SERIOUS ISSUES

Apparently, I fell asleep telling Elliot about the party I went to; missing out on the details, obviously. I woke in the morning with a heavy head and an aching body. My whole body felt warm and uneasiness was written all over me. I saw my mom and Elliot on the bed beside me with worried faces that scared me.

'Why are you both looking at me that way?' I croaked my throat was dry and voice weak.

Mom held my hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. Her hand felt cold while mine was burning for some reason. I coughed for water and was immediately provided with some warm water before mom left me with my brother. He disclosed it to me that I was in high fever which I had guessed from the cough. Mom came back with soup and some bread and left me only after I was done eating. I was forced to take medication despite of the fact I hated taking them. My mother had no idea as to how could I get sick staying inside the house. She was practically freaking out. Thankfully, Elliot hadn't let her on my secret of having snuck out last night and coming back home half dry.

I shot him an appreciative glance and he just smiled and gave a nod. She was so freaked out that she had decided to not let me leave till I got better. Okay, now she was starting to freak me out. Was she really forgetting the fact that I wasn't at junior school anymore and that I went to a university? Okay fine leaves are issued in the name of sickness, but my finals were coming. And I couldn't afford to lose a single lecture at this time. As it is I had already spent two days having fun. Well, more than just fun. But it was totally worth. But now I had to put aside everything and devote myself.

Nearly at ten in the morning I woke up again to the sound of my phone ringing. I moved in bed and reached for the phone on the nightstand. Groggily, I answered, 'Hello?'

'Well, good morning miss,' Arthur chuckled on the other side. 'How come you are still asleep? Don't you have to leave?'

I smiled at the excitement in his voice and also felt relieved by the fact that he was alright and that the fun we had at the night didn't get I'm sick. I decided not to spoil that by letting him know my condition.

'I have to,' I said trying to sound excited. 'But I will not leave until four.' I winced as I sat up. My body felt extremely heavy even though I was just lanky. I was trying hard not to cough. I really didn't want him to know that I was sick and take it all on him.

'What are you doing today?' he asked.

'I'm just going to stay at home, eat and sleep.'

'Do you want to go out and grab lunch before you leave today?' his voice was hopeful, slightly nervous as well.

I laughed at his nervousness but tried to joke, 'are you asking me out on a date Mr. Crawford?'

He chuckled. 'I could be.'

I giggled. 'Are you going to cheat on Diana with me?'

'Oh, absolutely. That'd be breaking news!'

I laughed and accidently a coughed. I tried to sidetrack him so that he wouldn't notice what had happened. 'Marcus would be so proud,' I said.

'What happened, Chastity? Are you alright?' he sounded anxious and also confused. I guess I was just too late to sidetrack him.

'Yeah,' I lied, smiling.

'Don't lie to me,' he warned. I laughed at his feeble threat and decided to come out white.

'Just a slight fever.' I didn't want to turn him down for the date, but I guess this would help him understand that I wouldn't be able to make it, in case.

'Oh, no. I am so sorry! It must've been because of last night,' he said, disappointment drenching his voice. 'I don't think at times Chastity I am so sorry.'

See what I meant by blaming it on him? 'It's just a slight fever, Arthur. I am fine otherwise. And last night was fun and I don't regret a bit of it.'

'I should've been more careful,' he groaned. 'I am sorry.'

I giggled, 'text me that thousand times later but stop whining right now.'

'Won't a hundred do?'

I laughed again. 'Seal the deal.'

'About the date?'

I smiled. 'I will be there.'

'How about I drive you to the station?'

I bit my lower lip, unsure of the offer. 'You want to?'

He laughed, 'of course I do silly. That's why I asked.'

It might seem crazy but I really loved the way he called me silly. I just wanted to hit pause and press rewind to hear it again- I sound like a complete freak- it made the butterflies mad in my stomach. I blushed and was smiling so hard that my cheeks hurt.

'Sasha will be with me?' I meant to just say that, but it came out more like a question.

He seemed to be thinking about it since there was silence for a while. 'I don't mind. We'll date some other day, so lunch today?'

I replied, grinning, 'of course!'

'At three?'

'At three.'

I squealed out loud not bothering to remember that I was sick as I was just too elated at the moment to even be bothered by my health. I realized that I had to call Sasha and let her know about the plan of meeting Arthur for lunch today. I knew how she was going to act and she did. I just laughed. She liked the idea of being friends with a famous star. She really wished if Blake could come too. But I really doubted that. Although I thought of suggesting that to Arthur, but I really didn't want to sound like a creep.

