ANASTELLA & EUNWOO

"Ana!" Yelled a voice from across the hall.

Ana turned around and saw him waving at her. He sprinted towards her, then bumped her shoulder as the two united.

"You're out of class?"

He nodded, "where are you going?"

"To campus center," Ana replied, walking away from the guy as he followed behind.

Cha Eunwoo speeds up his pace, walking alongside his friend Anastella. They both catch up on their daily updates, what goes on in their classes, homework, and other things. They joke and tease, creating laughter. Ana clicks her tongue, annoyed at her friend who always teases her for being so short standing next to him.

Ana and Eunwoo had been friends since forever. Eunwoo and Ana's mother had always been close, bringing two of their kids to play together often. They've been inseparable since then. Anastella had always been the first and smartest in their classes, while Eunwoo would always come second. Their bond over time has not changed a bit-- they were still just two little kids who'd meet and joke with each other often. Nothing more... and nothing less.

But, it was different for Ana.

She never realized when it happened,

but it was different for her.

Eunwoo sighed, "I don't feel like going to class." his shoulders dropped.

Ana rolled her eyes at him, scolding him already with her looks.

"You better not skip." she warned. "Just because you're smart?"

"Why? We can go get food together and just chill, do homework or something--!"

His mouth zipped close as soon as his eyes met the girl standing across from him. Ana had also stopped her tracks of walking, freezing in her position as the pair of friends is faced with Eunwoo's ex girlfriend, Mina.

She stood there, looking directly at Eunwoo's face with a neutral look, as if none of what they had and not even his presence bothered her. She shifted her gaze to Ana, then tilted her head, back to Eunwoo.

Ana glared at Mina, feeling like she could scratch her pretty face within a count of a second. Eunwoo's bright eyes drop low, shifting his gaze to the floor. Seeing her again shifted his expression to a now pissed and serious one.

Eunwoo did not want to see her ever again.

He walked ahead, right passed her. Mina glanced behind her shoulder as the tall man's footsteps went further, then she looked over to Ana, who stayed behind for a bit, then also followed Eunwoo.

Ana quickly hurried behind Eunwoo as he fastened his pace.

"Eunwoo," she called for him. He slowed down his pace, then heaved out a sigh as he hung his head low, the feeling of defeat overcoming him.

Ana had always been stressed when it came to his ex-girlfriend. She'd always hurt for him-- wishing she could express her feelings to him... yet, she didn't want to accidentally ruin their long term friendship just for her stupid feelings.

And plus... Ana knew there'd never be a day that Eunwoo would see her in that light.

Ana sighed.

"Eunwoo," she called for him again, this time coming near him. She didn't know what to say-- she would never know what to say. How do you comfort your friend-- whom you have feelings for-- but he's heartbroken over another woman?

Eunwoo lifted his head up, then turned towards Ana and gave her a sweet smile. It melted her heart.

"Don't worry," he reassures. "I don't care about her anymore."

Clearly, he still did.

Ana knew that deep down, but she still nodded along to what Eunwoo had told her as she didn't want to conflict with him any further about this-- she had done it way too much. He was probably tired of all the times Ana would yell at him that Mina was no good for him and that he should be over her already as it's been months since their breakup.

She allowed her feelings to sit to the side while treasuring his. She felt like dying every time Mina's name was brought up or every time they would loop back to the topic of him and Mina. But she knew that's what he wanted-- he always wanted to talk about her.

"I know," Ana replied to him. "It's okay, just take your time."

Eunwoo heaved in a deep breath, letting go of the negative energy he had from earlier. He patted Ana on the head.

"Thanks, Miss. Know It All," he chuckled.

Ana, once again, gave him the glares as he switched back to his joking manner. She couldn't help but break into a smile once she saw a smile plastered on his own lips. Her heart felt light again. She tapped his hand away from her head, hiding the smile from her face.

"Cmon, let's go get food!" Cha Eunwoo exclaimed, tugging at Ana's jacket. She couldn't hide the temptation from her face, so she allowed him to drag her out the door.

---------------

"What, he talk about her again?" Stellinah asked.

Ana shook her head. "We saw her while walking to campus center," she explained, sighing. "I don't know why I'm so annoyed by it. I wish I could turn off my feelings."

Mai shouted, "Wai! Why say that?! That's not good, man!" she joked. Ana laughed and hit her shoulder. "oh my god,"

But Ana truly felt that way. She was bothered by everything about Eunwoo and Mina, even though they've already been broken up.

"I just hope he gets over her soon." Ana said.

"And then what?" Hazel added on to Ana's statement. "What's gonna happen once he gets over her?"

Ana looked lost, confused. She shook her head. "I don't know."

There was silence between the group for a small moment. Everyone knew Ana's feelings for Eunwoo.

"Why won't you confess?" Kasumi wondered.

"If it breaks your friendship, then so what? So be it then." Mai said, now serious from the laughing manner earlier. "Just means you guys friendship wasn't meant to last. You can't just hide away your feelings like it doesn't matter."

"I know," Ana said, frustratingly, "But right now he's not over her yet. And I'm not ready yet either."

"Girl," Stellinah said, looking at her dead in the eyes. "You've had a crush on him for like what, your whole life?"

"No." Ana looked back at Stellinah, irritated. "I liked him when we were in middle school."

Stellinah shook it off, "Doesn't matter. It's been years! When are you ever gonna be ready?"

Ana sighed. "I don't know. Whatever, let's not talk about this anymore."

The whole group went silent. They had slowly started to notice a change in their best friend... she was becoming more and more involved in his life, his history, and everything aroud him. She was getting herself stressed out and frustrated because of him.

Ana gulped, eyes leveling low to calm herself down. She focused on her homework assignment, but her mind wandered elsewhere.

Meet me in my car, East parking.
- Cha Eun Woo

The text message leaves her confused. She walked out of class, holding her phone, as she slowly wandered her eyes around the glass windows to the East parking area.

Ana wondered what Eunwoo had in plan-- he always had something adventurous or surprises, nothing she'd expect.

She walked out of the building, then into the parking lot. She looked around for his car, and surely, he was inside his car that was parked in the first row. She walked over and knocked on the passenger window.

He unlocked the door. She got in.

"What is it now?" Ana said, curious. "You better not tell me you're skipping class again to go have fun?"

Eunwoo shook his head.

"What?" Ana asked again.

"Ana," He called her name, "I have a favor."

Her eyebrows furrowed together, confused, and even more curious than before. One thing about Eunwoo was that he had never asked her for favors, he was always an independent person who'd usually like to do things on his own.

"Favor?" She repeated his last word, "What kind of favor?"

Eunwoo was hesitant.

"I..." he started.

"I want you to pretend to be my girlfriend."

. . . . . .

What?
