A few moons had passed, I had grown into a fine young kit. Soon I would be an apprentice, my fear of Sparrowfoot had grown. I padded out of the nursery, as I did Viperstar called a clan meeting.
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather around to hear my words, we have a new apprentice with us today, Maplekit from this moment on you shall be known as Maplepaw, your mentor shall be myself," Viperstar called, I puffed out my fur with pride. He jumped down and touched noses with me, after he did so he jumped back into high rock.
"Maplepaw Maplepaw Maplepaw Maplepaw!" The clan called, Viperstar silenced them by raising his tail.
"Clan dismissed," Viperstar said, he jumped down beside me.
"Are we going to see the territory?" I asked.
"Uhhhh not today, today I need you to hunting we must prepare for leaf bare," Viperstar said, I was annoyed but didn't show it. I knew nothing of hunting and yet he expected me to learn just like that, I would show him that I could do it.
