He walked through the hallway and stopped at one of room on his right before reaching his room. He knew well who's room it belong to. It was his late brother Max. He died last year but Alec never forget what happened on that day. That day still haunts him.

Flashback
It was Max's birthday, he's turning 10 and he was so excited not just for his birthday party that mum was preparing but because Alec promised him he would come. He knows cause he invited him, and he just spoke to him an hour ago and said that he's getting ready and he will come. He remembered well that day he was getting ready putting on his dark emerald green shirt, with top button opened and exposed his top chest. Then he put on his black skinny jeans on his long leg, making it more longer and showing his skinny legs even more, and Magnus, well Magnus still in bed, he went out last night and came home late and drunk as hell.

The fact that Alec couldn't sleep after Magnus came back since he has to cleaned up after the mess he made, he still felt energetic cause he will see his baby brother. He missed him so much cause they both never separated since he was born. Max was so clingy around Alec unlike around Jace or Izzy, he respected Alec being his big brother and more like father figured to him since Robert wasn't home that much to guide him.

After Alec ready, putting on his cologne and he went to Magnus who still lying on bed under the blanket. He kissed his Alpha's forehead and whispered, " I will go out for a while, I'll be back this evening." He knew Magnus couldn't hear him but he just couldn't left the house without giving him a kiss. Even though how bad the argument got, he will always kiss him before he left the house and so was Magnus. They just promised each other so that if anything happened to either of them outside, that would be their last kiss together and they will have no regrets.

Soon he drives his car to his old house and the party was at the backyard. He went in after he knocked but it was opened by Jace, who's expecting him. "Alec!" Jace said and pulled him in a hug and patted his back. He gave Jace a smile and walked in. They both went to the backyard and saw a lot of small kids running around the house and there's also a big balloon castle at his lawn. Their parents really do whatever Max wants. Soon as Max saw Alec coming in, he ran towards him and Alec just hug him and carried him. They were so happy till Robert came and saw Alec, he was furious.

"What are you doing here? Your not welcome in this house." Alec put Max down on the ground and stand up straight. He looked at his father in rage. "this is my house too, and Max is my brother. You can't stop me from seeing them." Alec had enough. "your not part of this family anymore! You leave this house before I called the cops" Robert shouted, but Maryse just hold back his husband's shoulder, "enough Robert, Alec is our son, he has every right to be here."

"shut up! Stop defending your disgusting son!" Robert pointed his finger towards his wife and she turned her face down on the ground.

"Dad!" Izzy started to shout and he saw Max already cried on Alec's leg. "alec has every right to be here, he's Max's brother and he is my brother, you can't cut the bloodline between us! He is still your son."

"He is not my son! a son would do whatever his parent told him too and he will obey them, not leave them behind." Robert shouted. He had enough with them trying to defend Alec. But Alec felt even worst and he decided to take his leave. " I did everything you asked me too, I obey every words you gave me, every command since I was a kid till I am adult. but I couldn't do it anymore if you asked me to pretend I am not gay and married some woman to make you happy! I can't destroy other people's lives just to pleased your disgusting request! I didn't leave my family, you threatened me to make my life and Magnus a living hell if I didn't get out from this house. Now I will obey what you told me and be the son you wanted, I will take my leave."

He said with a broken heart and a teary eyes, he bend down on his knees and hug Max and placed his palm on the little boy's cheek. "I love you, remember that always." He said and Max just couldn't stop crying and hug Alec. " Please Alec, don't go this. I might never see you anymore." Max's words just caught him and he wish he knew what Max meant by then. Then Alec get up on his feet and gave a last look on his father, " I might be gay but at least I'm not as black hearted as you. If being straight means I have to be like you, I rather fucked 10 guys and have you hated me all your life"

He hugged Izzy and kiss his mum on her tearing cheek, "I'm sorry," thats all he could say and then he stormed out his own house. That was the last time he saw Max.

End of flashback

The next time he saw Max he was already lifeless in a casket. He was in an accident with Izzy but it wasn't her fault. The truck came out of nowhere and hit Izzy's car and causing it to flipped over. If it wasn't the news, he wouldn't have known what happen. The worst part was hearing that his baby brother was thrown off from the car cause he was not wearing any seat belts. He was devastated hearing the news he tried to kill himself, but fortunately saved by Magnus. As much as he hated Magnus when they have their fights and after he kicked him out, Magnus still a big part of his life, his rock when he was at the edge of killing himself. But thats another chapter to be reminisce later. 

