manik blinked a little before taking a deep breath... his eyes were a little misty... he heard the doorbell ring...

manik: who would come at this time... he thought it was still early in the morning... he went down and opened the door revealing aliya...

manik: aliya tum (you)... he said... his voice was hoarse and his eyes were red... aliya looked at him and sighed...

aliya: manik how are you... Mujhe andar nahi bulaoge (wont you let me in)...  she said while manik moved aside and let her enter...

manik: kya huva aliya (what happened aliya)... he said closing the door and went near aliya who now sat on the sofa and was looking around... he found it suspicious...

aliya: kuch nahi manik (nothing manik)... just looking around... hmmm so... nandini came back... she asked while manik shook his head... aliya opened her eyes wide and nodded... she then looked at her watch and muttered something...

aliya: i can't afford to make a wrong move... damn... she muttered... manik who heard it was confused... he was about to ask when ping* aliya's phone rang...

aliya unlocked her phone to see a message...

aliya looked at it and gulped down her saliva... she looked around... manik was now more suspicious... aliya looked at him and smiled awkwardly...

aliya: manik pani (water) please... she said while manik nodded and was about to go when aliya stopped him...

aliya: manik tum ruko ( you wait) i will get it... it looks like you were working on something right... i will get it... she said while manik narrowed his eyes but she escaped fastly... aliya went to the kitchen...

aliya: coffee bana lethi hoon (i should make coffee) ... it wont be suspicious then... she thought and searched for the ingredients... she started making coffee... she kept the cups in a tray and then took a white packet and added its contents in it... while doing this she sent a pic of the coffee to rahul... who was outside the mansion and sent a smiley in return...

aliya took the tray and went near manik... the tray was literally shaking... she went near manik who was now typing something in the laptop... she came near him and put the cup in front of him... manik smiled in acknowledgement... aliya let out a guilty smile but manik thought it was a normal one...

aliya looked troubled...

aliya: (mein kya karu (what should i do)... manik... i am really sorry... but if i back out now i will also get killed... they must have surrounded the whole mansion by now... rahul... even though i did so many things for you... you never gave me any attention... i think i now understand how manik felt... i am sorry manik... i truly am... ) she thought ... manik looked up to see that aliya was about to cry... he was confused...

manik: alu whats wrong... he said softly being concerned about her as a true friend...

aliya: manik... i am very sorry... i truly am... she said as tears made their way from her eyes... she was continuously crying while manik looked helpless not knowing what to do... manik gave her the coffee as she finally calmed down... he was about to touch his when aliya pushed it away causing it to break...

manik: aliya... what are you doing... he said while aliya shook her head... hearing this commotion rahul who was out, came in to check what was happening...

aliya: manik don't... please don't touch it... it was... she was about to speak when she heard a shout which made her shiver in fear...

rahul: aliya!!!! how dare you betray us... he shouted and signaled his men to come in... manik then realized what was happening... he looked at aliya who also looked at him pleadingly...

they were being surrounded... manik looked at rahul in mockery...

rahul: oh no manik that is not the expression i wanted to see on your face... still as arrogant as ever... even in the face of death... he said as he went near them... manik looked at him with dead blank eyes... he observed his surrounding... there were 7 men in the room all armed with guns and he knew outside there were going to be even more... aliya tried to hide behind manik but rahul dragged her out by her hand...

rahul: my dear so-called love... how dare you betray us aliya... seems like your love for me is really weak... you cant even do a thing for me... most of all you betrayed the mafia king... for this manik... huh... he snorted as he tightened his grip around her arms making them red... manik glared at rahul who looked amused... he started laughing... hearing his laugh manik lost it... he went near rahul and punched him hard... it all happened in seconds... manik elbowed rahul's ribs and kneeled down in a swift move and took his pocket knife and inserted it on his foot making blood erupt from it as rahul yelped in pain... (imagine it like this guys...)

all his men started shooting manik who went behind the sofa and pulled one of the baskets and emptied its contents in a swift manner... aliya who was hiding beside him was confused... she was afraid that they were going to die... but then she couldn't believe what she saw... it was a gun...  a god damn GUN...

aliya was sure that she would have fainted if not for the situation... manik pulled the trigger and started shooting... he held aliya's hand and stood up... he shot one of rahul's men in his leg... he shot with out missing a target... but as you know there would only be six bullets in a gun...his gun was out of ammo (i think this was what they call right😓😓😌)... there were still 3 of his men standing... rahul plucked out the pocket knife... he was observing the situation... he knew manik wouldn't surrender without putting up a good fight... that's why he came prepared but what he didn't expect was aliya's betrayal... he was very angry at her... his men held manik who was struggling to be free... he went near aliya and slapped her hard... she fell on to the floor crying... he went near manik... he punched manik hard that even his hand was bleeding... manik spit some blood as rahul punched him once again...

