Chapter 21

"What?" Sherlyn asked sleepily.

"Come out." Ardeth ordered.

"Are you mad? It's two in the morning." Sherlyn whispered feeling drowsy.

"I know, come out I am waiting infront of your home." Ardeth said making Sherlyn jump out of the bed turning on the lights, and run to the window.

"Are you for real?" Sherlyn asked looking at Ardeth standing by her window.

"Come out, Sherlyn. Now I know your room too, I can climb, and drag you out." Ardeth said looking at Sherlyn,"Don't make me do that, come out princess."

"Argh... You are such a stubborn, annoying person." Sherlyn huffed as she grabbed her slippers, and coat as she tip-toed outside.

"Where are we going?" Sherlyn whispered as Ardeth revved his car.

"We are going on a ride and you can talk normally no one's gonna hear you, except me." Ardeth said as he drove his car.

"Don't you sleep at nights?" Sherlyn asked irritated.

"I do, and I was sleeping, but Nick and Collin were being loud, you know what I mean." Ardeth winked making Sherlyn look away as her cheeks heated up.

"So, you thought you could disturb my sleep?"

"I was getting bored."

"You spoiled my sleep." Sherlyn accused as Ardeth brought the car to a halt.

"Is there anything I can do to compensate?"

"You can take me home now." Sherlyn shrugged.

"Nope." Ardeth shook his head.

"You are taking me home before four, my father wakes up early in the morning."

"Sure, I will." Ardeth nodded.

"I don't believe you, I am setting an alarm." Sherlyn said as she set the alarm in her phone.

"Have some trust in me." Ardeth laughed earning a glare from Sherlyn, "Fine, come let's go now." He said getting down the car.

"Where are you going?" Sherlyn asked as she got down the car and ran behind Ardeth.

"To the beach, come on..." Ardeth turned around to answer and then began to run towards the ocean.

"Ardeth..." Sherlyn gasped as he stopped near the shore.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" Ardeth asked as they looked at the waves, crashing onto the shore.

"Yes." Sherlyn said looking at the ocean.

"Great then, come on." Ardeth said and before Sherlyn could register his words he dragged her into the water, making her squeal.

"I am freezing..." Sherlyn stuttered as they ran towards Ardeth's car, as it started raining.

"But you enjoyed it." Ardeth grinned turning on the heater. "Because I did."

"You got my clothes wet." Sherlyn snorted as she waved her hands to drain the water from her clothes.

"My hands are cold." Sherlyn complained.

"Let me hold them." Ardeth said as he held her hands between his hands and brought them to his lips.

Sherlyn watched Ardeth kiss her hands, his lips warm on her cold hands, as he looked at her face.

Sherlyn bent to kiss him, and his lips met her halfway into a heated kiss.

"Sherlyn..." Ardeth groaned as she climbed on to his lap, and began to kiss him down his neck, grinding him.

Ardeth placed his hands on the sides of Sherlyn's waist, as she ran her hands over his upper bare body, kissing and biting him.

"Enough." Ardeth said stopping Sherlyn holding her hands, "My turn."

"Ouch!" Sherlyn groaned in pain.

"Careful there." Ardeth said as he helped Sherlyn climb the wall that led to her room.

"I feel like to kill you." Sherlyn hissed,"This is because of you, you got me late."

"You can still go to room from your front door."

"And what will I say to my father, when he catches me sneaking into the house at four in the morning?"

"Tell him the truth." Ardeth smiled.

"And get grounded for life." Sherlyn asked, "If you are getting bored of me say it on my face, no need to hatch plans." She laughed.

Ardeth kept his silence without answering her question.

"You can go now, this is my room." Sherlyn whispered after she jumped into her room's balcony.

Ardeth nodded and jogged away.

Sherlyn watched him drive away, and let out a sigh of relief falling on her bed. Few months ago she was a simple girl, who led a plain life, but ever since she met Ardeth, her life took a total turn, never in her life did she think that she would sneak out of her house, climb a wall, or lie to her father, but now she's becoming a paradigm of a bad girl. Did she regret it? No.

She loved spending time with Ardeth, she loved his warm kisses, tight hugs, his silence, and even the way he annoys her and drives her crazy. Love? Yes, she was falling in love with Ardeth Sky, or did she fall in love already?

"Mr.Roy and Ms.Priestly." Professor Luciana shouted making Nick and Sherlyn wake up from their sleep, startled. "Out of my class, now."

"Sorry Professor." Nick and Sherlyn mumbled an apology as they walked out.

"What do we do now?" Sherlyn asked as they walked in the corridors.

"Find a peaceful place, and resume our sleep." Nick said stifling a yawn.

"Sounds great, except for the fact that our college doesn't have any peaceful places." Sherlyn rolled her eyes.

