#34: "Tempest"
"TEMPEST"
I gaze at the obscured skies
Of infuriated clouds;
Where the wrath of Zeus flies;
Thunders roaring so loud,
Shaking every bit of my world,
That I lose even my faith to the Lord.
I think about a luminous cloud,
Not among the clouds I see above,
But from my mind she is a huge shroud,
As winsome as Aphrodite's dove,
Turning into a peaceful tempest,
With winds that blow me east.
A tempest so graceful!
A tempest so gleeful!
The others see her as a gale,
Not seeing such elegance behind her Stygian veil,
That only my eyes do see,
In a world where masks bombard me.
She is my tempest!
Beyond the heavens above us,
The tears and flames inside me
Are washed away by its gusts,
The raindrops it falls for me
Are my heart's precious husks!
O, dearest tempest!
You whom I cannot see you every sunny day,
You who made me cherish the blaring storms,
Wherefore art thou;
I want you to hear the beating of my heart
Echo the roar of thunders around your clouds.