I slept until two; I was still a bit warm but vigorous still. I got fresh and dressed up to leave. I saw that mom had already got my bags packed for me. i checked my phone and almost screamed. there were a hundred and one messages from Arthur! hundred typed sorry and the one extra said, can't wait to see you. i smiled and went down. Elliot told me that he was going to stay for a while. And I wished that if I could too. I wish I had more time with my brother. He promised to come for Christmas. I smiled and giving a hug to each of the three, I went out to Sasha's sister, Dallas, waiting for me in her car, with Sasha in the passenger's seat. I really hoped she hadn't told her sister about our plans. Dallas dropped us off to the station where I got a call from Arthur asking us to wait for them there. I couldn't understand what exactly he meant by them, but soon realized that he had company.

Sasha was over the top when she found that out. I had my doubts that it'd be Blake and was soon proved right when the boys wearing hoodies and beanies along with heavy sunglasses approached us. I couldn't help but laugh at the way they had to disguise every time for their little life.

Sasha's fan girl side was dormant this time or perhaps she learned how to act around the boys. Blake hugged us both and kissed our cheek like he does always. However, Arthur shook hands with Sasha and kissed my cheek after hugging me tight. I was slightly taken aback, I was never going to get used to him acting this way. The boys got hold of our suitcases and led us to their big black van. Blake and Sasha walked ahead, leaving Arthur and I to talk. Sasha winked at me while walking away.

I blushed as Arthur and I walked slowly at a great distance behind them. I looked up at him to find him looking down at me intently. I blushed harder but didn't remove my eyes from him.

'How are you feeling?' he asked his voice too soft, too concerned.

'Mom says no ice creams for another week.'

'Damn! Ben and jerry's cancelled!' I giggled at the way he always played along.

'Too bad,' I pouted.

He laughed. We sat in the van after they adjusted our suitcases in the car. They fit in easily; we just had two with us, being one each. The boys sat in the front while Sasha and me in the back. They kept telling us of their upcoming interview at the radio station they were going to head to later and also about the events that were on the cure. They were really excited for their upcoming gigs. Blake told me how Noah and Nolan wanted to see me and I asked him to tell them that I wanted to see them too. I felt really bad that I had missed their birthday. So I just asked Blake to wish them for me.  They charted out a day for a plan to hang out with the boys but I had to deny because of my finals. However it didn't bother them and it really pleased me.

We got to Dairy Den, and honestly, I was really happy that it was nothing fancy. I could really use a burger right now. The boys got our orders for us and we sat outside of the parlour in the sun. It rarely was out so why waste a beautiful day inside? i thanked Arthur for the locket and even told him that my mom absolutely loved it. his face glowed with the biggest grin ever. Blake was much more himself around today, due to Sasha not going all fan girl on him and we really enjoyed this little change in her. I guess she was starting to comprehend everything and becoming aware how to take them from now on. The boys talked about their experience as a band, telling us how the fans can be adoring and annoying as well.

Blake once told us an incident when they were getting out of an airport and reached the van in half torn clothes. Sasha and I laughed out loud. It was really amusing to us, and the boys joined in. It was really a great chat. But the time flew away fast; how I had no idea. I told them about the girls Sasha and I had heard fantasizing about them. They both seemed utterly surprised and though he was laughing, I could really see the blush on Arthur's cheek.

After paying for the food we left for the van. Sasha and I were waiting by it while the boys were signing the autograph for a few little girls that had recognized hem. I teased Sasha in Blake's name to pass my time, and she began teasing me in Arthur's name. I rolled my eyes and stopped teasing her. Teasing was fun, but getting tease wasn't. But to be honest, I secretly liked that. Could that mean something?

Just then I saw Arthur sprinting towards us, while Blake strolled waving at his little fans.

'Hey, we ourselves are heading back to London, so we could drive you there?' Arthur suggested.

I was about to deny the offer, but Sasha's fan girl, waked up again. 'Yeah, sure. I mean, that'd be fun!'

'What do you say, Chastity?' he turned to me after having smiled at Sasha.

I liked the way he gave me the final word, but I didn't want to break Sasha's hope. Plus, what harm could be done right? Riding in a car with two famous and handsome boys was a really good bargain. Who would want to turn that down?

The sitting positions were the same, throughout the three hour ride. However I fell asleep in the middle of a conversation for the rest of the way. I guess the tiredness came from the fever or the medication. But I was really sound asleep. So much that I couldn't tell when I was carried to and tucked under my duvet in my bed. It was only later- I don't know when- I woke up that Sasha told me that it was Arthur that had carried me to my bed.

I couldn't help but smile at the fact that Arthur indeed carried me to the bed. But why was it giving me Goosebumps? Or even heating my cheeks up? Why was my heart fluttering at the thought?

I had some serious issues to work on.
