I opened my eyes to the science officer telling the others about the new births. "The dog has chestbursted a bambi buster, and the prisoner chestbursted a chestburster. Analysis shows it's a drone. Most of the facehuggers are disposed of and the rest are in cryostasis." I decided I should go see these new xenos and stay as far away as possible. I knew I would be in danger the moment I signed up, I wanted to have adventure just like Ellen Ripley. Then the science officer turned and looked at me "Ah Chris! I'm glad you're awake! We need you to relieve the guards from their posts, pick their replacements and come to my lab, I've got something to show you! It should intrigue you, deeply." I went over to the guards and saw the new xenos.

"Megan and Megan, you two are relieved, go find new guards."

"Thank you."

"Thanks Chris!"

It was time to go see what Ian had instore for me, but I wanted to see the xenos. I walked over to the cages and saw the bambi burster and the regular chestburster. The chestburster was trying to escape, obviously in vain, as was the bambi burster, but when it noticed me it stopped and the tried to get me through the glass, screeching. I heard footsteps behind me and bolted for the lab, hoping to not be caught, I opened the door and went inside. I was greeted by a predator glaring at me, making it's clicking sounds.

"Ah, Chis! Glad you're here, here is what I was telling you about." I walked over to the table and inside of a tube, was a chestburster, but something was different about it. "This is a predator-xenomorph hybrid, from that predator's brother. It is a brand new species, I dubbed it the predalien, fitting isn't it?"

"Yes very, um, Ian, it's going to molt soon, it will need a cage, so we all don't die."

"I was thinking about that at this very moment, Chris, can you go find Nick, he should be able to help us." Nick is our other science officer, but he is also a pretty good medic.

"Sure thing."

I was beginning to leave when he said "Oh yes, we will be arriving on Lv 426 soon, we hope to find the so called Queen Xenomorph. We must be careful so no heroics. I will not be going, so you must bring back samples. Nick can't get samples either because he needs to make sure that everyone is taken care of."

I nodded and left to go tell the others and get Nick. As I passed the predator she said "Stupid humans,the queen will kill you all! If not her, then her children will!" there seemed to be fear in her eyes, but I ran out too soon to process it. I told all of the other marines about the landing and then went to find Nick. I found him in the clinic and saw him cleaning out a syringe.

"Nick?"

"Yes, what is it Christine?"

"You are needed to come help Ian with a new chestburster." Nick nodded

"Thank you Christine, I will go after I finish cleaning this syringe." I was relieved I could finally stop running errands for people and went to my quarters to rest before the landing.

The bambi burster was suddenly still. It had never stopped moving before. Then, suddenly a sound occurred, a strange cracking sound. The bambi burster had molted! It was now a full fledged runner!
