Chapter 3 : Home

After lots of paperwork and home visits, Virgil could finally go to Logan and Patton's house, which Virgil was admittedly nervous about.

He was dressed in a purple shirt and blue jeans, as he waited patiently for them to pick him up, he held a small purple teddy close to his chest and the other hand was holding onto the handle of his black suitcase.

Patton walked in and knelt down, "hey kiddo!"

Virgil smiled, "hi Pa'on." He couldn't pronounce his name correctly, which he felt incredibly guilty for, until Patton had awed.

"You ready to go, Virge?" Asked Logan, kneeling down, yes Logan was terrified Virgil wouldn't like him, but seeing Virgil nod and smile enthusiastically, made him relax his tense muscles. He ruffled his hair gently and picked up the case.

"Am I ok to pick you up, kiddo?"

Virgil nodded shyly, as Patton knelt down and picked him up, supporting him on his hip.

Virgil wasn't sure why he was nervous, he had been around Patton and Logan before but now, he would be living with them now. Maybe that's what scared him? They would find out he was bad and they would give him up.

Patton carried his new son to their bright blue Toyota Corolla family car and set Virgil in a purple child car seat, purple as Virgil had mentioned he liked the color.

Logan put the suitcase in the trunk of the car, as Patton sat in the passenger seat, even though the car belonged to him, he believed Logan would be better at driving.

Now sat in the drivers seat, Logan started driving as Virgil stared out the window, smiling gently.

"So? How's Mr Cuddles?" Questioned Patton.

Virgil subconsciously tightened his grip on the soft, stuffed teddy bear, "he'th ok, he'th happy he geth to thee you again!" It was a gift from Patton and Logan.

"Well, we're happy we get to see him again!" Squealed Patton.

Logan smiled gently, "and how are you Virge?"

"I feel... ne'vouth..." he replied shyly.

"Don't worry Virgil, so do we." Smiled Logan reassuringly.

This managed to calm the child down, not noticing the Patton and Logan was distracting Virgil, so that he could feel less nervous, which was working, because now Virgil was in a full conversation about cats, dogs, rainbows and Mr Cuddles.

They eventually pulled up in front of their house and Patton helped Virgil out.

Virgil looked up and clung to Patton's leg slightly, which Logan saw. Logan knelt down and smiled, "it's ok Virge, I promise. It'll be like the other times except you'll be staying."

Virgil nodded shyly as Patton walked him in and Logan and Patton showed him to his new room.

It was a pastel purple room with white walls and a purple carpet. The bed was a singular bed that had a racing car boarder and purple quilts. There was shelves of books and a purple box full of toys and there was a small purple plastic desk, with three plastic chairs two white and one purple, with paper and coloring pens, pencils and crayons. There was a large, playful, purple dinosaur in the corner of the room and above the bed there was a large picture of a kitten, as Virgil expressed his love to small cats. There was a beside table, which was purple and had a lamp on the side with a purple shade on, it had a small picture of the three together. The curtains were purple and underneath it there was a white radiator. There was also a closet.

"Woah!!!" Virgil jumped on his new bed immediately and giggled.

"You like it Virge?" Smiled Patton.

"Thank you!" He cried out and laughed himself to Patton and Logan and hugged them close.

"You're very welcome." Smiled Logan as both father's hugged the child.

"I'll go start on lunch." Smiled Patton kissing Virgil's temple and Logan's cheek, walking out.

"You need help to put things away?"

Virgil shook his head at Logan, his hair shaking back and forth, "no thankth!"

Logan ruffed his hair, "give me a shout if you need me."

"Ok Log'n!" Smiled Virgil waving as his hand as Logan closed the door leaving it open ever so slightly.

He heard Virgil giggle and lay in the bed and began to talk to Mr Cuddles happily.

Logan went down stairs to the kitchen and wrapped his arms around his husbands waist, "hey."

"How is he?" Asked Patton, nervously looking up from the chicken.

"He's ok-" there was a loud giggle from upstairs, "more then ok."
