But They Stayed

Oh yes! Two updates in one day! Thank you too to my many commenters who have sparked some wonderful ideas that will go into this book and the sequel which I have already started work on because I am so excited to share the next chapter of their story despite not have disclosed this part yet. I have it all planned out. *laughs evilly*

Also has anyone else have that Virgina_Lewis deleted her account, or is it just me? I really liked her stories.

And without further ado, onto the chapter! Byee *Clap**Clap*

3rd Person POV (because I prefer it now, fight me)

"owwwww," Sky moaned clutching his head as he flopped down on the bed opposite Josh, "I think I have a concussion from when I head dived into the orchestra pit."

"Do you need to get it checked out?" Josh asked, opening google to search up symptoms of concussions, "You should have gone earlier."

"Probably," said Sky clutching his hands over his ears in a useless attempt to stop them from ringing, "I can't go on like this!" Sky dramatically reached his hand above him then clutched his chest and pretended to die.

"Well do you have a headache?" Josh asked.

"Check"

"Ringing ears?"

"Check"

"Fatigue?"

"I am more tired than ever"

"Have you been sick?"

"Dude!" Sky exclaimed irritably, "Do you really want to know?"

"I want to know if you have a concussion and if I have to take you to the hospital, so yes! I do want to know!" Josh said generally worried about his friend. He couldn't let another friend get hurt.

"Yes," Sky muttered, not really wanting to disclose that kind of information, "A couple times between the end of the show and twenty minutes ago."

"Come on then," Josh told Sky hauling him from the bed and slinging his arm around Sky's shoulders when he saw him slightly stumbling over and lead him out of the hotel room. Josh had seen a hospital not very far from the theatre, so they decided to walk. Maybe the fresh air would help.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Josh trudged out of the hospital alone that night, Sky had to be hospitalized overnight so they could observe him. Josh had let another friend get hurt, he thought about how lousy of a friend he was being. And he had let Grace taken away from him! She was being abused by her social worker and there was nothing he could do about it. He smacked his head with his hand multiple times wanting the bad thoughts to fly out of his head and leave him be. But they stayed.

He called Jeff explaining what had happened to Sky and Jeff had told him he would make swing arrangements. Sure, he had been treated on the scene, but Sky being Sky told everyone he was fine and went straight back on stage like the idiot he is - Josh thought. He should have told Sky to go get checked out earlier. What if it got worse? What if he had to leave tour as well? He couldn't lose another friend.

Josh began aimlessly wandering around the Boston. He wasn't ready to go the hotel yet knowing that the three people he cared most about had all been hurt. Sure they would all come back, hopefully...

"UGH! STOP IT JOSH!" he yelled at himself, angry that he was thinking of the worse. But what if all these possibilities were to come to light. Josh would be perfectly crushed. He knew he would have his family, his parents, and siblings, but Ben and Sky were just like his brothers and they wouldn't be there. And Grace.

Grace was practically his kid. And Ben's kid. When he told Ben about his yearning to adopt Grace, Ben had immediately perked up and asked to become co-parent to Grace. Ben loved Grace almost as much as his beloved twin sister Emma. The two were so close. All three of them were so close. And with a relationship blooming between Ben and Lizzy, Grace could end up with two dad's and a mum - she would never run out of love. And she'd have too many uncles and aunts to count. Josh couldn't help but laugh at the crazy family life that he imagined in his head.

But. There was always a but. She was trapped in the care home with an abusive social worker. Ben was in Virginia, still scared skinless about being taken again - apparently still barely talking. And Sky was in the hospital with a concussion. Who was next? Who would be hurt next?
