You walked up the stairs in your apartment building, your legs dragging behind you from pure exhaustion as you reached in your bag to find your keys.

As you went to unlock the door, sounds of muffled music played softly behind it.  A large smile swept across your face as you unlocked the door, walking into you and Matt's shared apartment. The apartment was dark as per usual, being lit by not only hues of purple and pink light coming from the billboard outside, but also from candles that where lit around the dinner table where Matt stood wearing a white button down with one hand in his pocket, and one holding a bouquet of flowers.

The apartment smelt of carbonara, one of your favorite meals, and bread that was being baked in the oven. You smiled at Matt, placing your bag down on the handle next to you and taking your coat off on the rack.

"What is all this?" You questioned with a smile.

Matt stepped closer, handing you the bouquet of multi-colored flowers as he planted a kiss to your lips. "Who says I can't treat my wonderful fiancé to a terribly cooked meal and cheap candles?"

You chuckled lightly, taking the flowers to your nose and smelling them. "Well this is amazing, Matt. Thank you."

He grabbed your hand, guiding you over to the table as he pulled your chair out for you and you sat down. He went in front of you, sitting down in the chair across the table. You both began eating as Matt stared towards your direction.

"How is it?" He questioned nervously. Matt had called in a couple favors from Karen, knowing that she was much more of a cook then Foggy was. She gave him the recipe and told him exactly what to do to ensure he didn't screw up this meal like he did previous meals he had made for you.

You sat back, still chewing your food. "This is by far the best meal I think I have had in a while."

"That bad huh?" He smirked.

You smiled, "I'm being serious, this is really good." You took a sip of wine, "Did you do this all yourself?"

"With the help of Foggy and Karen." He smiled, "Karen gave me the recipe, and Foggy was in charge of buying flowers. So if they're dead or demolished in any way, its his fault."

You chuckled as you twirled a couple strings of pasta onto your fork, "Wow so you guys where very busy at work I see."

"It was that or we had a contest to see how many Oreos foggy could shove in his mouth without choking. We went with the safer option of planning a dinner date." Matt laughed, making you join in.

You both talked for what felt like 15 minutes, but was actually three hours. Matt loved the sound of your voice and how when you spoke about something you where passionate about, your words would come through the smile you wore. He swore he could listen to you talk forever.

You loved talking with Matt too. Ever since you found out about him being daredevil a few months ago, you both agreed on no secrets, which Matt upheld his promise to. He would talk about everything that went on not only at work but when he would go on patrol at night. It was almost as if a weight had been lifted off his chest when he told you, knowing there where no more secrets between you both and that everything was out in the open.

You both where washing dishes together while a combination of music played in the background. You where handing Matt dishes as he would dry them, placing them in the covers above your head.

Matt came up behind you, wrapping his hands around your waist and placing his head in the crook of your neck as he swayed to music playing in the background. His stubble tickled your neck as he laughed while dancing, taking the plate from your hand and grabbing your hand, turning you towards him.

Matt's left hand was resting on your lower back, and his right hand was holding your waist. He smiled down at you as you wrapped your hands around his neck.

"We're never going to get these dishes done, aren't we?" You questioned.

"It's only the two of us," he shrugged, "We have other plates."

You chuckled lightly, feeling his hand grab yours and pull you to the middle of the living room as he pushed the table from the middle of the carpet, over to the side of the living room. He turned around, putting his hand out as a smug smile formed on his face.

"May I have this dance?" He questioned, looking over at you.

"Are you serious?" You smiled, taking his hand as he pulled you into his chest and you began to sway with him. You rested your head on his shoulder, feeling his hands clasp on your lower back, just above your ass.

Matt danced slowly with you, taking in the sound of not only the music in the background but also the sound of your heartbeat. He smiled to himself as his face rested in the crook of your neck, feeling his smile radiate warmth on your neck.

You pulled your head back from his shoulder, furrowing your brows.

"Have you been taking dancing lessons?" You questioned with a smile, seeing his face pop up from your neck.

He wore a slight smirk on his face as he responded, "Possibly." He said, dipping you and then bringing you back to his chest. "You know how hard it is for a blind man to learn dancing combinations? I look like an idiot when I'm in there."

You laughed, "Well at least they're private lessons so nobody else can see you."

"Oh but it's not just me." He shook his head and smiled, "No, Foggy wanted to join in as well."

You just about lost it when he said that, leaning your head back as you laughed. "Okay so let me get this straight, you and Foggy,"

"Mhm, yes." He said, swaying side to side with his hands on your hips.

"Are taking dancing lessons together?"

"Correct." Matt nodded.

You laughed, shaking your head. "Why the hell is Foggy taking dancing lessons for our wedding? He knows your marrying me not him right?"

Matt smiled, "He said just incase you happen to have a hot bridesmaid that he wants to be prepared to, and I quote from Franklin Percy Nelson himself," He paused, putting his finger up, "blow their panties off with his dance moves."

Matt loved the sound of your laugh. It was like sweet honey to his ears when you laughed, especially when it was a belly laugh. When you had a belly laugh around Matt he swore his heart belonged to you, practically hearing your smile as you laughed.

"Well now I want to see these dance moves."

Matt shook his head, "No can do. Can't risk Foggy getting ahold of your panties." You laughed as you placed your head in his chest. "I'm telling you Y/N, his moves are mesmerizing." He joked.

You had your arms wrapped around his neck as you swayed for a while longer, hearing Matt occasionally hum against your neck. You could stay like this forever with him.

Matt pulled back, staring down at you. Your eyes looked up at him full of nothing but lust and love.

"I love you." You said softly as you kept your gaze on him.

"And I love you more then words can describe, Y/N." He said before he leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to your lips, pulling back slowly as you continued to move with him, nestled into the comfort of his arms.
