Annoying People

"It's not my fauwt that Cawter was being annoying!" Dawn pouted, crossing her arms and staring defiantly at her parents. "That doesn't mean you go kicking Carter," Tina replied, her voice weary. Theseus and Alice's son, Carter, had received a vicious kick in the gut from Dawn when he had sprinkled grass in her hair. "You act wike you have never met an annoying person befow!" Dawn shouted angrily. "I have, actually," Newt replied, sitting down by the fire. Dawn instantly sat in his lap. "Tell me about that person!" she demanded, her eyes sparkling with excitement. Newt took a deep breath before beginning his story.

"Before I met your mum, I traveled all over the world to study magical beasts with my case. In my case, I had a Thunderbird named Frank. I wanted to return him to his home in Arizona, so I went to New York. My original plan was to stay in New York for a few hours before heading off to Arizona. But when I got to a bank, my niffler got loose. I chased it all over the bank, and in the mess, a Muggle saw me preform magic. That's when I met the annoying woman. She yelled at me for not Obliviating the Muggle and setting the niffler free before she arrested me and took me to MACUSA. In the confusion, my case had been switched with the Muggle's, and several creatures got loose. I had to escape from the woman to find them, but she found me and arrested me again. I nearly died."

"What did you do to her, Daddy? Did you kick her too?" Dawn asked, eyes shining.

"No," Newt replied. He turned to Tina, his eyes full of love, his mouth formed in a beautiful smile.

"I married her."
