Worry
Several hours later...
Ichimatsu's body had finally washed up on the shore of the beach. Nobody knew where he was, and nobody knew he was here, barely alive.
His entire body was soaked from head to toe, inside and out. His lungs were filled with the disgusting unclean water from the ocean.
The five birds crowded around him, not letting out a single tweet.
Nothing but silence...
Back at home...
"Hey, Jyushimatsu?" Choromatsu asked, staring out the window, looking for Ichimatsu. "Shouldn't Ichimatsu be back by now?"
Jyushimatsu just stared out the window. His mouth was wide open, as usual, yet his heart beating faster and faster in anxiety.
"He has that interview, doesn't he?" Osomatsu asked.
"Ichimatsu has always been slow. Maybe he just went for a long walk and he's making his way back home now." Todomatsu commented, picking up his phone to respond to a text.
"My brothers," Karamatsu said solemnly while leaning up against the wall. "I sense that our beloved brother is in great danger!"
"Ow ow ow ow ow ow!" Osomatsu said in vain, falling over on the floor. "It's so painful!"
"Guys! Don't you think we should try to find him...He wasn't acting normal earlier." Choromatsu said seriously.
"What's normal for Ichimatsu then?" Todomatsu asked, "Sitting in to corner all day instead of going for a morning walk with Jyushimatsu?"
"He was saying things..." Choromatsu said, "I don't think I was supposed to hear, but he was saying things about not belonging. That he was just an extra person in this world that didn't belong."
"I know where he's at!" Jyushimatsu gasped, running out of the room. Everyone else started to follow him.
And before they all knew it, they were at the beach.
Jyushimatsu looked up at the big rock, surprised that he couldn't see Ichimatsu there.
"Nii-san!" Jyushimatsu called nervously, yet still trying to sound happy. "We have to get ready for the interview!"
There was no reply.
"Are you sure he's here, Jyushimatsu?" Osomatsu sighed, putting his hand on his brother's shoulder.
"I know he is!" Jyushimatsu nearly cried, but held it back.
Jyushimatsu took off down the beach, looking for Ichimatsu. He knew he had to be here. He just had to be!
The four brothers followed Jyushimatsu, stopping when he stopped, and running when he ran.
Suddenly, the five birds flew above their heads, chirping loud frantic songs.
"He is here!" Jyushimatsu nearly laughed in relief. But his relief didn't last for long...
The five birds had led the five brothers to Ichimatsu...but he showed no sign of life. At all.
