Bobby was slowly regaining consciousness. She found herself immediately blinded by a brilliant light. It was blatantly obvious that she was undergoing another surgery.

Squinting through the brilliant light, Bobby could see the people in white coats running around with notes and surgical tools. Peering down at the floor, Bobby's fur stiffened when she saw the red stain of dried blood. Was that her blood or someone else's?! Overcome with dread and panic, she went to stand up. However, a blasted spasm hindered her. Falling into a heap as more people ran, the bear screamed.

The people in white coats were fleeing, they were all leaving the room. Her heart plummeting, Bobby yelled for them to come back. She needed them to fix her! She didn't want to be deaf! She didn't want to be in pain all the time! She didn't want to be alone! The bear screamed and screamed, begging for the people to come back.

Something small yet sharp hit Bobby in the shoulder. Roaring from the shock, the bear Smiling Critter turned to her left. There were people! But these guys were different from the white coats. They were dressed like soldiers and carried guns. One was reloading his weapon while the others were aiming at her. Desperate for help, Bobby reached out with a trembling paw.

That's all it took for the men to open fire...
