"Surrender" he told me

With his cold voice,

I stared at him

with fiery eyes

and simply left...

As if I would surrender

to someone who wished

to watch me fall gently

and kiss the rough ground

with wounded lips...

I sacrificed not myself

but my own being

to see him revive

in the mountain's hidden springs

and through my Emerald's

pure green folds...

I nurtured him

with my own tears

and fed him my blood,

my innermost thoughts

yet he left me

to return now

and tell me surrender?

I surrender to no one

especially to cowards

who do not wish to walk

by my side...
