Chelsea's p.o.v.

It's really early morning as we arrive on the Island of Happiness. Most of the island is asleep, and no one Is out as we return to my ranch. The fields are covered in snow as we walk to the front door and take our bags to what is now our bedroom. We put our clothes away and spend the next few hours putting Vaughn's things away that he'd sent here.He then helps me tend to the animals, because it's early and Julia hasn't been by yet.

My animals are more than happy to see me. I leave the barn as Vaughn puts the feed in as I hear Julia calling my name.

"Hey Jules what's up.", I say as I sit on the fence.

 "So how was the boat ride back?", she asks. "It was great.", I say cocking my head at her.

 "So Sabrina says you got a suite on your cruise." she says with a raised eyebrow.

"And she learned this how?", I say cocking my head as my husband leans on the doorway of the barn going unnoticed by his cousin.

"She made some calls she said after you left, and some lady said you checked into a suite with a male companion." she says.

"Well that's kind of creepy, but yes I did get a suite on the cruise.", I say with a mischievous grin. "It was the honeymoon suite to be exact." and I watch amused as her eyes grow big and shoot to my glove covered hands.Vaughn lets out a chuckle startling her into spinning around. "And I believe you know who my companion is." I say as Vaughn joins us and leans on the fence next to me.

"We got married Julia.", Vaughn finally says as he wraps a free arm around my waist.

"Oh wow! Congratulations guys." she squealed wrapping us both into a big hug. After a little while she left and I was alone with my new husband again. He pulled me into him again and pressed his lips hungrily against mine and I could feel myself melt into his arms.

Vaughn's P.o.v.

The rest of the season progressed quickly, or so it seemed, I helped Chelsea on the ranch and she was able to expand the buildings so we could get more animals. When I wasn't helping her I was at Mirabella's working. I thought she worked too hard before but now I saw how she threw everything she was into everything she put her heart into it.The island had thrown us a party after they learned of the wedding, and everyone came to give me and Chelsea their best wishes.

It was spring again and I was at work while Chelsea was busy planting. I was busting tail because I hoped to grab Chelsea and drag her to lunch, so she wouldn't for get to eat.Since we'd been married Dr. Jin had called when Chelsea was out and gave me a run down on what I didn't know about Chelsea, like that her captivity had given her anemia and she had issues keeping her blood sugar up at times so she could go into hypoglycemic shock if it got to low.

Thankfully I hadn't run into it yet but with the heat and amount of work Chelsea had today, she'd need to be stopped to eat. So I hurried up and got the animals done at the animal shop, and began moving feed bags.

"Hey Vaughn, I saw that crazy blond that got in a fight with Chelsea walking around the beach.", says my cousin's husband as he enters and moves a few bags himself. Crap.

"I need to go find Chelsea before she hurts the poor girl." I say as I shoot out the door and run for the farm. When I arrive Chelsea is still planting, and boy does she look tired. She hasn't even spotted me as she's become wrapped up in her work.

"Chelsea!", I shout as I head towards her careful of all her hard work. She looks up from what she's doing and gives me a tired smile. "Thought I'd come fix you some lunch.", I say and she gives me a thankful smile as she gets up.

"Sounds good" she says walking to her discarded rucksack and cover shirt and plopping down grabbing a water bottle.She sits and downs the bottle quickly.

"You look whipped." I say.

"That's the understatement of the year.", she says.

"Come on let's get you inside and out of the sun so you can rest while I fix you something." I say helping her up and leading her in, mostly so she doesn't run into Karen before she's feeling better.

"I'm short seeds, I need to run into town after lunch so I can walk you back to work.", she offers as we enter our house and refills her bottle before plopping on the kitchen island and grabbing an apple. I start to make up some sandwiches as she munches her apple.

"Maybe you should take it easy the rest of the day, you seem a little extra tired.", I say as she watches me curiously.

"Taro says rain the rest of the week. I need to get my seeds before the weather changes." she says taking a swig of water.

"Can't it wait till the rain passes.", I ask.

"Sweety, this is the only ranch on the island, and I grow crops to sell here as well as elsewhere." she says " and still have enough for here so I've got to get the work done."As she walks over to the compost bin and throws her apple remains in while I place the sandwiches on the counter and grab the milk bottle out of the fridge.We ate lunch quietly and she seemed to perk up a bit after the break. We started to walk towards the village her holding my hand as we talked. I hadn't spotted Karen yet, but I tried to keep an eye out for her.

"Chelsea be careful today." I say as she waves goodbye running for Chen's.I go back inside hoping that Elliott was wrong about seeing Karen. I got ready to go back to the backroom when Julia came running into the shop.

"Vaughn you got to come, that chick that damaged the shop is fighting Chelsea." she shouts. I knew I should have said something.I go running out after my cousin who leads me to the beach. There's a crowd and I push my way through and come to watching Karen, a very drunk one charging Chelsea, and Chelsea evading.

"Karen we're married now, there is no you and him." she says to the blond as she jumps back as Karen swipes at her legs. "I can do this all day Karen, but attacking me isn't gonna solve anything." she says calmly as Karen gets up.

"Whore!", she shouts as she charges Chelsea again.

 "Karen let him go, and leave before you hurt yourself." says the brunette farmer.

"No I won't let you have him you evil slut!", shouts Karen as she pulls a pistol out of her jacket. By now I was standing closer to Chelsea, and I knew neither me nor Chelsea were packing ours today."Everything went slow as I heard her fire and I jumped to get Chelsea out-of-the-way, and I felt a sharp pain, and heard Chelsea's scream before everything went black."

Chelsea's p.o.v.

I screamed when Vaughn fell at my feet blood gushing from a head wound, I dropped to the ground by him as some men grabbed Karen who was now crying it was my fault Vaughn was hurt. I could feel the tears in my eyes as I held him until the helicopter landed and then I hopped in with him and his aunt and cousin. When we got to the hospital were we were ushered into a waiting room.Later they told me he was in a coma, but he was alive. I was so relieved he was alive, I stayed at his bedside everyday the first month, but that dragged and I had a farm to run so me Julia and Mirabella took turns with him, even though it killed me to be away from him.

I had very little appetite and my friends would stop by when I was home constantly to make sure I ate. I slept in little naps now, as I worried and prayed over my hurt husband.I never gave up though, as long as he breathed I would never give up. I loved him and if he died i'd be lost.It was now winter again and I was taking my turn in the hospital at his side due to it also being our anniversary. Julia and Elliott had come with me so I wouldn't be walking through the city alone today.

 I was kneeling and praying again, while Julia and Elliott were in the Cafeteria.When I startled at a motion on the back of my head, and looked up to see a pair of violet eyes staring at me in confusion. I felt tears of relief build up behind my eyes and his hand is behind my head. From behind me I heard Julia's happy squeal as she entered and saw the scene.Then a bunch of doctors and nurses came in and I got shoved in a corner, as they began to run tests. Julia hugged Elliott hard catching Vaughn's attention.

 "Hey Jules whose the guy, and why am I here." he says and my jaw drops.
