MIRRORS

As she closes all these huge doors,
So strong that even the winds lose their force!
Such garden of hers do wither,
And the gates of her resilience splinter.

From the vast neighborhood it's heard!
Her cry so loud echoing to the world,
Her heart feeling like a desert,
Often bewitched by what their mouths would spurt.

As the lights in their room then fade,
In a giant mirror shimmered a shade!
She saw her dreary self bleaking,
As she gives her shadow the darkness' sting!

Nothing but a thousand mirrors,
Could make her unfold the masks of this curse.
Only mirrors can tell this girl,
That she is her own precious treasured pearl.

Honestly, this is my most favorite poem of all. Its deep message is beautiful, and I want everyone to know about it.  =)

First of all, this poem is inspired by the song "Mirrors", one of (One Direction member) Niall Horan's new songs from his debut album, "Flicker", which is a very beautiful album, my current favorite album! Go give it a listen if you haven't heard it yet! Trust me, it's really beautiful. All the songs are so wonderful, and you can easily feel the strong emotions inside every song. One of my favorite songs in this marvelous album is "Mirrors". It is about a mysterious girl struggling with personal insecurities, being lonely and not being confident about herself. Niall and I had the same concept about it. I also thought of a girl I know that is insecure, right after listening to his song, and yesterday Monday, I have decided to write a poem about it. :)

I suddenly thought how some girls are being insecure with their own appearances and get affected easily by the social media, and especially what other people would tell them. I want all these girls to know that we are all created beautiful. No matter who we are, what we are, where we came from, and what we have, we are all beautiful, and even more beautiful in our own ways. It is not the other people who can say whether we are beautiful or not. It is us! Only we, ourselves can tell how beautiful are we. Only us, ourselves know everything about our own selves, and our true natures. It is not what others say about us that really matter. Even if it is the whole world, the government, the politicians, the professional workers, and all those people with authority that call you "ugly", they can always be false with their statements. It does not matter what the society will tell you, and how you think you will look to others. Just be confident and remember that you are beautiful, for whoever you are. Being you, yourself, you are the most beautiful. We are all beautiful, and we should all be confident in our own reflections. We are all created different, and we do not need to compare ourselves, for we are all beautiful in our own different ways. :D

Just look at yourself in the MIRROR and be confident. Smile, and tell yourself that YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, for whoever you are, whatever you may be, wherever you come from, and whatever you have, and you can get even more beautiful with your own different ways, as long as you know in yourself that you are beautiful! Your reflection shall always shine, and help make the world a brighter and more beautiful place for all of us, beautiful people. =)

Let us never be insecure of ourselves. Let us just be confident that we are all created beautiful in our own different ways! ;)
