Chapter Three: Fights
Diana's POV
Luca kept jolting and moving in bed, harsh whispering bothering the nice power nap I was having. I groaned loudly and dug my face in Luca's shoulder trying to stop him from shifting around so much.
"Luca, stop moving." He rubbed my back and mumbled something under his breath.
"What?"
I opened my eyes and saw Monica sliding her foot on the slippery floor, looking down in shame.
"Monica, you have to tell him." My eyebrow raised in pure confusion and Monica walked out of the room without another word.
"What...was that?" I questioned. He rubbed his forehead and slammed the back of his head onto the bed frame. I covered my mouth as he roared in pain.
"OW!"
"Oh my goodness Luca!" My arms wrapped around his head, hands rubbing on the injured area. He started muttering cuss words, waving his hands around in stress. I squished his cheeks and shifted his head to face me. I stared intently in both of his eyes, hoping to get a response.
"Luca. What's wrong my love?" He huffed out a large amount of air and started to cuddle in my arms.
"Diana, I don't know if I can do this anymore. There is too much happening and there is no way I can handle all of this. My brain is whirling around in my head as I'm trying to figure out a way to protect you and now Monica's baby. Also your grou-"
"Hold on, Monica is pregnant?" He glanced at me with darkened eyes.
"Luca that's great!" I gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"What? How? Diana this pup is going to affect everything that is going on right now! I'm surprised we were able to handle Mia when we could have. A baby is not what we need right now." I completely disagreed. Another baby is exactly what we need right now, there is no way we can get rid of it now anyway.
"Maybe this baby is exactly what we need. Plus what if I was pregnant right now, how would you react?" He rolled his eyes.
"Darling that's different." I scoffed and slightly pushed him off of me.
"How is that any different? There would have been a baby here, either way, your child or not there is no way we can change her mind. I'm sure she wants to keep it." He got up and off the bed.
"I'm gonna go take Jay on a run."
I kept quiet and sat with my arms and legs folded in irritation. Luca slammed the door behind him causing me to flinch. Huh, our first fight. Thank me later Monica.
I walked out of our room and I heard loud yelling and things crashing downstairs. My feet quickly shuffled and I made my way to the living room.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU BLAKE! I REALLY THOUGHT YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY ABOUT THIS!" Monica screamed at Blake who pulled on the ends of his brown hair.
"Monica! We can't have a pup right now!"
She folded her arms and I made my way to her. She noticed me and gave me a quick embrace, sniffling her tears away.
"Monica, babe seriously consider this? Are we really ready to be parents? Are you ready to be a mom?" She was soon out of my arms and wiped her pale face.
"I-I can't be here right now. I'm going to go run." Before she was able to leave I gripped on her hand making her look back at me.
"Please find Jay while you are out there. Please be safe. Don't worry, I'm here for you okay? We are going to figure this out." Monica gave me a sad smile and replied,
"Thank you." I nodded and let her go.
Once she left, Blake and I were alone in the living room. I went up to him and licked my lips staring him down. He looked at me and shook his head, confused about everything that was happening. I understood the stress Luca and Blake must be feeling, but the best we could do right now is support, Monica.
"What am I going to do Luna?" Blake flopped onto the couch and laid his head on the cushions.
James and Lena made their way to where we were, bags in their hands and car keys dangling from James's mouth.
"Hello, Diana! Just packing everything for tomorrow! James rented a freaking RV!" I hummed and gave a small smile. Glad to see someone having a good time. She gave him a feathered kiss on his chin as they made their way to the front of the Packhouse. As soon as they left, I sat next to Blake and rubbed his bicep for comfort.
"Blake, If I was you, I would be so ecstatic about a pup."
"Luna, I am super happy about it! But, I'm just not ready to be a father just yet. I'm like really scared Luna." Blake whispered the last part.
"I'm scared too. I understand that right now isn't a good time for a pup, but there is no going back now, and I'm sure you don't want her to get an abortion." His eyes widened and he stared at me.
"No way! I just don't know what to do."
"Blake, we will be here for you, don't you worry." The front door opened and in walked Luca with Monica trailing behind him. He shut the creaking door behind him and sat on the couch on the opposite side of me. Okay, Luca, you want to play that game.
"I'm sorry Monica!" Blake blurted out. I bit my bottom lip, grinning like a goof. Monica sat next to me and ignored him. Of course, she would never let him get away that easy.
"Are you sure you want to do this Monica? I am going to be putting you on house arrest if you choose to keep the pup." Luca grumbled. She breathed in heavily and gave a short nod.
"I really do Alpha." He sniffed harshly and cleared his throat.
