Chapter 1
The song is Out of The Woods by Taylor Swift. DON'T JUDGE MY SONG OF CHOICE!!! I just happened to be listening to it when I finished editing this. I didn't know what song to put on here so I just did a random one. ENJOY!!! :D :D :D :D

"Come on!" I yelled at my teammates, "You need to look up when dribbling the ball."
All the girls nodded and continued to breath hard. Sweat dripped from their foreheads. I picked up the ball and went to go put it in my duffel bag. "You all should get washed up and get some rest. We have a game tomorrow." I suggested before slinging my bag over my shoulder and making my way over to the girls' locker room.
Before I exited the gym, I heard some girls whispering. "Why is she the captain? She's nothing but a freak." I turned around and my eyes met with icy blue eyes. I internally cursed as I saw the devil's girlfriend standing at the entrance of the gym.
She had her aqua volleyball uniform on and her bleached blond hair tied up in a tight, high pony tail. Her lips were pursed as her eyes focused in on me. I rolled my eyes and turned back around. I ignored their annoying giggling as I went into the girls' locker room.
I didn't even bother taking a shower because I just wanted to get out of this hellhole. I threw on my Imagine Dragons tee, leggings, and my black converse. I stuffed my basketball uniform and shoes in my duffel bag. I took off my blue sports glasses and slipped on my usual thick-rimmed nerd glasses.
Once I was done, I exited the locker room and made my way to the front of the school where my car was. I walked down the deserted hallway, humming the song Emperor's New Clothes, when I felt like someone's presence behind me.
And sure enough, before I could even blink, someone yanked on my backpack, causing me to fall backwards. I landed on my butt. Hard
I winced. Ouch, that's going to hurt later.
"What the hell?" I shrieked angrily.
I heard laughter along with a deep voice that sent chills up my spine. "Need a hand?"
My anger began to boil as I realized who it was. I looked up to see devil himself with a scowl on my face. He was staring down at me with his signature smirk worn on his lips. His hand was sticking out right in front of my face.
I stared at him in disgust. Every other girl would stare at his face for hours. They would oogle over his good looks and charm. But I, on the other hand, am not like those girls. He just makes me cringe every time I see him. His brown hair was pushed to the front because of the black beanie on his head. He wore a black leather jacket with black jeans.
I angrily slapped his hand away. "Get those nasty sausages away from me. Who knows where those have been." I remarked.
I pushed myself off of the floor and picked up my things. I shot him and his friends a glare before I started walking away. But before I could go anywhere, he grabbed my wrist and pushed my into the lockers.
More anger surged through my body. Why must he be an idiot? We go through this every single day! He never leaves me alone!
You are probably wondering who he is. Well, he's Zeke Anderson. Seaside High's stereotypical badboy. He's also an imbecile, idiot, asshole, incompetent fool, my list could go on. I also don't get how almost every single girl here at this messed up school practically falls for him right when he walks into the room. All I see is an arrogant asshole.
But the one thing everyone knows, is that Zeke and I aren't very fawned of each other. We're constantly fighting and bickering. We've been enemies ever since we were in third grade because I beat him in dodgeball when we were the team captains. It was pretty funny actually. Both him and I were the only ones left and I chucked the ball and it hit him right in the manhood.
"Well aren't you going to talk, nerd?" His voice was filled with disgust, hatred, and venom. He yanked the duffel bag out of my arms and tossed it over to one of his friends. Then he moved closer to me and yanked my chin up to him so that I was looking at his face. "You didn't do my homework like I asked."
I narrowed my eyes at him. "Asked me? More life forced me." I chuckled humorlessly.
He flashed me a glare and his eyes darkened. His grip on my chin tightened to the point where it was hurting. Not allowing him to hurt me anymore, my leg shot up, hitting him in the balls.
His grip on me loosened and I took advantage of that, freeing myself from his grip. He doubled over in pain as he released strangled groans. I marched right up to the delinquent holding my bag and punched him in the stomach. The bag fell out of his hands and I took that chance to get it.
Wow, taking tae kwon doe during the summer in 5th grade really paid off!
