Chapter 91
The next morning became more hectic than expected. Which was due to the fact that they all had to leave almost at the same time.
Minho had wisely gotten up early, even if the world around him had turned a bit and he almost fell out of bed.
But after he showered and drank his first coffee, he was already feeling much better.
The others scurried around him and tried to het ready in time.
Minho distributed coffee and couldn't help but grin at the hustle and bustle around him.
Actually, he had always kept private and work life things strictly separated, but somehow it felt good that Chan, Changbin and Jisung got along so well with Jimin and Sumi.
After all, he would always put his life in the hands of Jimin and Sumi, so much he trusted them.
And they had helped Jisung find again, which he could never make up for.
Because Jisung was his life. His everything.
At that moment, Jisung came into the kitchen and leaned against him.
"The first day we will spend separated from each other...," he muttered and unhappily wrapped his arms around Minho.
"I know, baby. I don't like that either... But if we don't want Chan to pay for everything for the rest of our lives, then we won't have any other choice..." said Minho and gently stroked Jisung's back.
Sighing, Jisung closed his eyes.
"Do you know how long you have to work?" he asked quietly.
"No. But at least I won't leave the base for the next two weeks. I have to prepare for the sports test and probably push the office as long as it'll take me to succeed..."
"Maybe we'll at least manage to eat together tonight," Jisung said and looked at Minho with hope.
"I'm sure my angel! And maybe I'll take the time and cook for us."
Smiling, Jisung leaned his head against Minho's shoulder. And although he was looking forward to the evening, this feeling was mixed with a lot of melancholy and worries.
He was probably aware that the next few weeks would be incredibly exhausting.
They had to make up for their postponed comeback and would have to do incredibly many rehearsals for the next two weeks and then they would be in the road a lot.
He was already afraid of it.
Especially since Minho would definitely not be able to come with them this time. Actually, it was planned that Minho would accompany them to Japan.
After they had finally all managed to finish on time, they stood in the underground car park of the apartment building.
Minho pulled Jisung to him and kissed him gently.
"Heads up, baby. We will get through this together, as usual. I love you!" Minho said affectionately.
"I love you too," Jisung murmured.
Minho also said goodbye to Chan and Changbin.
Jimin and Sumi waved goodbye, sat down in the car with Minho and drove away.
Jisung looked after the car for a moment before he let Chan drag him along.
"Come on. You'll see, once we're in the studio, I'm sure you'll feel better."
Jisung nodded absently and sat down in the back seat. He would have liked to have packed Minho and taken him to the studio. But he also knew that Minho was right.
Chan was the most generous person and he didn't want him to pay even more than he already did.
Sighing, he closed his eyes.
And yet Chan was right. Even though Jisung still missed Minho, it got better as soon as they arrived at the studio.
There was so much on her schedule that Jisung didn't really have time to think about the fact that he missed Minho.
Minho on the other hand, had far too much time to think.
The day was incredibly boring and the office has never been Minho's favorite task.
After training with Jimin for the sports test and actually helping Sumi with the paperwork, just to have something to do, he sat at his desk and drank his sixth coffee.
He would have liked to have just driven back home.
But on the one hand, he knew very well that only an empty apartment was waiting for him and on the other hand, he could have written his resignation directly.
The day passed painfully slowly.
Minho was about to take the next training session, even though he knew that he should not overwhelm his muscles right at the beginning when Sumi appeared behind him.
"I know what you can do," she said quietly, looking around inconspicuously.
"Hmm?" Minho raised his head and also looked around.
"You can plan your wedding," Sumi whispered and grinned broadly.
For a moment Minho stared at her, but then he nodded in agreement.
"But there won't be much to plan... It's not like we could celebrate a big wedding, let alone that we have a lot of people we could invite," he muttered.
"People are somehow only secondary. It's about celebrating your connection. And it's only important that the people are there who mean something to you. It doesn't matter if it's two or twenty."
"Good... you may be right about that. But I can't plan my wedding with my fiancé if we both know that I should actually keep it a secret."
"Already. But you can at least think about how you would imagine your wedding. Or what you think, what Jisung would like."
"You really take the gay best friend thing very seriously..." Minho murmured and looked at her with raised eyebrows.
"Do you know how long I've been waiting to finally have a gay best friend?"
That made Minho grin. Since Jimin and Sumi had found out that he was gay, she had repeatedly tried to convince him to become her gay best friend.
"Yeah, I know. I left you hanging."
"No, it's okay. Jisung is great and I'm sure he's the much better best friend of the two of you," said Sumi with a grin.
"Ouch. Well, I would say you discuss with him what he wants for our wedding and then we will see that we get this realized."
"So you don't mind if we meet?"
"Why should I? I'll send you his number and then you can make an appointment with him? But rather write, he's in the studio right now."
"Okay."
Smiling, Sumi went back to her desk.
Sighing, Minho pulled his phone out of his pocket, sent Jisung's number to Sumi and then informed Jisung about it.
Normally he would have chased everyone to hell who would have dared to get close to Jisung, but he had seen exactly how comfortable Jisung had felt with Sumi the night before.
How he had giggled and whispered with Sumi.
He wished Jisung some joy and lightness in his life and if Sumi took care of it, he would not stand in the way of it.
Just as he wanted to get up and get the next coffee, hectic broke out.
"Minho, can you coordinate the mission? We have to go and one has to keep track from here," Jimin shouted to him and ran with Sumi to the elevator.
"Sure," Minho shouted and ran into the meeting room.
The details of the mission could be seen on the monitors.
Minho rubbed his hands and familiarized himself with what he needed to know.
And suddenly he was completely back in his work, as if he had never been gone. His thoughts were clear and focused and he took care of helping his colleagues as much as possible.
