Chapter 54
When they got home, Chan and Changbin would have liked to tell the two directly about the plans for the weekend trip to cheer them up, but then the surprise would be gone.
So they cuddled up in bed together and tried to be there for them.
Chan lay behind Minho and had pulled the younger close to him, while Jisung had long since fallen asleep in Changbin's arm.
He had already felt insanely tired and drained on the way home, so it didn't take long until he fell asleep in Changbin's arms.
Minho had buried his one hand in Jisung's hair, with the other he held Chan's hand.
He felt the tightness in his chest become less and he could breathe more freely again.
"Chan?"
"Hmm, what's up, honey?"
"I... I will also do a therapy too... as you suggested..." Minho murmured and pressed himself even closer to Chan.
For a moment, Chan buried his face in the crook of Minho's neck and then kissed him there.
"I'm so proud of you, Min! I know that's not easy for you either."
Minho had to laugh against his will. He was insanely sensitive on the neck and first Chan's kiss and then his breath tickled him incredibly and he had goosebumps all over his body.
Carefully he loosened his hand from Jisung's hair and then turned to Chan.
"You know, normally I can see and fight my opponents... but at the moment it feels like I'm fighting myself. As if my memories and fears would come out of the dark and want to drag me down. And I don't feel like I can do anything about it. I can't even really do sports like Binnie...."
"Yeah I understand you Min... and I'm incredibly happy that you're looking for help! Because apart from being there for you and giving you support, I can't really do much."
"I know... wasn't that much different for me with Ji...," Minho murmured and buried his face on Chan's chest. The older lovingly stroked his back and pressed a kiss on his hairline.
Minho took a deep breath. He never thought that he would ever be in Chan's arms like that, nor that he would need it. That he would seek and need the safety and security in Chan's arms. And that it would feel so right.
How much their life had changed in such a short time.
Not that he didn't like Chan and Changbin before. The two had sneaked into his life without him really noticing. If you wanted Jisung, you could only have him together with Chan and Changbin. It had taken Minho a while to understand and accept this. But bit by bit, the two had won his heart and secured a firm place in it. But even then they had actually been really good friends.
He couldn't even explain to himself why this had changed so much. Probably that wasn't even important. It was important that they all felt that way and no one was left out or felt alone.
Just as he looked up to kiss Chan, the older pulled him up to him and kissed him on his own.
And once again Minho had the feeling that the older could either read his thoughts, or was damn good at interpreting his body language.
"Min, honey, do you still want to stay lying down, or are you coming to the balcony for a moment? I want to call the broker and make an appointment with her for the viewing."
"I'll come with you," yawning, Minho sat up and waited for Chan to get up so that he could get up without having to crawl out of bed.
Smiling, Chan held out a hand to him after he got up and pulled him out of bed.
On the way out, Minho's gaze fell on the two cards that Jisung must have put down there when they came home.
He took a deep breath, took the one from the clinic and handed it to Chan.
"Ji's therapist was of the opinion that it is better if one of you has it... If we need urgent therapeutic help on the weekend..."
Chan took it from him and then pulled him into his arm.
"I'll take care of it. But I really hope we won't need it."
"I hope so too...," said Minho and laughed a little tormented.
"Come on," Chan pulled him with him and together they sat down on the balcony.
For moments, Minho played with the pack of cigarettes in his hand before he took one out and lit it.
Chan was already immersed in a conversation with the broker.
".... Meeting on Monday..."
Immediately, Minho poked him in the side and shook his head.
"No, we don't have time on Monday. But Tuesday would be fine. Perfect, then send me the address and we'll be there around 11am. Thank you."
After Chan had hung up, his eyes fell on Minho's cigarette, which was half burned down.
"Don't you want to smoke it?"
Minho first looked at him and then at the cigarette and then shook his head.
"Well, then throw it away and let's go back in. We could cuddle a bit with Binnie and Ji before we make food, what do you think?" Chan said and smiled at him.
Minho snapped out the cigarette, threw it away and together they went back to the bedroom.
For both, it was now a familiar picture that Jisung and Changbin were sleeping tightly cuddled together.
Chan let himself fell on the bed and stretched out his arms to Minho.
"Come here."
Grinning, Minho took off his sweater and then snuggled up in Chan's arms.
"Thank you..." Minho murmured and closed his eyes.
"Hmm?" Chan asked in amazement.
"That you are here... and that you always have my back and that you just give me secureness... I don't know where we would be now without you and Binnie..."
"Always honey... we will always be there for both of you!"
Minho took a deep breath and snuggled closer to Chan.
If someone had told him a month ago that he would soon lie in Chan's arm and seek (and find) support and security there, while his fiancé would sleep in Changbin's arms, he would probably have slapped him and then laughed at him.
And yet he was now lying here, in Chan's arms and felt incredibly secure.
He felt Chan playing gently with his hair as he hummed quietly a smoothing melody.
Grinning, Minho thought back to the fact that he had wanted to put Chan in prison not so long ago. And today, together with the others, he would probably do everything to get Chan out of prison if he would ever ended up there.
With a smile on his lips and Chan's hand in his hair, he finally fell asleep.
Chan watched Minho smiling. And when he was sure that the younger had fallen asleep, he carefully separated from him and stood up.
He would let all three of them sleep and cook the food alone.
And talk to his mother on the phone beforehand. He had a lot of things on his mind that he urgently needed to talk to someone about and he could usually talk to his mother about everything.
He was also curious if she had already started planning the weekend trip.
Actually, it was supposed to be Changbins and his gift for Jisung and Minho. The fact that it now came from his parents had not been planned. He just didn't feel comfortable booking everything necessary under his name.
Sighing, Chan ran his hand through his hair.
Not that he didn't appreciate his mother's gesture. But he wanted to gift them something meaningful himself. He wanted the weekend to be something very special to all of them.
But although he usually did not lack creativity, his head was now empty.
