#10: "The Tide and the Sand"

"THE TIDE AND THE SAND"

While watching the beach,
I think of you through the sand.
Then I saw the tide.

I wrote in the sand,
But the tide washed it away.
It's always the same.

I'll just keep writing,
Even if the tide is there,
For it can't stop me.

When the tide goes high,
I know you'll just run away,
And not see the sand.

The sand is a gift.
I offer it all to you,
And even the tide.

The tide may be harm,
But it has beauty within,
Which you just don't see.

It washes the sand,
Just for you to realize
You're blind against me.

But no matter what,
I'll keep writing in the sand,
'Til you see the tide.

Author's Note:

As you may notice, the stanzas are in a 5-7-5 structure, based on Haiku poems.

I got this idea from a memory at a beach vacation. While thinking about something complicated, I just write in the sand, even if the marvelous tide constantly washes it away. =)

This poem actually goes over a love story. Technically, it is a one-sided love. Somebody loves a certain girl, and he is pretty much close to him. However, she never notices him and his efforts for her. She just treats him like a friend who loves her as a friend because he is really that passionate to anyone, but she never realizes that he is trying to get his attention and working hard to get her heart. :D

Another bittersweet story. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Thank you for reading this simple poem.
