Girl : ( looking into his deep eyes and accepting his promise suddenly her hand slips theres a scream and black out)

Swara wakes up from sleep panting, sweat drops shine like pearl on her forehead again the same dream you left me but it has not left me in last two years .She goes back to sleep but just tossing around. She wake up fills a glass with water takes a sip tears brim in her big round eyes...i'm so damn alone you took the easy escape leaving me behind...Still your last words to me "Jaan your breath are my life if it stops i'll die"they are the reason i am still breathing.

Swara is standing by the window in the shade of moonlit stary night gazing the open sky she's remembering something. Suddenly her trance broke and she talks to moon with tear filled eyes "Loving you is the only reason for me being alive to protect you and our love from the world. Even if i accept the truth my heart would never accept the reality because it knows you more then you know yourself you can betray your heart beat but not me,never."

A man is seen running on a cold stormy night. Along lonely dark street with a 2 year old baby in his arms. Some goons are chasing him. He looks as if he has had a rough time escaping and is running to save his life.He's bleeding at his back as his shirt is soaked and appearing red. Pain and scare is clearly visible on his face he's tall his fair skin hidden behind his hair which is not cut since longtime. He appears dirty,ragged beggar kinda but his sugary eyes depict a different story.He is having a rough stubble look his eyes are red and swollen as if he has not slept for many days or rather he's intoxicated. His cloth are tattered hardly giving him any relief from the cold its just covering his body, bare feet he's running on the road without noticing his leg is bleeding.

He is reaching a dead end before which there is a lane without trace of human or light.He looks behind and turns on the narrow lane. Further getting out of the lane he sees many bungalows ahead. He's out of breath and also dizzy he stumbles but holds the baby firmly in his grip not letting her fall. He reaches infront of a duplex bungalow where the board reads Dr. Swara Maheshwari. He is standing just next to the board he sees a guard at the gate and waits there looking around hiding behind a tree trunk next to the bungalow. He sees guard going out from his place without waiting for next moment he enters the gate making sure no one has seen him. He reaches the door stumbling he is on his knees staring down as he's completely exhausted . Door is opened by a beautiful lady who is looking cute in her baby pink satin night suit who is startled seeing the person. She's about to shout when he whispers Please don't panic i'm not thief,I've not come here to harm you. She feels immense pain listening to his painful voice. She composes herself and looks at the condition of the person she touches his shoulder.

He stands up with much difficulty he looks at her both share a eyelock. He's dizzy and closing his eyes he hands over the baby to her who is asleep and says Keep her safe she's in danger. Before she could react or she says anything he collapses on her shoulder. She's startled and talks panicking listen please you are very heavy stay awake till i get you in. He smiles a bit in pain hearing her request in sweet voice.Holding baby in one hand and supporting him from his waist wobbly she manages to come in and close the door by kicking it.

She puts him on sofa she doesn't notice he's injured. In the meantime baby gets up crying and looking at the man starts saying "baba khide" (means dad i'm hungry in bengali). swara has tears in her eyes looking at the kid she lifts up the kid and hugs her the baby is scared but melts in swara's warm hug. She looks at weary condition of the baby dirty clothes, blood stained face messy hair. She decides to feed baby before giving her a quick wash. She quickly rushes into the kitchen and takes the milk vessel pours it into a cup and gives it a dash into microwave. When the milk was heating up she was looking at innocent soul clinging her and thinking. Has he kidnapped this baby. No, hows that possible baby is calling him baba means he's her father. She frowned at her confused thought she's his daughter. Her trance was broken by beeping of the microwave she quickly got the mug outside made the baby sit on nearby dinning table and fed her. Baby emptied the mug in one go she seemed to be very hungry. Swara lifted the baby in her arms and rushed towards her bedroom and put on the geyser. She let the water flow into the tub and gave quick wash to the baby taking care she dry her quickly so the baby doesn't catch cold or infection after all she's doctor knows the possible issues with small babies catching disease easily.

She quickly got the baby out and was thinking what to make her wear as the dress she wore was very smelly and dirty. Suddenly she rushed into next room and opened the wardrobe which had many baby clothes and baby stuff. She removed one of the Romper and grabbing cream and powder muttering sorry she ran into the room seeing baby sitting silently scared on the bed. As soon as she touched the baby hugged her tightly she soothed the baby and got her ready. Baby signed her stating she's hungry now as she was clean and ready in warm clothes swara lifted her and went to kitchen. In all this she forgot about the person who got the baby.

