KHUSHI

It was a very strange feeling, I had no words to describe it exactly, it was something I had never really felt before so I dint really know what it was.

I wasn't the one to get excited about parties and stuff, I mean of course when I began my career, it was all exciting because it was new, and then I got used to them and they became boring, basically this kind of parties weren't the parties where people usually came to have fun.

It was some sort of a gossip party where everyone was busy discussing how terrible someone was dressed and the personal lives of other people when they had no idea what was going on in their lives.

So I was always less interested about them but today I was quite interested, maybe because Arnav was going to come along.

I was also putting an extra effort on my dressing which I never did, especially for such parties, I mean what was happening to me?

Ananya on the other hand was seated in my room busy chatting with someone on the phone and helping me choose my accessories.

We both heard the doorbell I few minutes later, I opened the door of my room and saw the servant opening the door and then Arnav walked in, he was dress in a navy three piece suit, he was always dressed in suits but today he looked a bit different.

"Who is it?" Ananya asked as she joined me at the door of my room.

"Oh the hot guy." She giggled as she stood beside me and the both of us stared at Arnav who walked in slowly looking around the house, he asked the servant about me and was informed that I was getting ready in my room so he decided to sit down on the sofa and wait for me.

"Damn he does look extra hot today." Ananya sighed as the both of us shut the door slowly and walked back inside the room, I sat on the bed feeling nervous as if I was going on a date and not just a random party.

"What happened?" Ananya asked.

"I don't know, I have this giddy feeling, I can't explain what it's like, it's weird." I said.

"I would get such a feeling if I was going for a party with such a hot guy." Ananya laughed.

"Aditya was hot too, still I never felt that way."

"Maybe because he dint make you feel like Arnav does, in the end all that matters is how people make you feel." She sighed.

"What does he make me feel? I mean I haven't even looked at him that way, I have always concentrated on my relation with Aditya, but since Aditya and I broke up, I cant stop thinking about him, as if that's what my heart always wanted.

Did I even break up with Aditya because of the reason I gave him or maybe it was this all along and I just dint know it?"

"No, I think it was that reason, once you broke up with him, you just realized you could look at someone else that way and you looked at the first person that way there."

"Doesn't make sense to me."

"Neither does it to me, but the main thing is that you feel something for him, so let it be, maybe this is the love you have been looking for."

"Me, and in love with Arnav? You must be joking, I might be attracted to him because he is hot like I was attracted to Adi." I laughed as I stood up and headed to grab my shoes.

"Let's see, the future will give us the answer." She smirked at me, I rolled my eyes at her as I put on my shoes then held out two clutches in front of her, she chose one so I decided to go with it.

I inhaled a deep breath and then walked out of the room, Arnav immediately turned around to look at me, when he saw me, he stood up and stared at me from top to bottom with both his eyes wide open.

He dint speak a word, he just kept on looking at me without blinking his eyes as I slowly walked closer to him.

"Hey." I smiled tried to act normal although I was just flabbergasted by the way he was looking at me, it was like he hadn't seen anything prettier than me, I liked that.

"Hey." He managed to reply after a bit of struggle.

"I can't even speak well, you look absolutely gorgeous, I'm in lack of words to praise your beauty." She smiled.

"Well I guess those words are enough." I giggled.

"So shall we get going?" he asked, I nodded as we both walked outside, he suggested that we go in his car and later he would drop me back so I agreed.

We got inside his car as he drove off, I tried to look straight ahead of me but it was difficult given that he was seated beside me looking like a snack.

What? Did I just think that?

I kept on stealing glances at him every now and then and caught him a couple of times stealing glances at me too, and we would just smile awkwardly.

Once we arrived, he parked his car and held out his arm for me, I held it as we headed inside. We were met with lots of media people who started taking our pictures immediately.

"Oh My God, ASR and Model Khushi?" I heard someone say.

"Are the dating?"

"Of course, why would the come together."

"What about Aditya?"

Arnav and I just looked at each other and shrugged, it was funny how two of them came together for the party and everyone just assumed we were together, like two people couldn't be just friends.

Anyway we ignored whatever they were discussing and posed for a few photographs then headed inside, there were so many celebrities here, movie actors, models, directors and a lot other famous people.

"God, I hate this parties." I rolled my eyes.

"Then why did you come?" Arnav laughed at me.

"Because it's necessary, you get recognized and that way you get more work, if I would just sit at home, I might lose out on work." I pouted.

"Oh I see, it's okay, we can stay a while then leave." He smiled, I nodded as the waiter walked towards us with drink, we both grabbed ourselves something to drink then stood in one place.

A lot of people came to talk to us, some just greeted and walked away, others complemented our dressing and stuff and some stayed to discuss random gossips which we weren't interested in at all.

This high class parties were so boring, I could enjoy a kid's birthday party more than this.

We stayed there for like an hour then Arnav suggested we go for a long drive before he drops me home because we were already bored anyway, I happily agreed so we left.

He drove around the town, some of the roads I hadn't passed through, everything was so calm at this time of the night apart from a few cars passing by.

Later, he spotted a tea stall on the road so he parked the car aside, we both stepped out, I stood leaning on the car while he rushed to get us tea.

"I hope you're okay with this tea." He smiled as he handed me a glass.

"Of course I am, tea is tea." I giggled as I took a sip.

"This is much better than the party, so peaceful." I smiled at him, he nodded as he finished his tea all at once, I drank mine too and then he took the cups and returned them to the vendor.

"So, should I drop you home now?" He asked.

"Let's stand here for a while then we can go." I said, I liked this fresh air and I hadn't done something simple like this in a while, it felt good.

He stood beside me as we both stood there silently, I could notice how he was looking at me and just smile about it, I liked that he couldn't stop looking at me that way.

"I'm sorry, you look so beautiful I can't stop looking at you." He smiled as he faced me and I turned so I could face him.

He looked down at my hand and then slid his to mine slowly holding it as he stepped closer, I felt like my heart just skipped a beat.

Wow, now it was beating faster as he took another step closer to me and diverted his gaze to my lips, was he going to kiss me?

Did I want him to kiss me? I don't even know. Jeez, this was so confusing, I just closed my eyes waiting for whatever that had to happen, happen.

I felt his hand on my cheek as he moved closer, I could feel him breathe so close to my mouth, he was going to kiss me anytime soon and I wasn't even sure if I was ready for it.

I was startled when we suddenly heard a loud noise, he let me go and stepped backwards immediately as we saw an ambulance pass by, he looked away from me immediately as if he dint want to do this.

I was left confused, did he just try to kiss me because he found me really beautiful tonight or maybe he felt something towards me?

All this while I hadn't got any hint from him, so I guess today it was just because he found me beautiful, maybe he dint feel like I felt.

"I think we should leave, it's pretty late." He said, I nodded immediately as we both got back into the car and he drove me home, there was an awkward silence in the car all the way home.

Once we arrived home, he waited for me to get inside and then drove off. As for me, I was confused.
