I

(Lura's P.O.V.)

I slept pitifully as the rain pored down on us. Our cloaks were soaked, and the rain seeped in through them. I shivered from the cold.

Then, I felt a blanket be put in me. "Here," said a voice, "you need this more than I do." It was Legolas!

"Thanks." I replied, smiling up at him. He smiled back. "I'll take next watch, you get some rest."

Legolas nodded, and I got up, making my way to hight ground. I shivered.

"Surprised you're cold," said Pippin coming out of nowhere, "you're so cold-blooded, I thought you'd be warm."

"Shut up, you." I snapped. "What are you doing up?"

"I was going to ask you the same thing." Pippin replied.

"It's my turn on night watch, you?"

"Couldn't sleep. Went for a walk."

"In the rain?"

"Soothes me."

"Yes, you'll need soothing. Unfortunately, your mother's not here to give you a hug." I said coldly to him.

"Woah, yeesh, there, Lura, slow down, this is but a friendly conversation." Pippin smirks.

"If you call this conversation friendly, you'd call a lion the same thing." I answered.

"Ah, not so fast, Lady Lura," said Pippin, "would you dare criticize an innocent hobbit?"

"Innocent?" I raised my eyebrow. "I think otherwise."

"Really?" Pippin smirked. "I see. Maybe it is just a job of a woodland she-elf to ridicule a hobbit who they're twice the hight of, and feel no guilt for it?"

"Guilt? How do I feel guilt over someone so small? You mean nothing to me, Pippin, and you never will."

Pippin just stared at me, as anger boiled inside of me. This hobbit annoyed me so much, I would strangle him if I knew the Fellowship wouldn't find out.

"Well, that's good, you see." Pippin nodded, "because you mean nothing to me. And you never will."

"Fine." I said.

"Fine." Pippin said.

"AH!" A shout from below drew my attention. I bolted down the hill to where I had walked up before and stood in the peaceful valley where I had slept in before, but now it was a battlefield.

"What's going on?" Pippin, breathless, ran up to me.

"Open your eyes, hobbit, it's an Uruk attack!" I said, shooting an Uruk that was about to leap on Pippin.

"Gee, thanks." Pippin said dryly.

"Your gratitude is misplaced, Pippin, I didn't do that for you." I huffed. "After he's done with you, he'd surely come after me."

(Pippin's P.O.V.)

And with that, she was off into battle. I unsheathed my dagger and stood there, not really sure of how to use it. Coroner had given us lessons, but that was a sword, surely the use of daggers was different.

Lura shot another Uruk. She made it look to easy. Show-off. All elves ever did was show off. Show off their archery skills, show off their ninja skills...show off their hair...oh their HAIR! ALWAYS PERFECT, not a STRAND falls out of place, even when they're fighting! They never get bloody, they never get broken or bruised. If only life was that easy.

Aragorn attacked the Uruks like a madman, and Gandalf stabbed and clanked the Uruks on the head with his staff and sword.

Gimli chopped off head after head with his axe, and Merry stood in the battle as I did. Sam and Frodo were nowhere to be seen and Legolas was with Lura.

"Merry!" I called to him. "Have you see Frodo and Sam?"

"They're hiding!" said Merry, "in those trees over there." I nodded.

"At least the r-"

"Sh." Merry scowled.

"Sorry, at least IT is safe," I replied.

An Uruk jumped on Merry and brought him to the ground, trying to stabbed him. His dagger slipped out of his hand and skidded away!

"Merry!" I shouted, but Lura had already stuck an arrow in its back. I pulled the Uruk off Mrrry.

"Thanks m'lady!" Merry saluted her.

"Lura is fine!" She giggled from her perch up in a tree.

"Don't you find her annoying?" I huffed.

"Annoying? Why?" Merry asked. "She just saved me!"

"She's so annoying beyond belief! You just can't see it..." I scowled.

"Pippin! How could you say such a thing about such a fair lady? Ain't she a beauty?"

I gagged and walked away.

"The answer is yes!" Merry shouted back at me, and annoyed, I spun around, exsasperated.

"That's what she wants you to think!" I shouted. "She's an elf-witch, all who look upon her fall under her spell! She's no better than Lady Galadriel! She made herself beautiful! She's just an old hag!"

Merry stared at me as the battle raged on around us.

"Pippin!" Lura said, who during my speech, had come down from the tree and was behind me, had tears in her eyes. That made me glad that I had gotten to her. "Who could you say that?" She blinked the tears away, and turned back to the battle.

"Nice going, Pippin, you hurt her feelings. I'm going with Frodo and Sam." Merry flared at me and walked away.

"THAT'S THE HALFLING WITH THE RING!" shouted an Uruk.

"SIEZE HIM!" shouted another. Before anyone could react, I was captured and brought off.

"Help!" I screamed, but no one could help. For I was already too far away.
