"NO!" I felt like tearing up. 

I turned around to look at the den, but it wasn't there and all I saw was a strange place and trees.

"Where is everybody?!" I called but there was no answer. I was alone.

But how could this happen? I wondered. Wait . . .. . this has to be a dream! I shook my head and bit myself. Ow...nope its real!

But why? Why and how could this possibly happen? Was there any other animals here? If not, will I ever see my family again?

I remembered my Mother laying there in the den. What if this had something to do with my Mother's death?

I heard footsteps. But they were far away...It wasn't foot steps at all! It was wing beats of an eagle.
