Janis' POV
Two years...two years since I've seen my friends, been an agent, worked for SHIELD.
They thought I was dead thanks to my good friend Natasha Romanov. I sorta...fell out of the ship. But don't worry! I'm not dead! Oh no, far from it actually. I'm very alive and so very very happy at the moment.
You see, I fell in love with someone who isn't exactly...friends with the Avengers. He was actually their worst enemy. But I swear he's changed! He's really changed and I'd go up against anyone who says otherwise! My love...my Loki means the world to me. I would do anything for him. Even die.
We had been living low for the first year, trying to get off SHIELD'S radar. Their director, Fury, would be on red alert for quite a while. Loki knew how to hide and so did I. SHIELD picked me up because I was a master of disguise. I could change my whole appearance in the blink of an eye and I've been practicing. So whenever we need food or medicine, I usually just disguise myself into another person and pick the stuff up. Of course there has been trouble along the way. Police aren't stupid and they know Loki's face. So we've had to hide in pretty tight and nasty spots. But Loki didn't mind, so long as I was safe and sound.
I remember the day I bought him clothes. A green sweater with dark jeans and a black coat. I had to bite back a giggle when he looked at me with the most confused face. He said with that strange accent that can only come from another world, "What is that?"
I smiled and said, "Mortal clothes...I thought that winter is coming and well...you needed something warm to wear. Plus you have been wearing the same armor for over a year." He looked down and saw that I was indeed right. His clothes were filthy.
He smiled meekly at his clothes as he said, "I guess you're right. As you ALWAYS are, my goddess (oh gosh, he had started calling me his goddess because he "claimed" couldn't believe how beautiful I was). I shall go change." He then grabbed the clothes and strode into the other room in the warehouse with that graceful, catlike manner.
When he came out I was shocked. Loki looked so different. Like any other normale person living on earth. Well....not just a person. A really really hot person. He shifted uncomfortably under my stare and said, "Does this look alright. Green may not be my color..." I silenced him with my lips. He took great surprise and kissed back passionately.
But I broke it apart too soon for both of our liking and said, "You are the most handsome, amazing, god I know."
He smiled at me with dazzling green eyes and said, "How many gods do you know?"
I smirked and said, "Oh just one other and...I'm not really all that into the hair. I'd rather prefer my men NOT to have hair that they have to use a brush." We both laughed for the rest of the night. Making jokes and just having fun. It was one of those rare moments where we get to relax. Loki and I soon fell asleep in each other's arms...just the two of us.
Natasha visited once in a while. She was the only one who knew where we were. She would come over for a bit, update us on what's happening with SHIELD, even hang out for just a bit. One day Loki asked about Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye. He was the master assassin in our group who could hit dead center of any of his targets with his bow and arrow. Clint was also in love with Natasha and they had been dating for the whole year. Its been the longest relationship they have ever been in. Especially for Nat. So when Loki asked, it hit a nerve. She looked off into the distance. Like she was in a trance. I swear, her bright red hair turned darker as her mood changed to grim. She said quietly, "Barton and I went on a mission. A dangerous and risky one. The most dangerous we've ever been on. We almost got away too if I hadn't been so slow. The building was on fire and he was waiting for me to get out. I was running as fast as I could, but it just wasn't enough. The ceiling collapsed and I was trapped under. Clint saved me, but at his own cost. The smoke he inhaled messed with his head and Clint soon fell into a coma. This was two weeks ago and he hasn't even woken up yet. No one knows WHEN he'll wake up." She looked down, as if she was already mourning. Her brilliant blue eyes saddened and looked defeated. A rare look for her.
I placed my hand over hers and said gently, "I haven't known Clint for too long...but I know he's a fighter. And I know that he loves you more than anything in this universe. So don't give up on him yet, cause he wouldn't give up on you. An I know, from the bottom of my heart that he is fighting FOR YOU and only you because you are what keeps him in the Avengers. You are what keeps him alive." She looked at me strange, but the look soon turned into a bright smile.
She asked, "Since when did you get so good at talking?"
I shrugged my shoulders and said, "Oh I don't know...maybe because I learned from a great teacher?" Nat scoffed and told me I was a butt kiss. The rest of the night ended well, but there was no more talk of Agent Barton.
Half a year later, The Avengers came out as a movie. When we found out, we just looked at each other and knew exactly what the other was thinking. We HAVE to go see that movie.
As we watched, I laughed at how the actors played my friends so well and Loki smiled at Tom Hiddleson, who played Loki dead on. Our favorite part was when Bruce Banner or The Hulk, smashed Loki into the ground several times. Loki winced at the memory, but soon found it funny as well and we both started to crack up. We decided that it was our favorite movie.
Things got a bit rough after that. It was harder to find places to hide. Loki was doing all that he could to find a place for us to rest. We had been running for a while, almost the whole day. I tried to show him that I was fine and that we could keep going, but he insisted that I rest. But we still had to keep going, cause if we stopped, they would find us and it is very likely they'll execute Loki. And that is something I will NEVER allow to happen. You know, we make a great team, Loki and I....and who exactly am I?
My name is Janis Bakely. I'm twenty six, have super powers, and I fell in love with the God of Mischieve.
Ohhhhh dear....I don't know about that chapter. Was it okay? I wanted to explain what they were doing over the past year, but I don't think I did it very well. Please comment and review!! Please!
