I backed away from his touch, cocked my eyebrow and said,
“Really? No need to be that cheesy”

His face changed from a calm serene one to a mischevious one, this guy was seriously one weird guy.

His smirk came out and he flopped down onto the sand. Laying on the sand, he propped his hands up to act as a cushion for his head.

His whole expression morphed into one of relaxation, I truly wonder how he was upbeat one second and so relaxed another. I mean, he is one weird fellow. He is the damned sun after all, speaking of which.

One of his eyes popped open and a lazy grin crept up to his face,

“So what brought you here?” He asked.

I compensated the answer in my head. I still didn’t know this guy a lot, and it would be odd explaining about my back story and whatnot. So what exactly should I tell him? Make up a lie? I can’t tell him the truth..

“Were you drawn here? Maybe because of my warmth, and good looks. Or maybe it’s the buff body I have” He bragged.

I snorted, this guy was seriously so full of himself. I’ve never really met someone like him in the entire kingdom.

He raised one of his eyebrows, “Well? Were you like an abandoned amazon girl? Or maybe a cave dweller? Or a lost Princess-"

He kept droning on and on but I flinched for a second, he actually nailed one of those answers.

I gazed off for a moment, I thought about my father and the Kingdom I have fled.

Were they okay? Will they fair with out me? Well of course, I am a meer princess.

How was dad doing?

He snapped his fingers in front of me, “Hello? You there? In a daze or something?”

I shook out of my daze, perplexed.
“How did you know? I blurted

“You kinda do this thing, where you scrunch your eyebrows and your nose twitches and you have this look where you just glare to the ground” He chuckled

I shook my head, “You noticed huh?”

I stared at him, looking at him relaxing and looking into the sky, where the stars had started to some out. Looking as beautiful as diamonds, glimmering and shinning in the night sky. Yet there was no moon near them, odd.

“Yeah, it’s cute” He shrugged.

I looked to the side, my face flushing red with my face being framed by my hair. I saw in the corner of my eyes that he looked my way and chuckled. He sat up, crossed legged and looked my way, “So which one is it?” He asked.

“Not really that impressive, just a normal girl living a normal life y’know?” I lied. I was hoping he wouldn’t catch up with my little white lie.
He stayed silent yet his gaze shifted to my wings. I gulped, this guy is more observant than I thought.

And I just realised, I answered completely wrong. I wanted to whack myself from being distracted, it was something I was taught back in the Kingdom.

Never get distracted.

That was when I realized, I hadn't even thought of the Kingdom since I got here.

And it was all because of him.
