Chapter 10, Packing

It started to rain on our car ride home. Home. I thought about that. I actually considered Andrew's home my home. Mr. Dan and my father kept talking about how technology is so advanced now. (I wonder how that conversation started.) Andrew took my hand. "When we get home, will you help me pack up my stuff?" he asked. "Sure," I replied. He smiled his great big smile.

We talked the rest of the way home. When we got there, Andrew and I ran to his room. We grabbed boxes and stared putting things away. I started with Andrew's book shelf. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I spun around. Andrew was smiling at me. I closed my eyes and leaned into kiss with him. I felt him take my hands. We stopped and I opened my eyes. His eyes seemed to tell me he cared for me, loved me with all of his heart. He turned to his bed and started to put stuff away again. I turned to the book shelf and began putting books away into a box.

It took me about an hour to put away the books. He had lots of books. Next, I started putting away stuff in the closet. I saw he had a lot of football cards. He must of liked them once. I saw old pictures of him. In one picture, he was graduating from kindergarten. He was really cute. I put it away. He had a lot of trash in his closet. It took two hours and fourteen minutes to pack everything in it. Then, I decided to use magic. "Andrew," I said, "sit on the floor please." He obeyed. I closed my eyes. I opened them and everything was in boxes. "Wow!" Andrew exclaimed. We ran to help everyone else.

When we finally finished, we moved the boxes into the moving van and climbed into the car. We sat in the same seats as last time. "Say good bye to our old home," Mrs. Joy said. We drove away. Andrew leaned forward. "Can you make this car fly?" he asked my dad. My dad laughed and did just that. Andrew leaned back and fell asleep. I did the same.

When we got there, we all chose our rooms. "Callie," Andrew said. "What?" I asked. Taking his hands. We kissed.
