ON A HILL SIDE, AT NIGHT

Karan:Shut up preetha! Just shut up.

Preetha is startled by that shout.He rarely calls her preetha and when he does she feels special but not today.She is defending but he is not listening.

Karan: Kitni baar kaha maine math karo usse baath?

Preetha: Vo mera friend hai Karan aur main uska partner hu.Mujhe uske saath project karna hai.

Karan: Kya thumhe kisi aur nahi mili?

Preetha(contolling her anger): Partners meine nahi professor ne banaya hai.

Karan(gritting teeth): Maybe he managed the professor to be your partner.

Preetha: Kya baath kar rahe ho karan? Vo aisa kyun karega?

Karan: Kyunki wo thumhe pasand kartha hein aur iss bar hi nahi pichli baar bhi thumhe hi uski partner bani aur tab usine banaya tha.

Preetha: Pichli baar vo new the class mein. Wo kisiko nahi jaantha sirf mein hi hu.Isiliye vo mera partner bangaya.And I am telling you last time mere aur Siddhu ke beech kuch bhi nahi hai.

Karan: Kyaa...kya kaha? Sidhu? Wow....tab se Sidhu bangaya vo tera?

Preetha: Kya hua karan thum kyun rayee ko pahaad bana rahe ho?

Karan: Mein nahi thum us pahad ko hamare beech la rahe ho.

Preetha: Mein nahi thum la rahe ho.....har baar.Kyun mujhe itna pareshaan karthe ho?

Karan: Achaa mein thumhe pareshaan kartha hu aur vo Siddhu .....vo thumhe bahut kush rakhta hainaa? Bolo... bahut hasi se baath kar rahe ho uske saath.College bhi uske saath hi aa rahi ho.

Preetha : Kyaa....kab aur kaha dekha thumne?

Karan: Waahh....kya acting kar rahi ho thum haa? Mujhe pata hai thum aise hi react karogi ye dekho.

He shows the pics of her and Siddarth in his mobile.

Preetha was shocked.When he was not in town for 3 days how could he get them? Yeah Mahira might have clicked.

Preetha(sternly): Kisne bheja yeh pics?

Karan: Thats not the point you tell me first why you came with him?

Preetha (very sad to give him the explanation): Mujhe pata hai thumhe kisne bheja hein aur thumhe kya kaha hoga.I didn't expect that one day I have to explain you.Ok.....thumhe pata haina vo mere ghar ke paas rehtha hai  subah ghar aaya aur ma ne kaha uske saath jao. Aur canteen mein akele the isiliye vo aaya.

Karan(mocks): Achaa agar thumhari maa uske shaadi karne ko kehthi tho karogi naa?

Preetha(irritated): Mein kyun aisa karungi?

Karan: Kya pata? Itna kush jo the thum uske saath!

Preetha(frustrated): Haa bahot kush hu uske saath kyunki vo tumhari tarah mujhe judge nahi kartha aur kisi aur kehne par mujh par nahi chillatha .He trusts me.You know what he is better than you.

Karan is blown to hear those words from her.She has hit his bad nerve.Tears cloud his eyes at the same time anger is clearly shown in them.

Karan(gritting): I know thum aise hi baath karogi........because you got him.Mein chillatha hu isiliye uske paas gayi .....thum bhi usi ke tarah nikli.......Thumhari jaisi ladkiyon ko mere jaise ladke sirf paise aur society ko dikhane keliye hothe hai.Cheap girls.

And this time he has hit her bad nerve that too in a worst way.Tears are falling unknowingly and she doubted whether she is her Karan.And she realised he is not her Karan anymore.

Preetha(wiping her tears and firmly): Thum bahot bakwas bol chuke ho karan.Mujhe har bar lagtha tha ki kya mein thumhari layak hu?Kya mein thumse mil saktha hu? Mujhe aaj samaj aa gaya ki mein nahi.... thum meri layak nahi ho.Meri aukat thumhari se bahot badi hai. Karan  meri parivaar aur atma samman mujhe bahot important hai.Mein unki khilaf kuch bhi nahi karungi.It's time for us to depart our ways.

Karan(feels a pinch in his heart but firmly): kehtey haina jo bhi hotha hai ache keliye hotha hai.Mujhe bhi acha hi hua.Aur aukath ki baath mat karo kyunki aukath ki baath karne ki aukath nahi hai thumhe.Not you I am telling we are not made for each other.

Preetha(with tears): Khosthi hu mein us dinko jab mein thumhe mila hai..... Good Bye! 

And she goes off without listening to him,

Karan(shouts while seeing her running): Mein bhi khostha hu uss din.Good bye Preetha Arora.

O Re Taare Kaise Toonay,

 Bachpana Ye Kar Diya Hai,

He kicks the tyre and breaks his phone in frustration.He shouts loudly and falls down on his knees and cries his heart out.He cries seeing the stars.He cries for her.But he remembers the pics and her words and wipes his tears.

Karan: No.Wo aise hi hai uske naam bhi mere muh se nahi ana chahiye,mujhe bhi meri family important hai. Career important hein.Meri zindagi mein nahi hai vo abse.Nai hein.

He wipes his tears and drives to home.

Sach Batana Mere Hisse,

Kiske Dil Mein Ghar Diya Hai,

He doesn't go to college for the next week.To come out of everything,he goes to his sister's place.He thought it would be easy but its harder than difficult to forget her.Something used to remind of her everyday.One day when he is lying on the coach beside the long glass wall facing the beach,it started raining.He remembered something.

aran is lying on the coach beside the balcony in her room when she entered,

Preetha: Mr.Beshram thumhara tution over hai ab aap jaaoge aapka ghar?