rahul: this is what you get manik for punching me... doesn't it pain... don't worry i will give you eternal slumber then you wont have any pain... see i am so kind to you... he said as he stretched his hand...his subordinate passed him a gun... he pointed it at manik's forehead...when they heard someone...

voice: WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING IN HERE!!!! she shouted... she just went out for a day.... just one day and there was so much drama happening here... she was very furious seeing some one point a gun at her BELOVED MANI... actually she was supposed to come here the next day but an unexpected phone call made her come a day before...( congrats to the people who got it right!!!!👏👏👏👌)

phone convo...

person: hello... this is ALIYA... i know you are not expecting this but.... Nandini i have something very important to say... its about manik... she said biting her nails... while nandu frowned...

nandu: what is it... she said sternly while aliya took a deep breath...

aliya: they are... planning to kill manik tomorrow.... she said hurriedly... while the other side listening to this nandu's fist turned white...

nandu: WHAT. DID. YOU. SAY.... she said emphasizing each word in fury... aliya took a deep breath and started to explain...

aliya: rahul and.... the mafia king ricky are planning to kill manik... she said clenching her phone while nandu closed her eyes...

nandu: how do you know this... and weren't you with rahul... why are you saying this to me...  she asked while this question shook aliya slightly...

aliya: please trust me... i dont want to do this but if i dont do as they say i dont think they will think twice to kill me... i just want to fulfill my part of job as a friend... please i am sorry... but please trust me... she pleaded... aliya didnt know why but she thought nandu would be able to do something... and nandu knew this more than anyone especially about him... he wont leave the people who betrayed him... never....

nandu: do as they say... buy some time... i will be there... she said and cut the call...

aliya: i hope everything goes well... she thought looking at her phone...

end flash back...

aliya looked at her with relief in her eyes... manik looked at nandu blankly not knowing how to react... rahul looked at nandu with malicious intent...

rahul: how the hell was she able to enter the mansion... where the hell are my men.... he thought out a loud... nandu looked at him blankly...

nandu: oh the pests outside... i killed them... she said... while rahul laughed at her...

rahul: stop joking... do you think i will believe you... he said as he went near her with his gun... meanwhile aliya stood up with the support of the sofa and manik was still observing nandu not sure if he was just dreaming...

nandu: do i look like i am joking right now... she said... and rahul was just able to mutter a what as he saw nandu pull out her guns and shoot his men beside manik in a swift move... all her shots were right on mark... manik stood up as he pushed the bodies aside... aliya just wanted to vomit at the sight of those blood oozing bodies... rahul was about to make a move on nandu when she dropped her gun and twisted his hand then kicked him... he fell down... he stood up again holding the gun tightly and raised it towards nandu when manik knocked him out from behind...

nandu looked at manik and smiled a little while manik looked at her blankly... she knew she had to answer him and she was ready for it too... she was about to speak when they heard a loud thump...

aliya was unconscious... she fainted... manik went near her and lifted her in a princess carry style meanwhile nandu looked at the scene with blank eyes biting her lip...

manik took aliya to the guest room and put her on the bed... he tucked her with a blanket and came out to see nandu siting near the garden pressing her forehead and some men were taking the bodies out... not rahul though as he was just unconscious... they tied him up and left him at a corner...

manik went near her and hugged her tightly... nandu was taken aback at first but soon recovered and was about to hug him too when manik left her and sat in the chair beside hers... nandu sighed and sat beside him...

manik: who are you nandini... he asked nandu bit her lip as she heard him call her NAME... not dreamy not nandu... but nandini...

nandu: i wanted to tell you about this way before mani... but i never got the chance to... you really didnt care about my past... to which i am thankful but i knew some day i needed to face this... if you want to know then i will tell you... but i am afraid that you wont accept me... she said holding his hand in her...

manik: i want to know more about you nandini... i want to know who you were before being my dreamy... and how do you know me before we even met... he asked looking at her... while nandu widened her eyes shocked...

nandu: how did you know... she said being confused genuinely...

manik: do you remember the first time we met in the bar... you said that i saved you even though i dont know you... so i assumed you knew me from before... he said blankly while nandu let out a chuckle she signaled the people to go away... now it was only manik, nandini with an unconscious rahul...

nandu: i must be very drunk that moment... and yes i know you from before... i know you would have searched everything about me mani... but there are somethings people dont know about me... let me tell you a story... she said as she looked out into the garden...
