Chapter Nine
"You sound like shit, what's wrong?" I had asked over the phone.
Connor said he couldn't come over so I called. Thank god.
"I caught a cold, so I'm staying home," he informed, sniffiling.
"You poor baby, want me to bring you medicine?"
He groaned, "you don't have to. I know things are probably still awkward for you here."
"I don't care, you're sick and I can get medicine. I'll be over soon."
He hummed at that, "you're literally the best."
"I know I am. Love you."
"Love you too Tim."
I hung up and got ready to leave. Though my family stopped me before I left. Elly wasn't there since she was traveling, but my parents and older brother were there. My older brother John by the way.
Plus some staff.
"Where are you going in such a rush?" John asked.
"Connor's sick," I informed. "I'm grabbing some medicine and heading over."
They all looked at me worriedly, "but you'll have to go back to the Grace household, are you sure?"
I shrugged, pulling on my shoes. "I'll be fine. Before me and Connor got close, maybe not, but I'm not into them anymore. I've got Connor, and he loves me, so I'll be fine."
They all looked at me, jaws dropped, and I wondered why until i realized what I said.
"This may be the time to mention Connor and I are boyfriends now. We've been dating for a few months."
"When did that happen?" My mother pressed, brows furrowed heavily.
I scratched at the back of my neck, "around when we started hanging out again? We started dating then, but I love him."
My father sighed, "how are you sure he's not going to hurt you?"
"You can never be sure. But he does seem genuine. And he's still here after I popped his cherry, so it's not like it was just that." I paused again, "ignore what I said, I'll be heading out."
My family looked horrified as I ducked out, face hot as I just admitted I lost my virginity. Such a dumbass!
It didn't matter. In no time flat, I had got medicine and arrived at the grace manor. I was let in once the doorman saw me and arrived at the front door, knocking.
Todd was the one that greeted me,, doing a pretty quick double take when he saw me.
"Tim!"
His exclamation was very loud that a lot of people rushed to the door to see if it was true. I remained unbothered.
"Here to see Connor, can I come in?"
Todd nodded and I walked past him, well aware he and the staff were watching me. I didn't falter, but went straight to Connor's room, closing the door behind me.
Surprisingly, Connor was not the only one in there. His dad, Richard was there too.
And mark.
Both looked at me in surprise.
"Tim?"
"Tim! Thanks for coming, your really didn't have to!"
I ignored the other two and went to Connor, ruffling his hair, "told you I'd bring medicine." I sat on his bed next to him and fished out some medicine, handing it to him.
"A lifesaver, really. You do realize I probably had some here, right?" He reminded as he took the medicine with the water on his nightstand.
"Possibly," I joked. "You were skipping video games, so I had to drop by."
"Tim, what are you doing here?" Mark asked, frustration cling his voice.
I looked over at him, feeling tension in my brows, "visiting Connor? The fuck does it look like to you?"
"La-"
"Fuck you!"
Connor sighed, "I'll be fine. You guys can go eat."
The two looked upset they were being kicked out, but left. With them gone, I giggled and pressed a peck to Connor's lips, "glad you look alright."
"Of course. I just feel like shit. And you shouldn't kiss me, you might get sick."
I snorted, shaking my head. "I haven't been sick in a long time. I think I'm good."
"I'm glad you're here anyway," he said suddenly, smiling brightly.
"Of course!" I squeezed his cheeks, "who could leave such a cutie alone?" Then, a short pause, "my parents may know we're dating now."
"That's cool, hopefully they don't try to murder me."
I groaned, "hopefully fucking not. I'd be sad without you."
Connor smiled sweetly, reaching for my hand. I let him grab it, our fingers intertwined together. "Let's hope they don't kill me then."
We sat in a rather calm silence for a few minutes, but he needed food.
"Want chicken soup?" I asked.
"Chicken noodle soup?"
"Sure, that."
He laughed, smiling brightly, "are you offering to make me some?"
"Yes, so, do you want some?"
"I'd love some."
I grinned boldly, "then I'll be right back, please rest until I do get back."
"I will."
And he closed his eyes as we let go of our hands, and I headed out and towards the kitchen.
And I was intercepted by the three I didn't give a shit about.
"Since when are you and Connor friends again?" Todd asked, his tone somewhat offended.
"Three months? Like a day after the last time I saw you, he actually apologized. Did it in a pretty dumb way, but he owned up to his actions, not like any of you did."
The three didn't even bother responding.
"Now, I offered to make him chicken soup, so I'm going to go do that." I brushed past them again and went to the kitchen.
The staff just watched me curiously as I got ingredients.
"Are you making something for master Connor?" A chef asked curiously.
I nodded, "I offered to make him some soup."
"Very kind of you," they said kindly. "It's good to have you back, even if it's temporary."
Smiling politely at them, I moved to cook. I wasn't cooking extremely long, and was in and out in no time with hot chicken noodle soup.
Connor and I loved eating it as kids, and hopefully he'd like it as an adult. I quickly got back to his room and served him it.
"Thank you darlin," he teased through a sniffle.
"Anything for you baby."
He snorted, "we have to work on the fucking pet names."
"I like sweet cheeks."
He ate and nodded, thinking about what I should call him. "Babe and baby are cute."
"Then you'll be my baby, babe."
"Gross."
The two of us laughed. I laid next to him on his bed as he ate, content in the silence. It was weird how everything came to be, but I was glad I had Connor.
In the past, I was in the mindset that if any of the four liked me, I'd be happy with that, but that's wasn't true anymore.
Sure, the others were attractive, but Connor stole my heart, owned it. And he probably knew it too.
"I can't believe how fast I ate this."
I glanced over and saw that his bowl was scraped clean, laughing, "guess you were hungry."
"Yeah," he agreed. "Now I want to nap. You staying over?"
"I am. Have to tell my family first, but I wouldn't leave your side for anything."
And after a short text, I borrowed some of his clothes and the two of us fell asleep cuddled into each other.