I pivoted on my foot and took off sprinting the other way. Usually, in movies or stories, when the protagonist is running, they normally would look back to see if they were being chased. Normally when they do that, they would get captured. Thankfully, I'm not like them.
I kept my head forward even though I could hear their thundering footsteps behind me. Seriously, why don't they go pick someone who's just as dumb as they are. I'm going to be honest here, even though I'm a basketball player I'm not that fast. But I was able to keep my pace and stay ahead of those idiots.
When I reached the entrance to the school, I quickly opened the door and slammed it behind me. I heard a loud bang and then the door shook violently. I turned around to see what happened and when I saw the site in front of me, I bursted out laughing.
Zeke was sitting on the floor rubbing his nose and his entourage looked like they were trying their hardest not to laugh. But not me. I was laughing so hard that I actually added a few snorts to it and felt like I was going to pee myself.
Zeke flashed me a glare. "You'll pay for this, Harper." His voice was kind of muffled because of the door standing between us but I was able to catch the intimidating tone laced in his voice.
"What? Did you say well played, Harper?" I replied with a smirk. He rolled his eyes angrily and stood up, cracking his knuckles at the same time.
"That's it." he muttered and began striding straight towards me. His friends quickly grabbed his arms so that he couldn't get to me. He tried breaking from their grasps, but it didn't work.
I laughed and stuck my tongue out in a taunting manner. "Later, Anderson." I chirped before heading off to my pick up truck, also known as my baby.

I tapped my pencil on my chin as I examined the question on my paper. I let out a frustrated groan as I couldn't put my finger on the answer for the problem. I slammed my pencil down on my desk and ran my fingers through my long, brown hair.
Why is math so freakin' hard!?
Giving up, I placed my homework back in my binder and shoved it in the opened backpack that sat next to my desk. I got up and flopped down on my bed. I picked up my phone and looked at the time.
6:30....
Realizing what time it was, my stomach started pleading for food. I got up from my bed and made my way down the stairs. Once I reached the kitchen, I immediately went to the fridge to see what leftovers were in it.
My eyes immediately landed on the bag of leftover Ledos Pizza. I quickly reached for it and pulled it out. I placed them on a plate and popped it in the microwave for a few seconds. When the pizza finished warming up, I took it out and went into the living room to watch the television.
When I turned it on, the news was already playing. I picked up the cable box remote and started surfing the channels, trying to see if a Dylan O'Brien movie was on.
Because damn, that guy is smoking hot. I would marry him in a heartbeat.
Right when I was about to change the channel, something caught my attention. An interviewer was interviewing a lady who so happened to be a mother. She was brawling her eyes out in front of the camera. My heart sank in sympathy.
I wonder what happened.....
Well if you would shut up and listen, maybe you would find out, my subconscious scolded me.
I exited out of the channel listings to see what was up. "Miss can you please tell us what happened?" the reporter asked politely.
I examined the title at the bottom of the screen, "Shooting at Riverpoint Middle School." My eyes widened. That school was 10 minutes away from my house. Subconsciously, I looked over to the front door to see if it was locked.
I sighed in relief when I saw that the door was locked before turning my attention back to the screen. "M-My son was at school. I-It was a normal day for him. A-And someone broke into the s-school and shot a lot of i-innocent kids. M-mine being....one of t-them." the poor mother sobbed.
Her husband was standing next to her, rubbing her back softly while trying to comfort her in the process. Not wanting to see anymore tears, I quickly changed the channel to The Maze Runner so that I could gawk at the hot human being named Dylan O'Brien.
That night when I was trying to sleep, I couldn't help but think about that poor woman. She must be heartbroken. I couldn't imagine what my father would do if that happened to me. I'm all that he has left at the moment since my mom ditched us and my brother died in a car accident.
Yeah, what a pleasant childhood...... Note the sarcasm.
I would be so freaking scared if something like that happened at my school. If some stranger broke into my school I would probably poop my pants and be the first one to die, knowing my luck .
Trying to get rid of those horrid thoughts, I finally managed to fall into a not-so-peaceful sleep.
