I wasn't born with super powers. They were given to me. It started when I was at the ripe age of 7. My parents where scientist for the Redwater Industry of Planetary Science. They studied the planets and solar system. At this time my parents were working on a formula that would let people live on the moon without astronaut suits and give those people extraordinary powers so they wouldn't need to take anything with them. I was playing with my dolls like any 7-year-old girl would while my parents were in the kitchen having a heated argument. My mom was freaking out with my dad trying to calm her down.

"What are we going to do? He is coming for the formula in 30 minutes and he said he will kill her if we don't give it to him! He can't have it! We haven't even tested the formula! Who knows what he could do with it?!?" My mom screamed at my dad. Who was this "he". I decided to go in and ask them.

"Calm down honey he won't do anything to our sweet Lynn." Dad said trying to calm her down. I walked in to see what the all commotion was about and once they saw me they stopped arguing and just stared at me. I wanted to know who "he" was so I just asked being so clueless.

"Mommy, daddy, who is 'he'?"

My mom just broke down crying. I had no clue what was going. I felt so bad for making my mom cry. I ran to her and hugged her legs. She then started crying more. I got scared and started crying too. My dad picked me up and hugged me tight. I hugged him back then he put me on the counter. He stared at me for a second then his eyes brightened and he turned to my mom.

"We could give her the formula and then hide her in the bomb shelter when he comes for it." He spoke fast. My mom nodded her head then turned to me while my dad ran off to get what I assumed was the formula.

"Lynney Bear, you know mommy and daddy love you so much and would only ever do things to protect you right?" my mom asked me. I nodded with a few stray tears running down my cheeks. My mom smiled and wiped away my tears while speaking again, "That's good, now my little moon, promise me that no matter what, you will always do what is right and try to protect others with all your might, no matter what they may have done to you. Please promise me that."

"I promise mommy." I responded confused. She nodded right as my dad walked in the room with a vial filled to the brim with a dark blue almost purple liquid. He handed it to my mom.

"We love you so much Lynney Bear. Please drink this okay. It might taste a little funny but I promise you will be ok." She handed me the vial. I stared at it intently and right before I drank my mom stopped me. "This is going to make you sleepy, when you wake up you will have extraordinary powers. We do not know them all but these powers are amazing. Keep on shining as bright as you can our little moon. Mommy and daddy love you to the moon and back." They hugged me tight and little did I know that was the last time I would ever feel they're embrace. I looked at the vial and then back at them. They nodded so I drank the liquid in the vial. I felt darkness come over me so I gave in without a care in the world.

I woke up about an hour later in the bomb shelter. No one in sight. My head was pounding and I felt different. I looked around me and I saw a table. I walked over to the table and saw a note. I didn't really know how to read all that well but I still tried. I grabbed the note and to my surprise I could actually read all of it with ease. The note said,

"Keep shining bright our little moon. You may never see us in person ever again but if you look in the sky, look to the moon. Those two brightest stars by the moon is us. We love you to the moon and back.

Love,

Mommy and Daddy"

As of right then I knew who ever "he" was, was the person who took my parents away from me. I wanted to get revenge but I had to keep my promise to my mom. So instead of planning revenge, I trained. For years, I trained and trained nonstop. My powers developing and getting stronger. When I was 9, I started going out into the awful streets of Redwater and fought crime bringing people to justice. I have done that for the last 6 years. I never made a name for myself but the people of Redwater did. The named me Lunar Eclipse, and here is where we have left off. Now, you just have to join me for the adventure.
