Chapter 2

Few weeks, just few weeks before one of probably the happiest, my day of my life, my birthday. I was  so excited as one thing and only one thing crossed my mind as I laid on the bed starring longingly at the ceiling. Car..car..car..car. I was going to have my own car. Dad made me attend driving lessons just to get accustomed to it. I was starting to drift off to sleep when a gust of wind blew into my room, opening my well shut windows which almost scared the life out of me, it was easy for me to see, my room was looking bright because I don't sleep with the lights off, its not that I can't, I just wasn't fond of it. I tiptoed towards my window to shut it completely when I saw something out of the ordinary from like a mile away. What the heck was that?, as I looked closely, I caught something that shone brightly in the midst of the darkness and it looked like an eye, a golden brown eye colour, who the heck has a golden brown eye colour?. I moved back so fast in fright as I shut both my window and curtain when I realized what it was. My breathing grew erratic, I can't believe it, I can't believe that I just set my eyes on a WOLF. I'm really freaking out, I walked shakily to my bed and hid under the covers.

"It was just an illusion, just an illusion"

I tried telling myself that in order to sleep it off. I hate dogs so much, much less a wolf. I hoped to never have an encounter with one. Mum and dad always told me frightening stories about how brutal they can be for reasons I know nothing about. I know I was old enough to grow up and face my fears but in this situation I'd rather not get involved in it. I tried to forget it as I drifted off to sleep.

Casper's POV

How dare he!, how dare that freaking monster!!!.

"Asher!...Asher!!!" I screamed angrily calling for my beta.

He knocked respectfully before coming in.

"You called for me alpha"

"And you should have been here earlier"

"My mistake alpha, is there anything I can do for you?"

"I've just come back from the meeting..." I hesitated a bit before continuing.

"He took over another pack, that bastard took over another freaking pack!!!"

I looked at Asher and he was cool, calm and collected as always, as if the news didn't affect him in any way but I know it does. He's always been one to coordinate himself and rely on his instincts rather than anger.

"He completely destroyed the cruel howlers, everything was destroyed from the trees to the pack house"

I paraded around my office, things were definitely getting worse.

"Well, this is really surprising"

"You sure as hell don't show it"

"We need to think if a plan, something that can keep the werewolves going"

"I can definitely think of one"

"I bet it wouldn't be wise"

I glared at him as he moved slightly and looked apologetic.

"I'll just have to kill every last one of those blood suckers"

"And get yourself killed in the process, what a wise choice"

If anyone else had spoken to me in such a manner, their heads would have been absent from their body by now, but Asher has always been my best friend since we were little and he was my beta for a reason, not only to support me but to keep me in check.

"Not in the mood for your sarcasms right now"

"How about you calm down for a bit"

"How can I be calm, heck!, how can you be calm after hearing that?"

"Anger won't solve anything right now. You need to be calm, remember that alpha Gideon had a Luna and he was still easily defeated. You haven't found one yet so you'll just be putting yourself at risk"

The more Asher reminded me of Gideon having a Luna, the more annoyed I became. I toppled my desk over which sent things flying while asher watched with his hands crossed behind his back in a calm way which pissed me off more. Those blood suckers are never gonna get away with this, just thinking of how they ripped Gideon's head off and how they sent his pack members running with fright got me fueled up with anger.

"They're definitely getting stronger"

"I don't need you to tell me that"

sometimes I wondered if asher was even trying to cool me down or get me riled up but whatever he was doing was definitely working as I found myself feeling more relaxed.

"Are you calm now?"

"Whatever"

"Alright, I'll go and have a little chat with Gavin about increasing the work out sessions, in the mean time, what you need right now is to go out and try to clear your head because that's the only way you'll be able to come up with a perfect plan."

"Just get out of here"

I felt him smirk as he walked out of my office. He was right, I do need to clear my head. As I walked out of my office, I found him standing there with a smirk knowing fully well that I was going to heed to his advice before he walked away again, talk about weird.

Running through the forest helps me to keep calm and think about the next step. I ran as fast as I could feeling the wind in my fur and enjoying the cool breeze and fresh scent. This scent was rather captivating, a flowery scent filled my nostrils as I kept on running in no particular direction, I realized that the closer I got to absolutely no where, the more I could inhale the beautiful scent. I needed to see what was bringing that. I ran so fast until I got to the stop zone and all I could see was a girl running hastily into a school gate then I realized why my wolf took me to this particular area, I had found my mate.

I found her, I finally found her but I couldn't see her just because I couldn't go further, I had to control my wolf all day as I paraded through the forest all day hoping to catch that scent once again but as I got word that I was needed in the pack house I had to leave. It dawned on me that it was dark which made me wonder why I still hadn't seen her. I ran through the forest again attempting to go home but as I got closer, I caught the flowering scent again and as I looked up, I found the most beautiful thing I had ever seeing staring directly at me. She was looking at me, the question of how it was possible never came to mind as I got so lost in her beauty. She shone ever so brightly in the dark night, I could stay here forever staring into her eyes but that seemed impossible when she suddenly shut her window leaving me all to myself. I stayed there for a while as one word stuck to my mind.

MINE!...