"Then it's done. Monica, you are not to leave this house unless told otherwise." A small gleam in her eyes showed she would risk anything for her new child. Blake stood up causing the couch to become lighter. He hovered over Monica and held his hand out for her.
She grabbed it with hesitation and squealed as he pulled her into his chest.
"I'm sorry for the way I reacted. I was just scared and I shouldn't have been. From now on, I promise to keep you AND our child out of any harm. We can do this and I know that we will be together through everything."
I put both hands on my heart and awed a little in my head.
"Blake, we need to get ready for the peace treaty. Be ready by 7 pm, the plan is to leave after dinner." Luca spoke. I closed my eyes and sighed with worry. Luca may have been mad at me, but that didn't mean I wouldn't be afraid for him and his well being.
"Be careful Luca. I love you." I told him. He tightened his jaw and tapped his foot, trying to keep to himself. I left without another word, making my way to check up on how the group was doing.
I first went to check on Aiden and Daniel, who shared a room together. My hand swiftly knocked on the door and a little while after a muffled voice spoke.
"Come in!" I opened the door slowly, watching Daniel reading the Bible as Aiden laid on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
"Hey boys, you seem bored." I joked. Daniel put his bookmark in and placed the Bible in the backpack next to him.
"Just resting a bit before leaving." Said Aiden.
I clicked my tongue. I tried not to think about it, about them leaving me. Luca was still going to be here, but it was going to be different. Quiet.
"I'm going to miss you guys."
"Awe, Diana...don't worry. We will visit soon, we won't forget you. Plus we always know if we need anything the Woods pack is always going to be here for us." Daniel's words made me think about everything.
They were right. They didn't live too far from us. Only a state away.
"Well, I'm going to check on everyone else. You guys hungry or anything? I can ask Luca to order takeout or something."
"Nope, we're good thank you."
"Alright."
*****
"Luca, be careful. I want you to come back in one piece you hear me?" I held his hands and gave him a passionate kiss.
"I know you're still mad at me, but I love you and I need you to come back," I added. He sighed hugging me tightly and rested a hand on the back of my head while the other rubbed my waist in a smooth motion.
"I'm not mad at you. I will come back to you. I always do." I smiled and gave him another kiss before he left with Blake.
"I really hope this works," I whispered under my breath. Hayden rubbed my back and dragged me away from the front door.
"Why don't you help Jade and me by taking care of Mia for a moment? We haven't had a chance to pack anything yet." Hayden kept trying to take my mind off of Luca, off of all of the stress and I really appreciated him for that.
"Sure. Where is the little one?" Hayden led the way into the kitchen where Jade sat in the wooden chair, patiently waiting for me. Mia was soon in my arms and I rubbed my nose against her. She shifted around in my arms and started to whimper.
"Oh no, don't cry. Why are you crying?" I cooed as we all walked out of the kitchen. Jade gave me a look of thanks and went to go start packing.
"Well, it's just us now Mia." I paced around the house, preventing her from cry. After every couple of minutes, I would bounce her a few times to keep her occupied. There's not much you can do with a three-month-old baby.
"Mind if I join you?" I flinched at the sudden voice. I turned around and saw Monica waving at me slowly.
"Of course. You could start getting used to a little baby around here." She patted her stomach a little and shrugged her shoulders.
"Here, put your arms out." Mia was now in Monica's arms, the pad of my pointer finger brushed her cheek. Mia was so innocent and so pure, she was what we needed and now tonight was her last night with us.
A loud knock was heard on our door, both of our heads turning to the sudden noise. I pointed my thumb behind myself and walked backward.
"I'll go get it. Keep an eye on her?" Monica nodded and nudged her head to the door.
I opened the door and my mouth gaped in awe, I immediately tried slamming the door but he stopped me with his foot.
"What are you doing here?" He smirks sent shivers down my spine and my heart wanted to stop.
"Oh Diana, just wanted to stop by and say hello." I gulped loudly and turned on my mind link.
"Luca please answer me. Theo is here, he is standing right in front of me."
My feet moved away from him, my back hitting the wall. I continued to mind link Luca and soon Monica, warning her.
"S-stay away from me."
Luca finally answered, calming me down a tiny bit.
"Darling, stay as far away from him as possible. I'm on my way."
Theo's hands gripped on my neck and he threw me against the door. Blood rushed down my forehead as I tried to figure out a way to escape. I got up and sprinted out of the Packhouse, making my way deep in the forest.
In a few moments I was out of breath and I hid behind a large tree. I grasped onto my cramping abdomen and searched the whole place for some sort of weapon.
Nothing.
I looked up and began climbing the tree, making my way up to the highest branch.
"Diana, I know you are here. I can smell you."
My breathing stopped and I covered my mouth to prevent any noise from leaving my body. I squeezed my eyes shut trying to think of a plan.