"My Sweet Sherry Tomato, what if the college doesn't have a peaceful place, I have my car, I am going to hit the seat. Wanna join?" Nick asked gesturing towards the parking lot.

"No, thanks." Sherlyn laughed.

"The offer is valid for you, always." Nick said and walked towards the parking lot, leaving Sherlyn.

"Thank you." Sherlyn said collecting the takeaway coffee cup from the cafeteria.

"Hi." A voice startled Sherlyn.

"Hi?" Sherlyn asked looking at the blonde haired guy infront of her.

"Chris Carter." The boy introduced himself, "I am in the literature class with you."

"Oh, sorry. I didn't..." Sherlyn trailed off embarassed not recognising her classmate.

"It's okay." Chris let out a laugh, "I noticed that you don't get along with many other classmates as well."

Sherlyn raised her brow as she noticed Chris walking with her.

"I thought I can get to know you."

"Did Professor Luciana kick you out too?" Sherlyn questioned.

"No... I came out of the class myself, so I could speak with you." Chris said with a boyish smile, making Sherlyn shake her head.

"So, what now?" Sherlyn asked as her feet guided her to the Soccer court.

"Umm... I think we can get to know eachother, then if things go fine, we could catch a movie some day." Chris rubbed his neck.

"What do you want to know about me?" Sherlyn asked amused.

Even though she knew she had feelings for Ardeth, which he may not reciprocate, she didn't want to disappoint Chris, who took an effort and approached her.

"Let's start with getting to know your middle name?"

"Hey, don't laugh." Chris blushed.

"Macbeth, your middle name is Macbeth?" Sherlyn asked amused.

"My mother is a fan of Shakespeare, she thought of naming me Shakespeare Macbeth, but then my Grandmama asked my mother to decide whether she want 'To be or not to be' her daughter. My mother gave up, and named me Chris Macbeth Carter." Chris explained making Sherlyn laugh as they took their seats in the Soccer stands.

"That's a great story." Sherlyn said smiled.

"Did I tell you, I have a younger brother whose name is Hamlet?"

"Seriously?"

"Yes, Liam Hamlet Carter, he is in high school now." Chris informed.

"I really love Shakespeare writing, one of the reasons why I chose literature." Sherlyn said to Chris.

"My mother used to read those books to me and my brother, so when time came I chose literature, since I am familiar with the subject.  We have a collection of books in my home, I could show you sometime."

"I would love to." Sherlyn smiled looking at Chris, who smiled looking at her.

From the corner of her eye, Sherlyn saw a soccer ball flying in their direction, but before she could react, the ball hit Chris on his head, making him fall to the ground, groaning in pain.

Sherlyn saw Ardeth standing in the field with a satisfied smirk on his face, with his fisted hands resting on either sides of his waist, anger radiating his features.

"Chris, are you okay?" Sherlyn asked squatting beside Chris.

"I am fine, just a bit dizzy." Chris said shaking his head.

"Drink this water." Sherlyn said unscrewing the water bottle and giving it to Chris.

"You have a cut on your forehead." Sherlyn said gesturing at her own forehead.

"It's nothing." Chris assured Sherlyn, taking the kerchief Sherlyn gave him.

"Sherlyn." Ardeth called standing infront of Sherlyn and Chris. "Come."

"No." Sherlyn said getting furious on Ardeth for hurting Chris.

"Don't test my patience." Ardeth said in a cold tone.

"You need a first aid." Sherlyn said to Chris ignoring Ardeth.

"It's okay, Sherry, I am fine." Chris smiled warmly, making Ardeth go mad in fury.

"Sherlyn, come with me now." Ardeth said as he dragged Sherlyn with him, ignoring her efforts to free herself.

"Leave me you moron." Sherlyn said as she wiggled out of his hold.

"What the hell are you doing with that Carter?" Ardeth shouted.

"Why did you hurt him?" Sherlyn asked matching his tone.

"Answer me first." Ardeth said holding Sherlyn by her elbow, "He is your new boy toy now?"

Sherlyn slapped Ardeth across his face.

"Not a word." Sherlyn shouted, "You thought so lowly of me?" She said wiping an angry tear that rolled down her eye.

Ardeth took a deep breath rubbing his face with his palms.

"Sherlyn, I..."

"What's happening here?" Nick asked coming out of his car. "Sherry, why are you crying?"  He asked running to Sherlyn's side.

"Take me home,Nick." Sherlyn rasped as she walked to his car.

"Sherlyn." Ardeth called trying to grab her hand.

"Don't." Sherlyn pulled away her hand, "Don't dare to touch me." She said and climbed inside Nick's car.

Nick patted Ardeth's shoulder and slipped into the driver seat.

Ardeth kicked his car in anger as he watched Nick's car disappear.
