"listen up, today just a practice match but its also our first ever game this year, both teams have new players and a new game play, lets show them we not as weak as they think" gou said with a grin and the nine main players cheered and the two spare players in the team just smiled as they sat on the bench. "you know you can cheer along with the rest of the team, even if your not playing in a game" miho said with a kind smile to the two boys sitting on the bench with her. "we just started this year and everyone older then us, we dont feel right cheering with them yet" inaho said with a small smile. "we cheer along with them when we feel proud to be with them, when we have skills we can use when they need us but until then we keep practicing and wishing them the best" slain said with a small smile and miss miho just smiled. 

"lets crush this team and show them who school is the best, we cant lose to such a weak and new team" goro yelled and the Samezuka team cheered. "isn't that a little to harsh to say on the team first ever game this year" leo a spare player who just join the team said with worry. "yeah i know we gotta prove our school better but our team got a new team to get use to as well, its both team first game" rogue said with a small smile. "yeah you get use to it, just think in a couple years you both will be cheering that on" nat the club male manger said with a small smile. 

"how didnt most of their players sat on the bench last year" moko the Samezuka first base asked as they look at Iwatobi team. "yeah the only two players from last year are their captain and catcher, the rest was filled with their sempies who left school" yutaro the Samezuka team centre fielder said with a smirk thinking this would be an easy game. "well their team was mostly played by all their sempies for three years but they all left now, so they got no choice but to use those who were on the bench" soma the Samezuka forth base said with a grin. "can we really take their team seriously now, like just look at them" marito the Samezuka third base said with a frown and the others nodded. 

"I feel like they looking down on us becuase our team no longer full of our sempies" miki Iwatobi first base said with a frown. "cant blame them this year will be the first time most of us ever played in games since we all just sat on the bench watching" yama Iwatobi fourth base said with worry. "we just have to show them that we as good as last year team, we all have our skills and practice non stop over the summer" hide Iwatobi centre fielder said with a grin. "he right we all got skills to win and as long as we listen to haru during the games we win, that why he our second base because he can see the whole set and gives us orders on what to do where everyone can see" ken Iwatobi third base said with a smirk and the four smiled.

"so what do you think about their new team, everyone apart from haru and kisumi was on the bench for three years" seijuro said with a small smile. "well we met nagisa and rei outside of school in the public baseball bats house and they seem to have good skills, we just never seen them in a real game before" momo said with a small smile. "I only see four main people to look out for and that captain haru, kisumi, nagisa and rei, the rest will probably pull them back and help us win easier" allchiro said with a grin.

"they bad mouthing us again, I can feel it" rei said with a frown. "they think just becuase everyone apart from me and haru been bench for three years they have an easy win" kisumi hissed. "I cant wait to see their faces when they see makoto in a game and everyone skills" nagisa giggled. 

"um are you ok" rin said with worry as makoto stood alone with a very pale face and shaking hands. "sorry I'm just nervous and not use to all this" makoto said with a weak smile. "dont worry we all nervous in our own way and you get use to how to control it in now time" rin smiled, he wasn't sure why he was still being so nice to the enemy. He didnt agree with acting stuck up like the rest but he also didnt want to help them. "thanks rin, your very kind" makoto smiled a little better and rin smiled back. 

"not like I'm worried but I do want at least a good game with your team again this year" sousuke started to say as he rub his neck. "but what, is it makoto" haru asked with a straight face. "yeah, you sure he game ready, just look at him" sousuke said turning to makoto and rin. "he never been in a game before but just wait until he gets started" haru said proudly. 

"makoto, game now starting go warm up with kisumi" haru yelled making makoto and rin jump a little. "sure, thanks for chatting with me rin, I feel a little calmer now" makoto smiled and ran with haru towards his team mates. "so what do you think about their new pitcher, could he mean trouble" sousuke asked with his arms crossed. "dont ask me I'm just a catcher, shouldn't pitcher sense things about other pitchers" rin sighed and they walked over to their team.

"wow sousuke throws are amazing" makoto said excited after seeing sousuke throw the balls to the batters. "you do know he just got yama and miki out right" nagisa said with a small smile. "well as a catcher, I wouldn't mind catching his pitches, he a rare type of pitcher that for sure" kisumi said with a grin. "rin and sousuke are the main players we gotta be careful of because they work with each other way to well, makoto your neck" haru said as he passed makoto a bat since rei just got to second base are his hit. 

"its just a game, no one gonna die if you fail" makoto sighed as he stood in the batters spot. "hey dont be so tense, its your first game your allowed to mess up" rin said with worry since makoto way too tense for a practice game. "ok mr pitcher since its your first game I'm going to give you an easy pitch and make you less tense otherwise the game not gonna be so fun for the rest of us" sousuke said with worry and makoto turned to haru not sure what to say. "dont pity him, give him one of your best pitches, he might be tenses now but just wait" haru yelled and the team felt a little embarrassed makoto was being pitied. 

