"SCREEEE- OUCH-!" The sound of metal crashing against the floor echoed around the lab.

"Peter!? Are you okay!?" Tony leapt to his feet, racing over to where the boy was lying, back against the ground.

Peter grimaced. "I'm fine," he said, voice strained. He sat up slowly, picking up the bits of metal he'd knocked down. "Sorry Mr. Stark."

"Kid you really need to be more careful," Tony chided, smile teasing as his features, "and I thought I said to call me Tony."

"Whatever you say Mr. Stark."

Tony let out a short laugh before returning to his work. Clearly, the kid was fine.

"Oh shit," Peter exclaimed, grabbing his backpack from the corner, "I'm late! Gotta go! Bye Dad!" The boy raced out of the room, leaving Tony speechless.

Dad?

Tony could get used to that.

— — —

Peter ran home, throwing open the door to the small two-bedroom apartment he shared with his other mentor.

Tony was his mentor for science and business and all that jazz, and was almost like Peter's dad. But this person was more like an uncle. The kooky one that shows up on Thanksgiving and Christmas with cultural stuff from around the world. The one that always seemed to know what you're thinking, sending you odd winks every now and again.

"You're late." Loki stood in the kitchen, back against the sink.

"Sorry Lokes, I just-"

"Got caught up with all that science again? I understand your passion but we're on a time crunch. You're going to be spending an entire week there soon and that means-"

"No magic, I know." Peter looked away, unable to meet Loki's eyes.

"Njall," Loki said, using Peter's Asgardian name, "I know you didn't mean too, but try not to be late next time?"

Peter nodded quickly. "Of course! I'll try really hard Loki!"

"I hope so." Loki smiled. "Let's get started, shall we?"

— — —

When Peter had first met Loki, he'd been swinging around as Spider-Man, just helping people out. It was years ago, but Peter remembered the day clearly.

He'd finished webbing up a mugger and the sweet old lady he'd saved was giving him one of the grandmother bear-hugs. She'd trotted off to continue what she'd been doing and Peter had been smiling.

"Child," a voice hissed, "why do you smile when such terror wreaks havoc on your home world?"

Peter turned, confusion clouding his face when he saw the figure draped in all green clothing. "I- Well-" Peter stuttered, slightly shocked by this man who looked like an old god.

"Do you enjoy their fear?" The person asked.

"Never!" Peter exclaimed, "I want to help them!"

The person raised an eyebrow. "Then perhaps, spiderling," a smile rose to their face, "you could use the help of Loki."

The two had bonded quickly, and eventually Loki started teaching Peter magic. He even gave him his Asgardian name.

Then one day Loki had invited him to visit Asgard. Who could say no to that? Peter talked to Aunt May, and she agreed as long as he didn't miss any school.

He'd gone to Asgard. He'd met Thor, Odin, Freya... And he'd learned he was worthy.

Peter had felt like the luckiest kid in the world. He didn't know what he'd done to deserve this, but these people—these gods—were like family. And Peter wouldn't give that up for the world.

Then Loki had found an apartment on Earth. He'd moved into New York. And now Peter lived with him half the time for extra Magic practice.

There was only one problem... Keeping his identity a secret. For now, only his Asgardian family knew his secrets—Magic and Spider-Man. And while Asgardian families are great, they aren't the best with secrets.

So when Peter headed to the tower the next morning, planning to stay for a week, he was surprised and nervous to find Thor would be there too.

"Oh kid!" Tony called, beckoning Peter with his hand.

"Yeah?" the younger responded, pulling his headphones out.

"There's someone I want you to meet." The two headed out to the living room and as soon as he saw the person he knew he was screwed.

"This is Thor," Tony said, gesturing to the man sitting on the couch. "Thor, this is Peter."

"Hello Peter!" Thor boomed, smile on his face, "A pleasure to meet you, young mortal."

Hold up- what? Thor knew who Peter was. Maybe..? Did he finally understand secret identities!?

Whatever this blessing was, Peter was going to take it.

"Nice to meet you too Mr. Thor God of Thunder sir," Peter exclaimed, feigning excitement.

"Why don't we head back to the lab before you go into fanboy overload, eh kid?" Tony laughed.

"Ok!" The pair headed back to the lab, and Peter was glad the incident was over.

He later learned that Loki had talked to Thor about it before hand, Thank Odin.

— — —

He knew he couldn't keep a secret identity forever, so why did he try?

Alarms blared through the tower, announcing that "We are being attacked."

No, duh.

The tower shook beneath Peter's feet, though he managed to keep his footing when some of the others fell over.

"How are you doing that!?" Clint asked.

Peter shrugged.

The Avengers were scrambling to their feet, rushing to fight the robots attacking the city.

"Head down kid," Tony ordered, "hide underground with everyone else."

Peter nodded, rushing down. But he didn't head to the basement. He went outside and hid in some bushes, defeating robots long-range with magic.

The rest started fighting too, but they were losing.

Badly.

Peter sighed and stood up, running over to where Thor was.

"Ah, Njall! Do you plan to fight?"

Peter nodded.

"Who-" someone started talking through the comms, but Peter was gone. He started by sending out a magic wave to find the robot's origin, then teleported to where they'd started.

"Bingo." He saw the small tower that was controlling the bots and sent out a wave of electricity to fry the circuits.

"Easy-peasy."

Now...

Time to tell the team.

I kinda lost motivation for that last fight scene but ehhhhh

Maybe I'll go back and re-write it some day.

For now, I hope you enjoyed! I don't plan on a part two but I might make another Uncle Loki type thing. So yeah, there's that.

Also do you all have anything you wanna see here? Suggestions? I can't make any promises but the suggestions chapter is always open! :D
