LOST

Chapter 18

"Hurry up!" Seto yelled from up ahead, we were running after him in woods. Where was he leading us? I had no clue

"Seto slow down, and tell us what is going on, we deserve to know!" I yelled after him. I had to skid to a stop and he stopped running and turned to face me and the others.

"He glared daggers at all of us, "We don't have time for this!" Just as he was turning around, I was sure I saw his eyes flash red.

Seto carried on running with everyone else going after him. I faltered before shaking my head and following after them. I'm sure...I'm sure it was just a trick of the light, right?

~~~~~
It seems we finally found what Seto was looking for. Seto peered over the small gaping hole in the ground, he looked at us and then motioned us over.
"Everyone hold on, I'm going to teleport us down there. The hole is to deep to simply jump.
Before any of us could protest, we found ourselves in the caves below. I immediately felt sick to my stomach, teleporting was never fun.
"This way." Seto motioned for us to follow him. We followed and he lead us into an area with walls of stone brick and a strange staircase in the center.
"What is this place?!" Mitch awed, Seto climbed the staircase and looked back at us.
"A room with the portal to the End, that's the only place Ty could've gone."
"Portal?! You never mentioned a portal!"
Seto shrugged, and jumped without waiting for any of us.
"S-Seto!" Jason yelled, Jason lunged to stop Seto but stumbled and fell through the portal after Seto.
"Jason!" I yelled, "Sh*t, we have to after them." I walked to head after then, but an arm held me back.
"Wait," Quentin said behind me, "We don't know what's in there."
"But Seto does. He's been there before and come back, meaning we can to." Quentin glanced uneasily around then sighed. He let go of my arm and I walked up the stairs. The portal was dark and scary, I shuddered at the dark feeling it left in me and jumped. My vision went black as the world loaded around me.
~~~~~

"What is the End?" I asked, both Jinx and Adam's father were leaving me out of the conversation.

"Now! We're not prepared! We haven't even found the portal!" He panicked.

"Do not worry, I've received another premonition. I saw your son and his friends shrouded in the shadow of a night without day. A beast, darker than anything the world has ever seen will meet them. Swords will clash, and teeth will gnash, but the outcome is still a mystery."

"Wait, they're fighting some monster!... I should be there with them!" Finally Quentin's mother looked at me.

She shook her head and said, "Your fate lies elsewhere. Your assistance is needed here."

"I can't waste my time here!" I argued, before I could make a move the ground began to shake. People started to shout as the ground cracked around our feet.

I jumped and moved out of the way as the earth split beneath me, "D*mn!" Adam's father hissed, "Everyone, prepare for battle, things will get messy from now on. This is the moment we've been waiting for!" He shouted over the groaning of the earth, with a sense of direction the panic died down and people began to move with urgency.

"Hey! You're not going to leave me without a weapon are you?!" I yelled to him. He glanced at me and sighed, he motioned to a soldier and he brought a sword. I gladly took it in my hand.

"Don't try anything funny," he growled.

I grinned, "Wouldn't dream of it!" just then, the sky darkened and I prepared myself for a fight of a lifetime.

~~~~~
"Ty! Ty!" I groaned and sheepishly opened my eyes.
"Just a few more minutes," I whined. Who ever was yelling at me began to shake me with an abundance of force. It woke me up and I looked to see Jason's eyes staring at me with worry.
"Jason!" Jason was here? Why was he here, "Jason, where'd you come from?"
My question was drowned out as Jason grabbed me into a tight hug, "You're alive!" Then he pushed me away and glared, "Are you stupid! You just ran off without saying anything!"
I shifted uncomfortably as he glared at me, "I had good reason. Seto is not Seto, or at least, he can't be, I'm sure of it!" I protested, his eyes softened and he stood up and held his hand to me. I took it and he pulled me up.
"Look, now that doesn't matter, now we just need to get out of--" Jason was interrupted three small flashes of purple light appeared and out popped the rest of the team, each landing on the other. There was a pause before the fourth light flashed and Quentin appeared. They all groaned from the fall, Adam probably in the most pain since he was on the bottom.
"Guys!" I shouted with joy, "You're all here too"
They looked up at me voice and their eyes jumped with joy, "Ty! You're alive!"
I took a step back and frowned, "Wait, you guys thought I was dead?"
"Well you vanished without a word and left us chasing after Seto to find you," Quentin said.
"Seto's here?" I looked around, I had a few question I wanted to ask him.
Jason looked around and frowned, "Well he was..."
"What do you mean he was?" Adam dusted himself off after Jerome, Mitch, and Quentin had gotten off him.
"I don't know?"Jason said, "He jumped, and I fell. When I fell, I saw Ty, but I guess when I think back to it, Seto was nowhere to be found."
"Well, where could he have gone?!" I said. Now getting the chance to really look around, I noticed we were encased in a weird stone like box. I've never seen the material before, so we must really be in some sort of other realm.
I also noticed the oddly dug out staircase, crudely formed by a pickaxe, most likely, "Guys," I said, then pointed to the staircase, "I think that is a way out."
They looked up with relief, "Well, what're we waiting for! Let's get out of this odd place!" Jerome exclaimed.
"W-wait!" I shouted before they all ran to the 'stairs', "I haven't been entirely truthful..."
"What do you mean?" Jason asked.
"Well, there's some information I've been with holding since we began this journey, something that may change your minds about going out there." Just then, as if perfectly timed, an ear piercing roar interrupted me.
"What was that!" Quentin panicked.
I sighed, "Exactly what I was about to tell you. If we go up there, we'll be faced with fighting a dragon."
"Wait, wait, wait, you mean like those stuff in fairytales?" Adam asked.
I shrugged, I honestly didn't know.
"We have to go out there, if we don't, then Seto may be hurt!" Jason argued. Truth be told, my heart was torn between finding answers, and helping Seto. This whole entire time Seto has been keeping secrets, I feel like I can't trust him.
When no one argued for staying, Jason made the bold move and headed towards the steps. Reluctantly Mitch and Jerome followed, then after a few moments, so did the rest of us.
Whatever awaited us up there, was sure to be unpleasant.