Karan: Wahh.....izzat ke saath daatna koyi thumse hi sikhe.Waise aao yaha dekho bahar.

Preetha(goes and sits seeing outside): kitna khoobsurat haina.......bahot acha hein.

And she enjoys seeing the view while Karan enjoys seeing her.

Karan: stabse zyada khoobsoorat tho mere saamne hai.

Listening this,she smilingly tucks her hair.Karan seeing her just keeps his palm on his face and closes his eyes "Ye ladki mujhe zaroor maaregi ek din" . When preetha looks at him confused,

Preetha: Kya hua?

Karan(looking at her): ktuch Kuch hua .....dar lag raha ki aur kya hoga.

Then he suddenly pulls her and places her between his legs and lies down.He holds her closely.

Preetha(shocked): Kya kar rahe ho karan ma aajayegi?

Karan(closely hugging her): chup bilkul chup.....kitne baar kaha meine aisa math karo mer samne thum sunthe hi nahi ho(Preetha then realises what she did.Karan likes her very much when she tucks her hair.He does some crazy thing when he sees her like that.She bites her tongue)  haa....ab thumhe punishment dena hoga!

Preetha(cutely): Arey meri aadat hay mein kya karu?

Karan: Thumhari aadath mujhe maar rahi hein.Come on like a good girl give me sweet chumma.

Preetha (widens eyes and gets an idea): Ok!

Karan is shocked as she accepted and saw her getting up ,he stops and hold her closely. 

Karan(smirks): Mujhe pata hai thum kya karogi aise hi dedo 

 Preetha(sighs & shouts) : Cockroach...cockroach!

At once Karan leaves her and climbs the bed and shouts,

Karan: Kaha...kaha....?

Preetha: Mere saamne!

It then strikes to him and he runs after her and finally he takes what he wanted,

Karan: Kaha baagogi.....finally mere paas hi aana hai thumhe!

Haadse Hain 'Gar Ishq Mein,

He jerks suddenly and gets angry on himself.He wants to forget her but could not.

 Man Murade, Man Muradein,

 Paas Baithi Mayoosi Se Aadhi Ratein,

At night when he saw the drink,

Preetha: Mujhe drink karne logon bilkul pasand nahi hai,I hate them.Agar thum kabhi bhi drink kiya na mein thujse baath nahi karungi.

Karan: Tab thumhareliye meine drink touch nahi kiya , ab thumhari wajah se mein drink kar raha hu.I hate you.

 Cheeni Dori Pe Ye Chalti Man Muradein,

And he starts drinking at nights.Her memories and herself are gone into trash.He made up his mind and life to live without her.

That night she ran to her home and cried her heart out silently.She did not expect this in her wildest of wildest dreams.She slept & found herself on bed next morning with fever.Her parents are tensed for the sudden fever and asked her about it to which she pretends nothing.She thanked god silently for the fever as due to this reason she would not go to college. She is also in the same position as him, trying to forget him.When she is sleeping,she remembers an incident

Karan: Preetha, aao na yaar aur kitna puja karogi .

Preetha(narrows eyes): Shhh (shows him chup)

After few minutes she comes to him,

Karan(sighs): Ek baath bathao kitna wishes mangogi thum? Aur mangne keliye bhi kya hain thumhein sab kuch best mila hai aur kya?

Preetha :  Isiliye mein thanks bol rahi hu.

Karan(confused): Ha?

Preetha(hits his head): Mr.Budhuram mujhe sab best mila haina isliye mein bhagwan ko thanks bol rahi hu.Best parivar, best friends, best college  aur.......

She stops while karan is eagerly waiting for his name.

Karan(fully excited): aur.....bolo...bolo.

Preetha(giggles): Aur best budhu bhi mil gaya!

Karan narrows his eyes and keeps an angry face,

Karan: Mein budhu.......zara dhyan se dekho aur bathado. 

And he waits for her answer and she acts to examine him.

Preetha: Right mujhe budhu nai....JOHNNY BRAVO mil gaya.

And she laughs hard when a child comes there,

Ram: Hey meine aapko dekha hai

Karan(rising his shirt up and with attitude): Achaa... Kaha beta?

Ram: Cartoon show mein aap johnny bravo heina.Aap real mein exist karthe ho autograph dedona please.

And karan face falls down terribly while preetha laughs very hard holding her stomach.

Fad-Fadaate Rehna Mera,

 Teri Uljhano Ke Darmiyan,

Preetha wakes up and laughs remembering that but reality shook her.She tightly closes her eyes and fists and tears make their way out.At nights,she used to cry a lot seeing their pics and in the morning she pretended to be normal.She is feeling hell.

Preetha: Thum kisi aur ki baat suna tha meri nai......bhulunga thumhari baathe bhi aur thumhe bhi Karan .Meri family aur studies mujhe bahot important hai.Vo dono ki upar kuch bhi nai

A transformation of innocent and shy preetha to determined  PREETHA ARORA

They are ready to face each other and for a new beginning.

After a week they both attended college.Karan is standing near the library and preetha is climbing the stairs,when they both see each other.Floods of memories flows through them but they stop themselves and Preetha crosses him ignoring while Karan goes down bringing a new change in their lives.

Days and years pass by, Preetha became the University topper and Karan won the Ranji Trophy.Besides them, Preetha is working as incharge to culturals  whereas Karan completes his studies with 1st class.Both are busy in thier respective fields and lives.

Its time to say bye to thier college life juniors arranged a farewell party for all the Seniors.Where Preetha comes in a pink and silver saree,loose hair,with beautiful earings and bangles, Karan while sipping his drink and talking with friends sees her.
