AN: ALRIGHT so today is my last day in NYC which is sad for me but updates should be more frequent now, and I'm telling you I've been getting so many ideas for stories I'm trying to decide whether to hold off on posting them or just post them all at once. So anyway, this is just a little short cute fluffy filler Chapter but here you go.

A huge grin spread across Jack's face.

"What do you think?"

"Yes?" Katherine said hopefully, and he laughed.

"Of course, yes!" She let out a very un-Katherine type squeal and hugged him. He winced, trying to hide the slight pain in his ribs, but Katherine of course noticed and pulled back immediately.

"Sorry."

"It's fine. And y'know, I think I like doing this better." He leaned in and kissed her.

When Jack woke up, he was extremely confused. He definitely wasn't in bed. After a few moments to process his surroundings, he realized that Katherine was sleeping on his shoulder.

"Katherine. Kath, c'mon, wake up." He nudged her and she slowly stirred, opening her eyes.

"What?"

"We fell asleep."

"Oh." She said with a slight smile before picking her head up off of his shoulder. "Oh." The latter statement was said with a much more distressed tone, causing Jack to look at her in confusion.

"What?"

"My parents are going to kill me."

"Why?" Katherine sighed in exasperation at his obliviousness, momentarily forgetting about his head injury.

"I didn't come home last night. They're probably already awake and if I know them, my mother is going to be worried sick thinking that I've been kidnapped, and my father will be furious, assuming that I've been out doing drugs or partying all night." She stood up and started pacing. "And when I show up they're both going to kill me. I can't believe I could've been so stupid, to let myself fall asleep, I know better. When they find out where I've been they'll jump to conclusions and decide that you and I had 'inappropriate relations' and then they may even disown me, and school, what time is it?" Jack opened his mouth to answer but she cut him off. "I know you have some time off until you're fully healed but I have to get to school, if I'm late I'll never forgive myself, how could I have been so stupid?!"

"Katherine." Jack stood.

"What?"

"Calm down." He drew her into his arms and he could feel how tense she was.

"But -"

"You'll be fine." He stared her in the eyes until she relaxed and let out a breath.

"How do you do that?"

"Do what?"

"I don't believe it until you say it."

"What can I say?" He smirked. "I'm a very convincing person." Katherine rolled her eyes and lightly slapped his chest.

"Shut up."

"You doubting my amazing skills of persuasion?" Jack said with a laugh, and she grinned before kissing him. He grinned when they pulled away.

"Mm, I like that." He pulled her back down onto the couch with him and put an arm around her.

"Jack, I really do need to get home."

"Nope."

"Jack."

"No. I just got you for real, you can stay a little longer."

"But school...?"

"You can just tell them that your boyfriend is deathly ill and asked you to stay with him as his dying wish." That elicited a small laugh from Katherine.

"They know you aren't dying."

"Well tell them I am because you're not going." She looked at him and noted that he completely serious. She hesitated, before sighing and nodding.

"Only you could get me to stay home from school, Jack Kelly."

"Yeah, well enjoy it, cause you know when Davey finds out he might be even more upset than your parents." Katherine smiled.

"You're probably right. Let's just ignore them all for now, then." She buried her face in his chest, making sure to be careful of his injuries. He grinned.

"Gladly."
