Argument's

!WARNING!
This fanfic will eventually turn into a very detailed, abuse mentioning, bad-mouthing fic. Some future relationships, you don't want to look for. The only reason they are appropriate here is that the story is fake and stories are supposed to have happy endings.

"Yeah! You will!" Laurance shouted at (Y/N). "Stay back Kawaii~Chan!" He shouted at the pink hair meif'wa girl to make sure she didn't get caught in the crossfire between the two shadows.

"(Y/N), stop!" Liz pleaded. She could tell that the man wasn't like the others and had more in common with Sue than either of them realized.

(Y/N) lunged for Laurance again but made a critical mistake that could have killed her. Exposing her side from making the wrong move.

Laurance saw her mistake and changed his swing at the open opportunity to make a blow and incapacitate her. Before Laurance could make huis make Liz saw her mistake and acted quickly.

"Stop! Both of you!" She exclaimed and whacked the butt of her staff against the cobblestone pavement, keeping them both from hitting each other. It took all her strength, energy and mental capacity to keep them from landing blows at each other. It was had on her body to hold them both frozen like that.

The sword had luckily not hit (Y/N), but she yelled from the sudden stop of her body. She knew not to move now, otherwise, it would hurt extremely. She finally got a good look at the man she was fighting, She could see his blue eyes slightly change red. Reading his face, all she could see was pain.

Laurence kept his glare on her, not recognizing her because he rarely saw her in the nether. He was trained by Shasha also mostly kept to himself in the nether unless he was forced to interact with the others.

Liz groaned in pain. "Someone needs to pull them apart. Now!" She growled, starting to falter from holding the spell for so long.

KC ran to grab Laurance, moving his sword away from (y/n) and ready to hold him back as small living dolls came out of the cafe to help their master.

"Let me go Kawaii~Chan! She's a shadow knight and she needs to be taken care of!" Laurance ordered the meif'wa. He never liked being held back from a battle.

Liz was forced to let go once her energy depleted and collapsed to her knees, breathing heavily and her face became pale from the strain of holding the spell for so long. "(Y/N)... Don't..you dare... fight..." She panted before collapsing on the ground, her spell falling.

(y/n) gasped in the horror of what she had caused and ran to her friend's side, kneeling. "Liz!

(y/n) picked up her friend as gently as possible, making sure not to expose her wings or hurt her any more than she had.

"Please. Please there has to be a doctor here. I'll give you everything I have just please..." She looked up at the other shadow with begging eyes.

Laurance glared, confused about why a shadow would care about another being, but he was one too, wasn't he?
"Don't try anything funny." He glared and lead her to Donna Doctor, wife to Logan, a human turned werewolf.

She nodded and quickly followed the man. Still unsure why he would help a shadow, especially one with an aura as intense as hers.

They reached Donna's stand, setting her friend down gently on the bed that she had there.

"Please... Please help her." (y/n) begged the woman, reaching into her pockets for what little quarts, pigman gold, and raided diamonds she had taken from the nether fortress before she ran.

Laurance saw how desperate (y/n) was to help her friend. Seeing how little she had in her pockets, he knew what that was like. Offline times valuables would get you out of trouble in the nether and it wouldn't take very much. To see that she had even two pockets, he knew she had been in there for a long time. More time than he had spent.. maybe years.

"Hey hey... It's okay. You don't have to pay me.." Donna smiled gently and began to help Liz. "I can tell that you care for her. Come back tomorrow morning. She'll be awake by then."

"Please... protect her.," (y/n) begged, backing away from the market stand.

"Laurance. Give her a place to stay." Donna told the guard.

"What?!" He complained.

"Laurance. Hayden. Zvahl." Donna glared and pointed a finger at him. "Whatever grudge you have against her She is still a woman. RESPECT her." She scolded.

"Yes ma'am.." Laurance straightened up, taking a deep breath, and turning back to the stranger he felt in his chest was an enemy.

(y/n) looked up at him, finally able to get a good look at his eyes. A ghostly blue, full of anger and fear for his people and his lord. They were almost ghostly... blind.

"Follow me. There's a small house you and your friend can borrow for a while. And if you decide to... stay... You can buy it." He said in a very monotone and matter-of-fact voice.

He was very tall. Or maybe she was just short. It was confusing for her, being in the nether for so long she lost the concept of time. She often stayed in shadow form because she was so small, making sure her unit respected her and her powers.

"Thank you.." She nodded, accepting his offer and following close behind him, but enough to where he would feel he had enough room for a counter-strike if she tried to attack.

They walked in silence the whole way. Laurance looking back to make sure She wouldn't try anything that would get both of them in trouble. There was somthing familiar about her as if he had seen her before.

"My name is Ann.," (y/n) said quietly

"No. It's not." Laurance stopped to looked her dead in the eyes. "I heard your friend call you by another name and until you tell us your real name, I have no reason to trust you."

"I have yet to fight you again! Why are you being so hostile?!" (Y/n) shouted, standing strong. She wasn't used to being so small compared to other people, but to avoid being seen practically as a demon, she stayed human.

"Because if I know anything about shadow knights, they're lying, deceiving and evil." He scowled, his eyes turning red momentarily.

"Aren't you? No way in hell would a nice lady like Aphmau let anyone dangerous or an asshole be a guard." (Y/n) set her hand on her hips.

Laurance paused, looking over her for a few moments. Seeing how much she had from the nether, he was surprised she didn't have any scars. Usually, shadows who stay there for a minimum of two years had scars all over their body. Like Gene, Zenix, and Sasha.
He also took notice of her curves. But that wasn't important. ( ; p )

"Are you going to take me home now?" She asked.

"...This way." He nodded and lead her to a small place Aphmau had built. The next area over having shops like a tailor's and cafe.

Laurance opened the door for (y/n), who immediately took a liking to the new place. Seeing the kitchen, and living area before running downstairs to find two bedrooms and chest room. Soaps and candles on each of their nightstands.

(Old ages, they bathe in freshwater ponds)

"It's beautiful!" She smiled brightly, looking over her shoulder at the man who was surprised to see her this excited. Then again, who knew how long it had been since she had her own place. "Thank you."

"It's... No problem."