She took out some bread and ghee tossed it on a pan and applied some jam and gave it to the baby sitting next to her on the kitchen slab.To her amusement baby took a bite and then asked swara to put her down. Those tiny hand holding the piece of bread with wobbly step came in the hall and went towards the man sleeping on the couch. She kept the piece of bread near his mouth and said baba. Getting no response she frowned and looked at swara.

Swara was panicked and looking shocked as how she forgot about the person. Hurriedly she checked his pulse. To her dismay it was dropping, she was panicking and trying to waking him up, but all in vain. Suddenly he was sweating and whispering shona....Shona... in broken voice. Her eyes were all teary she was feeling pain in her heart seeing the situation. She tried to pick him and make him sit straight but as her hand touched his back he winced in pain "Ahhhhhhhh" She again made him lie down and saw her hand covered with blood she was super scared now. Didn't knew what to do. He was breathing heavily she unknowingly started consoling him and caressing his hair he calmed in her solace and went unconscious. She saw even baby was calmly sleeping on her lap. She was staring the person on the couch blankly tears unknowingly rolling down her eyes wetting her cheeks. 

She immediately dialed someone's number and in no time the doorbell rang. Thank God you arrived Karan.

Karan swara's friend,colleague who is madly in love with her wants to marry her proposed her but she's not interested and always denies his request. He works in the hospital where swara is one of the board of directors and final authority in the branch he is one of the active partners and on board. They've a silent partner who lives in london. The hospital belongs to a business magnet family living abroad they have chain of hospitals out of which this is the one located in kolkatta.

Karan : What's the matter?

Swara : She narrated him the complete story.

Karan : We should inform the police its a risky case.

Swara : (shouts ) No , Her life is in danger may be his to we can't do any mistake till he wakes up. Right now he needs medical help his condition is deteriorating.

Karan : Sat near the stranger and started examining him. His condition is vulnerable we need to shift him to hospital at the earliest.

Swara : He would be safe here can't we get the medical need here.

Karan : Its not safe what if he's some goon or terrorist.

Swara : No he's not.

Karan: (confused look) How you know? Do you know his identity.

Swara : (silent tone )No its just the way he spoke i thought.

Karan : Whatever you trust anyone easily. He needs to be admitted i assure you his safety.

Swara:(in mind) He's not stranger but strange.

Karan : Don't worry i'll take care no one knows about him.

Swara gets the car to the door she's shocked at he scenario on entering her house.

Karan had lifted the stranger from the sofa and sofa was completely drenched in his blood she became teary eyes at her foolishness. She lifted the baby and ran behind karan. She opened the door of back seat karan carefully made him sit swara was about to sit there. But,karan told her to make him lie and asked her to sit on passenger seat. Karan sat on driver seat,swara on passenger seat with baby on her lap and they drove off.

At hospital:

Karan with the help of wardboy got the stranger on stretcher and got into treatment room. Swara went to her cabin and made the baby sleep on the couch . She sat on her chair again closing her eyes but she was feeling restless. She was thinking something when her phone rings breaking her trance she looks at the caller Id and gives a faint smile.

Person on phone (POP): Hey darling seem to be very busy have been calling since long time

Swara : Not at all can't be busy for you ever. Hows you dear?

POP : I'm good you temme i hope didn't disturb your sleep.

Swara : No not at all i'm in hospital

POP : Hospital so early i know you wake up early but this time in hospital.

Swara : Nothing just there was an emergency isliye.

POP : Ok is karan with you

Swara :Hmm

POP : R u fine ?

Swara : yes i am

POP : You seem upset

Swara : No not at all . I will give you call afterwards.

POP : Ok and hangs up the call

She calls a nurse and advises her to be with the baby and leaves from there.She went towards the treatment room knocked but karan advised her to stay outside. After about 30 minutes karan called her in. She saw Karan finishing bandaging his open wounds and he was sleeping calmly they had made him sleep on his one side turning on the right hand his complete back was bandaged. Even there was bandage on his hand and foot. Antiseptic was applied on his chest which was almost covering till his tummy. He was just in pants every inch of his exposed body was wounded,bruised she was now broken and crying badly as she didn't observe it at first. How could i fail to see his pain, so many wounds? As she was in thinking something deeply lost in her world..

Karan broke the silence and asked her to accompany him to the cabin. He instructed the wardboy to shift him to the special room next to his cabin. Also, one of the nurse on duty was instructed to monitor him as his condition wasn't stable.

He continued saying he had a narrow escape from the danger but don't know if he's strong enough to escape death.
