take good care of my son! And welcome to the family!" he said quietly and briefly put a hand on Minho's shoulder before he sat down with his wife.
Jisung and Minho stepped hand in front of Sumi and looked at her waiting.
"Dear Jisung, Dear Minho. Dear family and friends. I don't want to bore you with many words. Thank you for coming here today to celebrate this special day with the two of them! The two have prepared their own vows."
Encouragingly, she nodded to Minho.
With slightly trembling hands, Minho turned to Jisung and grabbed Jisung's hand before he began to speak.
"Baby... even if that sounds clichéd now, I knew from the moment I first saw you that you were special to me! And I'm glad I didn't give up back then and you decided that I was worth a chance! Cause of you there is so much love and light in my life, that for the first time I can see my path clearly in front of me. With you by my side towards the future. And even if we only know too well that it can sometimes get quite dark, we also know that together we will always make it into the light as long as we stick together. I promise to do my best to be your light too! Your rock in the surf and the person you can always rely on! I love you so much and am so grateful to you for showing me how beautiful life can be! That I am a person who is worth loving and that you turn every day into something very special!"
Even with Minho's first words, Jisung had no longer been able to hold back his tears and now tried to carefully dab them from his face. Finally, he cleared his throat and looked at Minho lovingly.
"Min, if you didn't exist, then I probably wouldn't be standing here now. But I owe you not only my life, but so much more than that! You have always stood by my side and made me realize that it is no shame to accept help and you have helped me so many times!
We went through so much together that we could fill whole books with it and you were always by my side and took the lead when I didn't know what to do myself.
Min, you are not only my rock in the surf, you are my soulmate! The person I blindly trust and who I would put my life in my hands at any time.
Thank you for never giving up, even when I rejected your initial advances!
You found me at a point where I felt very alone and have never left my side since then. You have become part of our family and we will never let you go again!"
Now Minho - and also Chan and Changbin - also ran tears over his face. And if Sumi hadn't reacted quickly, Minho and Jisung would have kissed without changing their rings.
"Then I ask you now, Lee Minho, if you want to take Han Jisung as your married husband."
"Yes, I do!"
"And I also ask you, Han Jisung, if you want to take Lee Minho as your married husband."
"Yes, I do!" Jisung whispered and again tears ran down his face.
With tears in his eyes, Sumi presented the rings to the two.
With trembling fingers, Minho put the ring on Jisung's finger and then stretched out his hand towards him. Jisung's hands also trembled so much that he almost dropped the ring. But finally, the ring stuck to Minho's fingers.
"I hereby declare you, with the power of the office given to me by the Internet, to husband and husband!" said Sumi and grinned overjoyed.
Minho and Jisung just stared at each other for a moment.
"You can kiss your husband now!" said Sumi and toasted Minho.
Still completely overwhelmed, Minho pulled Jisung to himself and kissed him.
Minho had thought that he would do the wedding more for the sake of Jisung, but he had clearly underestimated how he would feel about it. He felt like he was floating on clouds while it was somehow difficult for him to breathe. He had the feeling of bursting with happiness.
Jisung was also overwhelmed. Of all the feelings in himself and that, despite all circumstances, it felt like a real wedding.
He clung to Minho for a moment before Chan and Changbin insisted on taking the two in their arms.
After that, it was Chan's parents' turn and when Jisung noticed the tears on Chan's mother's cheeks, some tears ran directly over his cheeks again.
"I'm so happy for you! And I'm so proud of you! You are an incredibly great man and you deserve all the happiness in the world! And I'm incredibly glad you found it in Minho!"
"Thank you!" Jisung murmured, stirred, while Chan's mother hugged him.
Then he hugged Chan's father and heard Chan's mother say "Welcome to the family!" to Minho and couldn't help but grin happily.
After that, Jimin and Sumi approached them.
"Thank you for everything!" said Jisung and hugged Sumi. "You are the best best friend I could wish for!"
Finally, Felix approached Jisung and Minho.
Jisung had already heard so much about him, but it had never been convenient for them to get to know each other. Behind him clearly his fiancé Hyunjin, but Jisung had only been told about him so far too.
"Congratulations!" said Felix with a smile and first hugged Minho and then Jisung.
Hyunjin did the same and they talked for a moment before Sumi announced that they would soon leave for the restaurant together.
And although Jisung usually had a hard time with strangers, he felt directly comfortable in Felix's presence.
A short time later, they sat in the car with Chan and Changbin, on the way to the restaurant Sumi had chosen.
"You were right. I totally understand what you meant by Felix," said Jisung, who leaned against Minho with his eyes closed.
Smiling, Minho reached for Jisung's hand.
"Of course I was right."
"Do you need anything from home or do we want to go directly to the restaurant," Chan asked at the moment.
"Direct to the restaurant, right?" said Minho and gently stroked Jisung's hair.
"Mhm," Jisung murmured, stretched out to Minho and kissed him. "I love you!"
"I love you too, my angel!" said Minho lovingly.
"Do you think we behave the same way when we are married?" Changbin asked and grinned at Chan amused.
"Hmm, if you want, then of course," Chan said and grinned back before he concentrated on the street again.
Minho felt indescribably happy. With Jisung in his arm and his other two favorite people together, on the way to a common future.
Whatever that might mean.
