Chapter 66
Demotivated, Jisung trotted behind Chan, Minho and Changbin, who in turn followed the broker.
Jisung absolutely didn't like the apartment and the ones they had looked at before hadn't been better either.
Slowly he didn't feel like it anymore.
He would have preferred to go back home. He looked out of the window and not even the view was beautiful. Only streets and skyscrapers everywhere.
Just when he wanted to turn around and go back to the others, he felt someone standing behind him. Even without having to turn around, he knew exactly that Minho was the one who was standing behind him.
"You don't like it here, do you?" Minho asked quietly.
Jisung shook his head and leaned against him.
"Come on, we don't have to take the apartment if we don't like it here," said Minho and gently pulled Jisung with him, to Chan and Changbin.
"So that's not really what we had imagined," Chan said the moment Minho and Jisung arrived at their place.
"Well, then I only have one apartment left. However, it is also the most expensive, as it has a view of the Han River."
Jisung's eyes began to shine.
"Money only plays a limited role. And we would love to look at the apartment," said Chan, who had seen the glow in Jisung's eyes.
As little as they liked the other apartments, they liked the last one so much.
The view of the Han River was much more beautiful than the endless skyscrapers and the apartment was bright and friendly. In addition, it had three other rooms in addition to the living room, which meant they could set up a study.
Jisung had sat down on the floor in the living room and let the apartment have an effect on him. Minho and Changbin sat down next to him while Chan took the opportunity to talk to the broker about the price.
He knew very well that the other three would have become pale if they had heard the price.
Because he planned to buy the apartment and not rent it. He had already talked to his parents about it and they agreed that Chan would pay for the apartment with the money of his trust fund.
He knew that he would still have to talk to the others about it, but he didn't want them to have to worry about the financing.
But he decided to talk to them about it only at some point on their weekend trip. If they were all a little more relaxed.
He had the feeling of leaning far out of the window with what he was doing, but he didn't know how to handle the whole thing otherwise.
"Chan," Jisung shouted from the living room at that moment.
"Excuse me for a moment," Chan said with a smile and went to the others.
Before he knew it, Changbin had pulled to him, so that he was on the ground with the others.
"Will we take the apartment?" Jisung asked as quietly as he could in his excited state.
"Can we afford that?" Minho asked skeptically. "With the view and location, it's certainly incredibly expensive, isn't it?"
Chan rubbed his hand over his neck and cursed inside. He wanted to avoid exactly this conversation.
He looked nervously at Changbin, who watched him with a grin.
Changbin knew Chan really well. In some respects even better than Jisung. And that didn't mean his qualities as a lover, but how Chan handled things. And tried to get rid of problems even before they became such.
"If I ask you not to worry about whether we can afford the apartment, would you listen to me?" he asked more Minho and Jisung than Changbin.
Chan had expected that Jisung would chase him to hell now because he "threw around" his money again, but the youngest in the round only looked at him with his head crooked for a moment and then nodded.
"Yes. For the moment. Because I think the apartment is really beautiful and would like to have it. But we'll talk about that again someday!"
Minho also nodded, even if he didn't feel so comfortable with it. But he also liked the apartment and he could see how much Jisung liked it. And he wanted Jisung to be happy.
"Well, then I'll go and clarify everything necessary with the broker, when we can move in here and so on. I'll be right back."
Jisung put his head on Minho's lap and smiled happily at him. "Thank you, honey!"
Minho lovingly stroked his hair and took a deep breath. He would do anything to make Jisung happy. And maybe the new apartment would also help to take a step into a new life after the kidnapping.
Changbin watched the two smiling and then laid down with his head on Minho's other leg.
"Our home. Sounds nice," he murmured with a smile.
Minho couldn't help it, he also stroked Changbin gently through his hair.
Shortly afterwards, Chan came back into the living room and had to smile when he saw the three.
"Unfortunately, you have to get up now... The broker has to go to her next appointment."
But the three just shook their heads and stayed where they were.
Chan grinned and then sighed. And finally he pulled up one after the other.
"Come on, we're going home and on the way there we'll get something to eat."
The three reluctantly followed him.
The way home was a mix of anticipation and impatience.
They would be able to move into the apartment at the beginning of the next month, which Minho and Jisung still seemed very far away. But after all, they didn't know anything about the weekend trip, which only made the time until they could move in appear so long.
For Chan, on the other hand, who knew exactly what was ahead of him, time was almost too short to get everything organized in time.
But he also had the feeling that it was slowly going uphill again. That fate had decided to be on their side again after it had played so badly with them.