"fine if you want to have a horrible experience of his first game" sousuke sighed and got ready to throw his second best pitches that no one ever been able to hit. "even if you miss just run without looking back" rin sighed since he knew if an old player never been able to hit sousuke second best pitch then a newbie wouldn't be able to. "thanks but please dont worry about me" makoto smiled and got ready as Sousuke was now going to throw. 

"you sure it was the best thing to make sousuke throw his second best, only rin can catch that but no one been able to hit it" kisumi said worried since makoto too nice for his own good. "I have faith makoto will hit it or even tap it a little" haru said with a smile. "I hope your right or that could scare makoto forever" nagisa frowned. 

The ball came in quick but slow at the same time, it felt like it was going left, right, up and down all the time. Makoto took a deep breath and closed his eyes as he swung his bat. The only sound heard was a wrack as he hit the ball sending it flying and the dirt being kicked up as he ran. Silence was taken by everyone as he ran past first base, then the shock was gone and Samezuka team yells could be heard to get the ball as makoto reach second base. Iwatobi cheers could be heard as he reached third base and makoto smile was seen as he passed fourth base without being caught.

Cheers was filled as the Iwatobi team hugged on makoto for hitting it so far and getting a run in. Small angry and upset whispers could be heard from the Samezuka team. It was time to swap over and the Iwatobi team got in their spots and the Samezuka pick up their bats. Sousuke and rin was still in shock by the ball being hit when even players from baseball schools couldn't even hit it but a newbie who never been in a game did it with his eyes closed. 

Haru noticed how most of the Samezuka players were all glaring at makoto and probably not saying not things about him. He knew makoto must have felt their glares and heard some of their yells because he was only looking at the ball in his hand not seeing momo standing ready to bat. Haru noticed how kisumi wasn't sure what to say and how he was getting a little angry by some stuff they were saying but haru couldn't say anything since he could hear. He looked to four base and noticed how pale and angry yama was, so they couldn't be saying anything sports like. "makoto" haru yelled making the tall boy jump and look up.

"sorry" makoto smiled and look to kisumi who just smiled. "lets give them a good one" kisumi grinned and makoto smiled. "I wont lose to a newbie, try and not throw like a girl" momo smirked and makoto grinned. "try not to cry like a girl when we win" makoto smirked back and both teams shivered. Makoto eyes was not filled with kindness anymore, its like he a different person. His eyes gave out danger and felt like he could see inside your soul. "strike one" the ref yelled as kisumi caught the ball.

Everyone looked shocked even kisumi who caught it. No one saw the ball leave makoto hands or felt the ball move. It was faster then a bullet and the force made it have no sound. "strike two" the ref yelled again making momo and his team worry since he tried to swing at the ball but had no clue where it was, like it just disappear and reappear on kisumi glove. "strike three your out" the ref yelled shocking everyone and momo left the game.

"makoto, try a normal pitch from no on and dont use your best three at all, only use your number four for batters your think can hit well" kisumi yelled and makoto just nodded with a smile. But not a normal smile it was like he had a mask on.

The game was going well and Iwatobi was winning thanks to makoto. Makoto got another two people out as revenge for getting miki and yama out before. But the team got worried when it was sousuke turn to bat and rin turn after him. Makoto knew he find those two the most hardest to get out or to make them only hit the ball a little distance but he knew it was risky to throw any of his best three pitches. 

"I'm sorry for thinking low about you before but I wont go easy on you" sousuke warned and makoto just nodded. "makoto, number four" kisumi yelled and makoto nodded and threw his pitch. "strike one" the ref yelled as sousuke tried to hit it by missed. "sorry but I wont be going easy either" makoto smirked and sousuke shiver from makoto eyes. "makoto, we need him to hit it" haru yelled and makoto just nodded and three and easier pitch making sousuke hit it and they got sousuke stuck on second base. 

"I guess its up to me for a home run now" rin sighed and got ready to hit. "makoto dont worry about him" haru yelled not bothered about rin and not caring if he strike out. "thanks haru, how kind" rin yelled with anger. "makoto strike him our or give him a fourth, its your choice" kisumi said since haru didnt mind how rin goes. "sorry if I fooled you before the game but I really was nervous" makoto said and threw his pitch. "shit" rin hissed as he barley hit the ball making it just roll as he ran. 

Soon the game ended with Iwatobi winning and Samezuka left without talking. The coach didnt even thank miho and made his team get straight on the bus without saying goodbye or anything.
