Chapter 48

**Trigger Warning: sexual violence, forced birth, murder - it's fairly dark and twisted folks**

Mike

Shane and I placed everything in the van. He was thrilled when Ma told him about our next breeder. It was that Avery girl he'd been crazy about for a couple of years now. When he found out she wasn't pregnant, he was over the moon at the idea of breeding her. I think he's hoping to train her the way I had planned for number one. Personally, I worried she might be too much for him, but either way, she'd be a good addition to the farm. We had her stockade all prepped with a new sling and fresh hay. Number three was doing well and just started the third trimester. One and two had finished their heats, but it was too early for Ma to get a good test. We'd spent most of the week inseminating the two, so I was confident they were bred.

"Come on, I don't want to be late," Shane shouted as he hopped into the driver's seat. I grunted and jumped in. I had the book bag with the "project" materials, some snacks, and three water bottles. All three had been lightly dosed to help keep her calm. We'd give her the laudanum once we had her at the farm. We didn't need her causing a scene and the date rape drugs were just enough to make the breeders compliant, but not appear drugged. This batch was high dollar. It had a hypnotic effect where the recipient stayed mostly alert and would readily agree to suggestions. We needed to make sure she left the library willingly since it was such a public location. This wasn't like some of our other pickups. Most times, we found them alone after Ma gave us their addresses and medical files. Her job at the clinic was the perfect way to acquire healthy livestock.

We parked near one of the rear entrances, then walked around the front to meet her. I spotted her messy bun amid a sea of people. She gave us a big grin and waved. That's it, little breeder, come to us.

Avery

I saw them standing by the front doors and waved, forcing a smile on my face when all I wanted to do was rip their throats out. I had an old school bag with me, knowing that I might lose all my stuff in this little adventure. From the corner of my eye, I caught Axel near the information desk as I walked into the library with Mike and Shane. They led me to the study room and I let out a sigh of relief. I was worried they might switch it at the last minute.

"So how much did you guys get done?" I asked as I dug out my portion of the work. "Where's Jennifer? She has a section too."

Shane shook his head. "I don't know. She said she was coming." He flipped his computer to show her response to his email. "Maybe she's running late?"

Mike grunted, "Might as well get started. We can catch her up later. I've got work tonight, so I can't stay too long."

I shrugged, "Oh, well okay." We started working and for a few moments, I thought we were wrong. Shane went to the vending machine and came back with three water bottles. I opened mine and took a long drink before noticing neither of them had opened theirs. "Everything okay?" I asked. They both just grinned and Mike moved to the door, locking it.

"Just fine, number four," he sneered.

I frowned, "What?" He dropped the shades and before I could react, Shane held my arms as Mike poured more of the water down my throat, forcing me to swallow. My head began to swim as the drugs took effect. I tried to calm my breathing, reminding myself that Marc and Axel were near, and Victor was watching. None of them would let these creeps harm me. We just needed to find Jennifer.

Shane stroked my hair as I began to feel dizzy, "That's it, little breeder, don't fight it. I promise we'll take good care of you. Ma says you want lots of babies, and if you're a good breeder, maybe I'll keep you for myself." My head leaned into his shoulder and I breathed heavily.

"Wh..what did you do?"

"Shh...it's just something to help you relax," he cooed. The look of obsession on his face made my blood run cold.

Mike knelt in front of me and cupped my face, "We're going to stand up and walk to the back of the library now, breeder. Leave your stuff here and let Shane keep a hold of you, okay." I found myself nodding in agreement. "Good breeder. You're going to do fine, number four."

"Why are you calling me that?" I slurred.

He gave an evil grin, "That's your name breeder. You'll understand when we reach the farm. Now, let's go." He held his hands out and they helped me stand, waiting until I was steady. "No calling out or looking around. We will take care of you and are all you need right now. Say it."

I tried to shake my head, but instead, I heard my voice repeating his words. "You will take care of me, you're all I need."

Shane kissed the side of my head, "Such a good breeder. I knew you'd be perfect for us." Mike rolled his eyes and moved forward, unlocked the door, and led us out. Shane held me close and my eyes stayed down as we moved. My heart clenched when I saw the van, but didn't resist when they opened the door and buckled me into the backseat. Mike got into the driver's seat while Shane climbed in next to me. He kept stroking my hand and reassuring me.

