Sage's POV

I was told I have a meeting today. I get to find out where my next position is located. "Good afternoon, Dr.Sage. How are you?" Dr.White says. "I'm good, how about you?" I say. "I am doing alright. Now after multiple meetings and hard decisions we have decided to send you to Frosinone, Italy for the rest of the summer. Your flight will depart on Friday afternoon." Dr. White says. 

My heart drops and I feel a flutter in my stomach. Did he just say what I think he said? Maybe I'll finally get to see Matteo again. No, do not get in your head Sage. That won't happen; besides I'll be so caught up at the hospital that I won't have much free time.

 "Alright sounds good Sir, I'll start packing when I get home" I say. I get in my jeep and start to head home. I'm freaking out. I mean what if I do see him after all this time or what if I see him and he's with another girl. How do I tell him I'm so deeply in love with him? After two years he'll think I'm crazy or something. 

I mean the chances of seeing him is like one in a million. I need to stop freaking out. I get home and pack three suitcases worth of clothing and a carry on with all my makeup and skin care. I couldn't sleep all night. I was constantly rolling over and over. I couldn't get Matteo out of my head.
