B L A V E Y  O N E S H O T

This oneshot was written by me and hamilton_fan36. It's a Newsies ship of ours with Kid Blink x David Jacobs. It's pure, angst, and loving at the same time, hope you enjoy this new view of a ship in this Apocalypse AU. We were inspired by this Tumblr post.

Davey's thoughts buzzed around as he knew his life was soon going to end.

It was the apocalypse, and everyone knew that this was the end.

There were barely any shouts left, everyone was gone, eaten, or just flat out turned into zombies.

A soft sigh escaped the young males mouth as he started to walk around.

'You are my sunshine...'

He thought about Blink within a few seconds of walking.

The way he made him feel everyday was good enough for him to marry Blink.

'My only sunshine.'

Blink was always there for him.

He needed to show him a way that he loved him before their time was up.

'You make me happy...'

Davey heart stopped for a moment as he heard somebody running, with a swift movement, all Davey could see was no other than Blink.

The boy he had loved the most.

At that moment, worry exited itself out if Davey's thoughts.

He just stared quietly at Blink, and walked towards him with soft eyes.

'When skies are gray.'

Davey hesitated for a moment before taking Blink's hands into his own and pulled him close.

He didn't care what blink thought about this, he just needed to know that they did this once.

Together.

'You'll never know dear...'

A few seconds went by as Davey slowly started to dance with Blink.

His heart was pounding in his chest as he did this, they were going to die soon, and nothing would remain other then their love.

"How much I love you-" Davey choked out quietly as he was tearing up, "Please don't take my sunshine away..." he sang softly.

While still holding Blink close to him, all he could feel was his body heat and them both dancing.

'I'll always love you and make you happy...If you will only say the same.'

"D-Davey, wease got ta go-" Blink started anxiously, trying to look behind them at the zombies slowly starting to close in.

Davey continued to hum under his breath as tears streamed down his face.

"Davey, listen to me!" Blink begged, trying to shake him, but Davey resisted, grabbing Blink tighter.

"Do t-this...f-for me? P-Please Louis..." Davey whispered, his voice cracking once again and making Blink's heart crack.

'But if you leave me and love another, you'll regret it all some day...'

"A-Are youse sure?" Blink whispered as he started to cry with his loved one.

"I'm sure."

The zombies that were chasing Blink seemed to fade from memory despite the fact that they were surrounding them now.

Blink took a deep breath and relaxed, pretending that they were listening to a radio play the song.

That they were in Davey's living room, listening to it for the first time and trying to learn how to dance.

"Y-Youse are my s-s-sunshine..." Blink started to sing lightly, "M-My only sunshine."

Tears were pouring now as they both became sentimental at their last few moments together.

The last time they'd ever be graced with each others presence and love.

"Y-You make me happy w-when skies are gray." Davey continued on.

Both were so close to each other now, Davey's head rested onto Blink's as Blink rested his head against Davey's chest.

They took in each other's last breaths, last words, last memories of their lifetime together.

Blink imagined all they could have done, while Davey just imagined what they've already done.

"Y-You'll never know dear, how much I love you..." They sang finally together, pulling slightly away just so they could look at each other.

One last time.

"P-Please don't take my sunshine-"

They never finished it.
