Samuru's P.O.V

"What?" Skylar didn't meet my eyes as I stared at her. D-Did she just say she knew who murdered Mother? How does she know? Who told her? Those questions swarmed my mind, as I grabbed her hand and squeezed it, hard.

"Tell me!" I demanded. I need to know who Mother's murderer is!

"I said that I think I know who murdered her!" yelled Skylar. "I never said know!"

"Then tell me!"

Skylar glared at me. "You wouldn't want to know anyway."

She stalked off to her tent with Dragoness in her hand, and slipped in. I sat by the river, alone now. What does she mean that I wouldn't want to know anyway? I felt that she actually knew who murdered Mother, but didn't want to tell me.

Dravise glanced at me and didn't say anything. I stared off into the river. What's wrong with her? No.....what's wrong with me? I stared at my hand, and tried to command the breeze to make a small ball of air in my hand. The breeze seemed to freeze and turned back.

It swirled around me as it curled up into a ball. I looked at it in amazement. Did I just control the air? That's incredible! Dravise narrowed his eyes. "If that is a gift, then use it wisely, Samuru."

I smiled. "I will."

I practiced all night with my newfound power and went back to the tent. I yawned as I slipped into bed. What felt like few minutes of sleep was disturbed as I heard the bangs of a pot. Koukuro and breakfast. Ugh.

I stood up, and walked out of the tent. The others were outside, with the newcomers yawning like crazy. "Did you have to wake us up that early?" complained Takuya, rubbing his eyes. Tommy nodded in agreement.

"If you want breakfast, then yes," retorted Skylar, "if you don't want breakfast, then no. But I think Tommy can sleep in a bit more."

"WHAT?!" screamed J.P.. Ow! My ears! Don't scream in my ears! The others seemed to have the same idea, as Reiji and Yuki glared at him tiredly.

"There's a good reason for that, J.P.," Skylar answered coolly, "he's a kid under twelve, and he looks like he's going to fall over any minute now. Off you go, Tommy."

Tommy nodded, and headed off to his tent. Now I feel really jealous that he can sleep in. Why can't we all sleep in, huh? Oh, wait.......they have something to talk about today at breakfast? Maybe that's it.

"Okay, I think we should tell you why we called you out right now," Skylar's voice rang through the air. We were all waiting for her to finish up. I was tensed. Still wondering about what Skylar meant by she knows who murdered Mother.

"We found a secret passageway inside your house, Samuru." Wait.....there's a what in my house? "And I believe it's where your kidnapped friends are. We're going to have a sneak-in mission to check it out."

"I'm sorry, but WHAT?!" shouted Reiji.

"We're doing a sneak-in mission, and possibly, a rescue mission." Man, is Skylar really tensed. Her eyes look really mad at something.....me? "Koushiro will be the one teaching you how to fight with weapons, and I'll be the one teaching you how to use a gun."

"G-Guns?" stammered Tommy, taking a step back. Did Skylar just say that she's going to teach us how to use a gun? That's really dangerous. If she decides that she's going to teach Tommy how to use a gun, I think we'll all freak out. What? It's my opinion!

"Not you, preferably for you, a dagger or a knife, but never a gun. The rest of you will learn how to use a gun. For now, I'll be dividing you into teams for the sneak-in/rescue mission. Koukuro, let's go."

Koukuro and Skylar walked out of the campsite, into the forest. What are they exactly doing? As I pondered this thought, Koushiro sighed and turned to face us. "Well, let's get started."

Normal P.O.V

Koukuro gapped at the house of Samuru, which was swarmed with polices and the 'Keep out!' tape. Skylar glanced at Koukuro and set up her laptop. She quickly typed in few words, and clicked 'Enter'. A security system showed up. "We're in."

Skylar quickly typed in some more, with Koukuro pointing out some things that could be important. Finally, she found some things that seemed like cameras, and clicked on it. Sure enough, there were cameras all over the place.

She narrowed her eyes, and clicked on one camera. It showed a live video stream of a blue-haired, a silver-haired and a red-haired teens. Behind her, Koukuro gasped a bit. "Are they the-"

"Ones we have to rescue? Yup, they're the ones."

"Shouldn't we tell Koushiro?" asked Koukuro worriedly.

"We'll tell him when we get back to the campsite. Now let's hurry." The pair walked off, with Skylar and Koukuro planning the mission. But they didn't notice someone stalking them with another camera.

???'s P.O.V

I stared at the screen where it showed her and her friend. So, that girl actually found out that I kept them here. Well then, I believe I better let them be. Perhaps, it's better if I let them sneak in, but won't allow them to escape with my prisoners.

I shut off the system and heard a knock on the door of my office. "Come in."

The police chief came in, narrowing his eyes. "I got where they live right now."

"Perfect. Where?"

"They're living by river right now, but I doubt they'll stay there for long. They're probably going to move to another spot."

"Good. Dismissed." The police chief bowed and walked off. I smiled. Oh, Samuru won't win. In fact, he will not win this game. Because I will shock him with my appearance, because he never suspected that someone so close to him will do it to him.

Cliffhanger!!! Anyone know who ??? is? Because I'm going to reveal who it is in the next chapter!!!! Wait.....now I feel like this is too short! And pathetic!
