( 14 years ago, like when they were six)

Jesse Pov:

"Mommy, can I play in the forest?" I ask

"Sure sweetie, but don't go too far." She answered

I decided to walk out into the forest because I like it and I live near one too. My brother Colin is always protective of me probably because he's older than me by 4 minutes, but I decided I want to walk alone this time. I kept walking deeper into the woods finding a lot of things, I saw animals, some pretty flowers, a lot of things that looked pretty but I then saw a mud puddle. Sometimes I like to play in mud puddles 'cuz their fun and mommy and daddy don't mind if I get dirt all over me once and a while, I jumped in messing up my green overall dress and my face with the mud. I love mud. I got out of the mud puddle and continued walking until I heard crying and voices.

"Leave me alone!" Said the voice.

I followed it and I saw a boy with yellow hair and blue eyes being bullied by older kids.

"HA HA, Crybaby crybaby!" One of the bullies teased.

That meanie, I ran over to them and tried pushing him, he turned around and saw me.

"What do you want, get out of here you brat." He said as he pushed me down.

I started to cry and walked away but not because I'm afraid.

"Good, how about you go cry to your mommy you baby."

I got a stick and I ran back to the group of kids and started hitting them has hard as I can. Daddy is teaching Colin and I how to be fighters and to know that you have to brave no matter what. After a while the boys fell to the ground.

"Now listen up, if you ever hurt me or anyone you'll be sorry."

They all nodded.

"Good, now get out of here and leave this boy alone you brats!" I said has I pointed the stick somewhere, they all ran away, I dropped the stick and walked over to the boy.

"Are you okay?" I ask as I put my hand out so I can help him up.

"I'm okay, thank you for doing that, no one has ever done that for me." He said has he took my hand and got up, "Why did you do that, does bullies would have hurt you."

"My daddy taught my brother and I how to be brave and fight."

" *Sniff* Wow, my dad never taught my brother and I that." He said, I notice that he was bleeding a bit on his cheek.

"You're bleeding, let me help." I said as I took the napkin from my pocket and help clean it

"Ow, that hurts." He said as tears started to form.

"Sorry, I've done this before to someone so don't worry." I comfort him.

"Good, my names Lukas, yours?"

"I'm Jesse, my real name is Jessica but I like Jesse."

"Nice to meet you."

"You too"

After a while I was done and it stopped bleeding.

"Thank you, again."

"I forgot one thing, something that my parents do when me or my brother get a cut."

"What?" He asked, I kissed his cheek.

"You have to kiss it better."

"Thanks, I have to go but I would like to talk to you again."

"Sure, do you know the park that's near here?"

"Yes."

"I'll tell my mommy if I can meet you there and you tell your mommy the same thing."

"Okay, bye Jesse."

"Bye Lukas." I said as I walked off back home.

--YEARS LATER--

It's been 7 years since I became friends with Lukas, we hung out at times and it was fun, I remember the day I saved his butt from does bullies long ago. He and I made some friends along the way, we made different friends but we didn't mind, he asked me if I wanted to join his team of friends but I told him I should ask my friends before I make a decision. I asked them and some of them agreed, except for Axel and Chara, my brother and Olivia said I should and I did, so now I'm in the ocelots but I still hang out with my friends. Maya is a nice girl to have as your friend, Gill is funny and nice, and Aiden, well, he's a bit of a flirt but I learn to accept that.

"Hey Jesse, I'm going to hang out with Gill, I'll be right back." Said Lukas.

"Alright, see you guys later." I said as he left.

I decided to go for a walk after that because sometimes I don't feel okay being here since Lukas and Gill are hanging out, Maya is out with her parents, and Aiden is somewhere near town.

I got my stuff and started to walk around town, it was nice you know, the sky was clear and blue, the grass is green, it's not a busy street, perfect. Since my other friends are busy too, I thought maybe I should just adventure out on my own, I continued but it wasn't until I was pinned to a wall. I thought it was someone who I didn't know and was trying to hurt me but it turns out it was Aiden!

"Aiden! What are you doing?!"

"Hey Jesse, you're looking cute today, but of course you always are."

"Aiden, let me go."

"Come on Jess, Lukas isn't here, Gill or Maya isn't here, and your friends aren't here to disturb us."

I swear, when I said Aiden was a flirt I meant he's a flirt to me ever since we met and he always tries to make me his girlfriend, sorry dude but no.

"Aiden, leave me alone, I'm not afraid to beat you up, and don't call me Jess." I threatened, if I was able to beat someone older than me, I can beat up this boy.

"I like it when you threaten me, it's so cute." He said as he lift my chin and started to lean in.

I closed my eyes and turned away and was ready for it but it never came.

I saw Aiden on the floor and my best friend Chara in front of me.

"Chara?!"

"Yo, I was going to check if you wanted to hang out, I brought Reuben along since he missed you but when I was walking I saw Aiden had pinned you over here."

"Thanks, I better explain this to Lukas so he knows what's going on."

--TIME SKIP--

When Lukas got back with I said I wanted to talk to him about earlier, I explained what happened and he said

"What, are you serious, I know Aiden's a huge flirt but are you sure?"

"Lukas, trust me, he did."