He was so exhausted after the fight with Magnus and he just went to his room. Closing the door and head to his bed. He put his bag pack down and stripped from his clothes and head to the shower. He spend some time in it thinking back on the event that happen today with his boyfriend, ex-boyfriend. Who knew, you woke up one day all rainbow and sunshine and the next thing you knew, you broke up with the love of your life. 

Soon after he was done crying his eyes out in the shower, he went back to his room. Luckily for Alec his room is attached to a bathroom. His own private bathroom. That is why Isabelle and Jace wanted his room so much when he left the house but fortunately his mum wont let them have it. The room stays as it is in case he came back. Well guess he owes his mum a thank you note. Which he will do it later.

Alec never felt so tired in his life that he feels like his body being beaten up by a wood or something. So he decide to sleep instead come down for dinner. He dozed off soon as his head hit the pillow. But though his sleep is not pleasant enough for him, cause he started to dream about Magnus. Wishing things were different.

"Alec." Izzy called out his name, but no answer. So she decided to enter his room after few knocks unanswered. As she enters the room, it was dark and cold. Alec must have forgotten to close the window again, she thought. She went in and straight to the window seal and closed it shut. Then she turned around and find Alec curled up in bed without any blanket on. He must be freezing, she thought.she saw how Alec frowning and mumbling in his own dream. She smiled and sighed seeing his elder brother became so miserable and never she would thought his brother would have such a fucked up life.

Being omega doesn't affect if your a girl cause it always has been like that for centuries but for a guy. You can be so vulnerable especially if your Alpha left you. She pulled up the blanket at his feet up to his shoulder and kiss him on the temple. Alec frown again and said, "Magnus. Please..p please, don't leave me." Izzy felt like a stab in her heart and she didn't even realized how her tears just dropped. She loves her brother so much and it kills her seeing him like this. She decide to see Magnus and talk about this but then she realized its not her placed to do that. She will let Alec sobbed and recover, he will be alright, she knows Alec is strong. He will fight this through. Time will heal.

She went out from his room and came down to the kitchen where everybody already were. "he's not coming down for dinner, he fell asleep. I tried to wake him but he was too tired to get up." She lied. She doesn't want her mum to see Alec like this. Plus she knew Alec very well that if she woke him up he wont come down. She knows how break up works. She been through it after she broke up with her ex Meliorn. She used to see him after class which she took at the University with her boyfriend Simon. They would meet up and have coffee together at Java Jones where Simon would play his gig there. After all that's how they met.

But what worrying Izzy was how Alec got really skinny and pale. She also notice sometimes Alec has bruises here and there but thought it might be from rough sex he had with Magnus but it's unpredictable cause he saw couple of bruises on his upper arm and the way the bruise is it couldn't have been Magnus. Magnus would never hurt Alec.

As she was lost in her thought, Jace nudge her elbow cause he has been asking to pass on the salt for few minutes now. She was so startle and accidentally shouted, " I don't know!" Then she realized it was Jace and she gave everybody an embarrassing looks. "sorry, I was thinking about some class project" she lied. Then she passed the salt to Jace and gave him the 'I will tell you later look'. Jace just nodded and agreed to it.

After dinner, Jace and Izzy head to the garage and told they needed something from the car and she was scared to go alone and Jace was just accompanied her. Maryse just shooked her head thinking how Izzy still afraid of being alone even though she is a grown up. Max was always the one who keep her company if she got scared. Even if she is older, Max is much braver than she is.

Soon as they arrived the garage, Izzy spilled out everything and told Jace what she thinks. Jace end up bursting in laughter and Izzy was more confused cause she didn't understand why he is laughing. She slapped her brother's arm and pinched his waist, "stop laughing, this is serious!"

"oouuchhh Izzy, why did you do that?" Jace rub his waist in pain after being pinched by Izzy. "Look, Izz, we both knew Magnus is a bit lothario, you think Alec would have normal fluffy sex with him? Of course the Alpha sex is way more rougher, unlike your soft cuddly boyfriend the Beta." He just laughed again and again he got pinch and slapped by Izz. "Fine! But if Magnus hurt my brother, I will kill him. Alpha or no Alpha I don't care!" she just turned around, flipped her hair and headed to the door.

"oh yeah, with what? your death pinch?" Jace laughed even more and pissed Izzy off. She just pointed he middle finger to Jace and left the garage. Jace always the teaser in the family and Izzy loves her brother so much but sometimes Jace can be idiotic and naive. Izzy still intend to find out what is wrong. She doesn't believe it happens because of Magnus. even though how much she hated Magnus for breaking up with his brother, but she know he would never hurt Alec.
