Cold
Gentle and clean her soul used to be,
Smile rainbows and full of energy,
Kindness she spread words of beauty,
Sinful others dreaded no mercy.
Stepped with no shoes,
Her feet went cold,
Yet she walked around,
Her aura strong and bold.
Crisp and cold suit he wore,
Harshness pouring through the door,
Bits and pieces, heart on the floor,
Sweet back then, someone tore.
Learned to live cruel heart,
Masking expression an art,
Thought learning it made him smart,
Little did he know was just a start.
A bump and their soul went cold,
A sensation fell, a one no one told,
As if their hearts itself got mold,
As if the stories that went old.
So different yet so alike,
A pose long ready to strike,
Pure and open with no spike,
Stubborn souls accepted no like.
No calm beneath the curious flames,
Holding back their very own frames,
Caught up in the pointless games,
Shielding their pride, their names.
A push from the cold world,
An unexpected occuring hurl,
Thrown together in a twirl,
They realised their dreamworld.
Why do one change for the bad,
Punishing others no role they had,
The scheme how it works, so sad,
Sick mentally they clad.
Pushed boundaries, broke norms,
Oaths taken to fight the storms,
'In this cold world I'll keep you warm,
Take what it takes to keep you calm.'