It was silent, he had a confused face like he's trying to process what I'm saying.

"I'll call Aiden up here, I know when he's lying, if he's lying I'm telling him to back off okay, I trust you on this since you and I have been together since we were kids." He explained, I blushed.

"Good, thanks for this."

"No problem. Hey Aiden, can you come up here for a minute!" He yelled for Aiden to come up here.

Aiden arrived and said

"Sure, what is it?"

"Jess has told me that you pinned her to the wall and tried to kiss her, is it true." He asked looking him straight in the eyes.

"No, of course not, why would I do that." He lied.

"Aiden, back off, I'm warning you, do another stunt like that and you'll see."

Aiden eyes widen at what happened, he should know that Aiden knows a lier when he sees one, he walked out of the room and slammed the door.

"He'll get over it, he should learn his lesson after this, don't worry."

--TIME SKIP--

It's been a few days since the incident and Aiden said he learned his lesson but I feel like something is wrong. We were walking in town so we could get something to eat, I decided to be behind because I just like to see the scenery, I've done that ever since I was like a baby to it makes sense you know.

"Hey Jesse, I'm sorry for what I did a few days ago and I want to apologize." Said Aiden, I don't know if he's lying or telling the truth.

"Apology accepted." I replied, we continued walking until we made it, I told them I was going to the bathroom and I left, after that, when I came outside I saw the others teasing my friends.

I got closer and I heard what they were saying.

"You all were made for each other, you're just a shadow behind your sister, you're a nerd with pigtails, you're a big weirdo whose dumb, and you're just a shorty who needs her friends to help her reach high things and always hang out with that pig, you're all just a bunch of freaks." Teased Aiden.

"My friends and I are not freaks you big jerks!" Said Chara

"Are you sure tiny."

"When I'm done we'll see whose tiny." She said as she was about to tackle him, luckily Axel got her in time.

"Losers." Said Gill

"Yeah, order of the losers."

"Nice one Maya."

"HEY, leave my friends alone, they didn't do anything."

"Because of your little friend here she got me in trouble Jesse, so just stay out of it."

I walked back into the restaurant and saw Lukas getting us the food, I walked over to him and said

"Lukas, The others are bullying my friends, you have to do something."

"Jesse, look, I'm sure that their just joking, we can talk to them and tell them what's going on."

"No, Lukas, their really bullying my friends and I don't want that, I'm sorry but I don't want to be a part of a team who bullies friends." I said before running out, leaving Lukas shocked. "HEY, leave them alone, they are my friends, don't do that to them."

"Jesse, I told you to stay out of it."

"No, I quit the team, they are now my team, so if you guys are going to tease them, you have to deal with me.

"Way to go dude!" Said Axel.

"Pfft, whatever, come on guys." Aiden said as they left.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you guys."

"Don't worry, they started this a few days ago after the incident so they didn't do it to us when you joined." Said Chara.

"Well, looks like Jesse is part of this team now." Said Olivia.

"Yeah, come on, let's go get something to eat where the ocelots aren't here." Said Colin.

Sorry Lukas, I had to.

--FEW YEARS LATER TO THE EVENTS OF THE WITHERSTORM--

I was walking in Endercon to look for a beard guy because he scammed Petra in a deal, so now we're tracking him down. It's been a while
since I left the Ocelots, I did it because they were bullying my friends, I know I had to leave Lukas who was my childhood friend but, things come and go.

Petra told me that I should talk to Lukas, just in case but I told her that he's been my childhood friend ever since, she has this weird habit of thinking of us as a couple and it's weird for me. She told me I should at least talk to him, I continued to walk until I saw Lukas, I guess I should talk to him, he never actually teased us so, I walked over to him and said

"Sup."

"Sup."

"Nothing, sup with you."

"Nothing, sup with you."

"I just said, nothing."

He blushed at his mistake.

"Hey, great job on the build, I mean, I thought our build was cool but fireworks."

"Your beacon wasn't too shabby."

"You don't have to do that, you won fair and square."

"Hey, by any chance did you see a guy with a beard roaming around?"

"No, why?"

"Hey kinda scammed Petra out of a diamond earlier."

"Woah, everyone knows not to mess with Petra, not if you know what's good for you, I'll keep an eye out."

"Thanks, I appreciate it."

"So, um... we cool."

"Yeah, we're cool."

"Cool, cool."

"Cool beans."

"Cool-o-rama."

"HA, see ya around Lukas." I said as I walked away but it wasn't until Lukas grabbed my wrist and said

"Wait, Jesse, I need to tell you something."

"What is it?"

"I'm sorry for what happened in the past, if I was there to make sure they weren't teasing your friends, you probably won't have left, I'm so sorry, I miss you, I miss seeing you all the time, I know you have a team but I was wondering if you wanted to be friends again and if we can hang out together after all of this." He explained.

"Of course Lukas, I miss you too, I want my childhood friend back."

"Thank you so much, I'll see you around Jess."

"Yeah, see you around." I was about to walk away until he grabbed my wrist again.

"Oh, and I forgot." He said as he kissed me on the cheek, "You said that whenever you were hurt your mother you kiss the pain better, so that's what I did."

I was blushing so hard by that time.

"You remember."

"Of course I remember, you saved me that day."
