( Thorn's POV )

This is my chance.

"Hey, Miss, can you show me around the castle?" I asked her. She turned back around didn't answer for a few seconds.

"Sure, but I'll have to fit you into my schedule. And Zane, I wonder where that child went?" She said as she looked at me then to the young boy, who shrugged but was curious as well.

"Liz come on," I hold out my hand. "I can't just leave you in your room with nothing to do." I looked at Liz and she looked at me and back to Starlene and the young boy.

Then someone called out to Starlene and the young boy; you could hear running, I turned and saw another young boy run up to Starlene and the boy, I recall...was named Axel.

"Axel! Starlene! I've been looking
everywhere for you guys." He said as he was out of breathe. "Zane, where have you been?" She knelt down to his level and hugged him.

"I'm sorry, I went with Bastion and I just left him," The young boy hugged her back. "Oh Zane..just be careful ok, you had me worried and you had Axel worried too." She pulled away and touched his face then fixed his head band.

"I'm sorry, Axel for worrying you." He said as be turned to him and apologized. Axel noded and smiled. Then they both hugged Starlene. "Now my children, get to training then you can have fun, ok?" She said as she placed her hands on their heads and they both said, yeah! Ok! With a smile from ear to ear and then they waited for Starlene to kiss their foreheads. Then they ran to who knows where.

"Alright, you two ready?" She said as I looked away from the boys who now had vanished past my line sight. She looked happy, in a motherly way, her eyes say that she's happy and calm, her lips say she's glad he's ok and their together again. "Yeah. We are," I look at Lizzy and she nods in response. Starlene is amazing, she's beautiful, kind, responsible and I would be proud to have her be...mine..

"Do you have any questions?" She asks as we fellow behind. Questions.... "Any kind, about me or the castle," She said as we went down some stairs. Maybe, I could ask her..No! I'd be too obvious..."Hey, miss..are you and the prince actually in a relationship??" I said as a looked at her, my heart throbbing to know her response.

"Heh, oh no. We're just best friends." She said to my hearts relief and happiness. I sighed and I think she noticed, I try to quickly fix my composure but she beats me to it.

"..Ok, sure. If you say so"

I'm so glad she didn't pressure me to tell her. I'd probably do something foolish like tell her or worse..run. Or.. Let me stop myself.

A king needs to be wise and a gentleman.

Not a fool with no sense or class. Although, I'm probably in the middle, yeah..because being wise is being both.