Marc

I watched them lead her out to the van and hopped on my motorcycle. I pulled out just ahead of them, turned, and circled back. "Do you have the plates?" I asked Vic.

"Yeah, I got it, running them now. Just don't lose sight of her, Marc." I could hear the terror in his voice. "They drugged her with something in her water. Some kind of date rape drug I'm guessing. I remember Sean talking about ones that would make victims compliant. She didn't even attempt to resist. They kept calling her breeder and number four. Said they were taking her to the farm."

"I'm following her. Just keep tracking my signal. When they pull off, I'll throw a tracker and then keep going so it looks like I'm just out on a ride. I'll circle back around. Ax is coming up behind me by a mile as well. She's tough, man. She'll be okay" I tried to reassure him, but if they drugged her, even I was worried and I barely knew the girl.

"We're about six miles out," Vic said.

"I can't believe you let my chaton go on a fucking mission!" Gabe swore in the background. He must have showed up after we left. I could just picture his sassy ass giving them all hell.

"They just pulled off on a dirt road. Looks like there's some kind of barn and a very run-down house. Stone fence around the property line. Tracker is out," I told them as I threw it down and continued along the main road. I could see them parking outside a barn where a short, grey-haired woman came out to greet them before I lost visual.

"I stopped just shy of the tracker. Bike is stashed and I'm going in through the fields," Ax's voice came over the com.

"I'm circling and doing the same. Coming in from the opposite side," I told them.

"Two point five out, coming in on foot - locked and loaded," Nate added.

Shane

We pulled up and Ma came out with a huge smile. She clapped happily, "There's our new girl. I told you she wouldn't fight. She wants this, don't you sweetie?"

"N...nurse Cahil?" the breeder stammered, her eyes wide.

Ma waved her hand, "Oh none of that now, number four. Let's get you fixed up and maybe soon you can call me Ma. I know my boy, Shane, would love that."

I put my arm around her as we moved into the barn. She stumbled a bit on the doorway and I scooped her up. She leaned her head against my chest and sighed. "You're going to be such a good breeder for me, aren't you number four?"

She nodded and whispered, "Yes." My chest thrummed with excitement.

Her eyes widened when she saw the stockades and slings. She wiggled a bit until I reprimanded her, then she stilled instantly. "Okay, let's get you cleaned up." Mike and I stripped her clothes and placed her in the new sling next to her former friend. Number one didn't even react to her presence. I know Mike was pleased with how quickly her fire had died. I bound her arms and feet like the others leaving her fully open for us. She shivered as I sprayed her down and scrubbed her clean. I put the blanket over her and moved to her face. "See, that's better isn't it, number four?" She made a humming sound, her eyes glazed.

Ma came to stand next to me. "I see you didn't cut her hair." I lowered my head. She patted my arm, "I understand. Just be sure to keep it clean and up. Best get her fed now. I'm going to check on three, she's gonna deliver early with twins this time. The buyers were overjoyed when they found out," she gleamed. "A boy and a girl, isn't it just perfect?"

"When will she be ready?" I asked, nodding to the new breeder.

"We took her a bit early, but I didn't want to risk it. It will be at least a week to ten days. Might have to do extra insemination rounds to ensure it. Once she's had her first one, it will be easier to get a firm grasp on her cycles."

I turned and hugged her, "Thanks, Ma. I really appreciate this."

She patted my cheeks, "I know, son. It's good to see you smile. The moment you told me about her, I knew she was perfect for you. Just like I was back then, eager for babies. I just needed a good man to show me the right way. You'll be that for her just like your father was for me." She swiped at her eyes and then left to check on number three.

I looked back down at her. "See, it was meant to be," I whispered, then grabbed the tube and began working it down her throat as she gagged and jerked. "Shh, I won't hurt you, breeder. We have to keep you healthy and calm, now swallow for me." I massaged her throat as the tube fed her. Soon she finished and lay drowsily as I pulled the sling under her head and tied up her hair. I stayed with her until her breaths evened out and she slept peacefully.
