Filled with pain and sorrow

Should we try to fix a life

Hoping for a better tomorrow

Is life meant to be cured

To be treated as diseased

A hope to find someone

With answers to be seized

Or is the reality

That all life endures pain

And sorrow often follows

And some lives constantly rain

Or is life a challenge

A journey that one follows

A life that is managed

Could this thought be a motto

Despite grand pain and sorrow

Can inner balance be found

While others offer options

Are answers inner bound

Are we the only ones

Who can understand our lives

All the pains and sorrows

Which cut us like sharp knives

So we take a hand when offered

But we do not forget

The answers are inside us

Our minds are our best bet
