It had been eight years since then. Evangeline had grown quite well, despite some abnormalities. Ignoring such thoughts, she made her way down the hall.

Is he still sleeping?

She walked up to her friend's room, the one across hers, and knocked on the door. Not getting a reply, she decided to let herself in. "Jin?"

The elder boy was still asleep. She smiled slightly at his peaceful face before shaking him lightly. "Wake up, Jin. You're going to school today, remember?"

Still not getting a response, she decided to pull the covers off, accidentally pulling him off the bed as well.

At this, he sat up from the floor groggily. "...What?"

"School. Late." She pointed to the clothes folded on the table.

He sighed. "Right..."

She left the room and, not long after, he did too. They made their way to the roof, taking a detour through the pantry for breakfast. A man in a white suit, his butler, was waiting for him, two helmets in hand.

"Who goes to school in a fighter jet?" The blonde girl asked.

He didn't bother answering and instead gave her his own question. "Are you going to be alright on your own?" His eyes only held a small trace of worry.

Nonetheless, she gave him a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine. Have fun."

The boy and the man exchanged nods as they got on to the aircraft. She waved until they were out of sight, before making her way back to her room. With her head on her desk, she thought back to the previous night.

"So Yamano Ban is the target?" She had asked.

He gave her a nod. "Right. Apparently, his father is currently being kept somewhere here, working in one of our labs."

"And you're going to enter the Angra Visdas to get to this... Platinum Capsule?"

"Yes. If I win, he'll give it to me willingly. If he wins, I tell him this fortress' address."

She hummed in thought, feeling slightly against it, but eventually just gave him a shrug. "Have fun then, I guess."

She didn't think much of it really. If anything, she just wanted to get it over with. When the mission is done, he wouldn't have to go to school anymore and continued to be tutored at home with her. Speaking of which...

She took out the books from her shelf and began reading for her next classes. The butler came back not too long after and her lessons began. After lunch, she got one of the drivers to take her to Blue Cat's Café. A couple of hours passed by as she read through the player data of those participating in the event, and soon, the black and white haired boy walked in.

He gave her a nod and the two went to the lower levels. This was their first time in the underground arena. They had only meant to go there for a survey check, but the new faces were recognized immediately.

Jin took them all on and was on a winning streak. As if rubbing his victory on their faces, he'd glance at his watch after every match and state exactly how many seconds it took to defeat them.

The final three challengers decided to face him at the same time, but it took him less than half a minute to defeat them all. Eva smiled stiffly at this. They're no match for him.

As they walked out through the side, she spotted three kids watching them. Having spotted them before she did, he told her that they were the targets. Yamano Ban, Kawamura Ami, Aoshima Kazuya.

"Who's that?" His eyes pointed at a tall purple haired boy.

The two were standing outside the local arcade, blankly staring at the people inside. Evangeline took out her tablet from her bag. "Sendou Daiki. His LBX is Joker." She pointed at the others. "That's Gouda Hanzou and his followers, but they won't be participating in Angra Visdas."

"I see." Jin turned on his heel and headed for the back entrance.

They stood behind one of the large consoles and watched as Ban and Sendou battled. It was a losing battle, but they couldn't have that. Right before Ban's Achilles could be destroyed, The Emperor blocked Joker's path.

Both battlers turned to him and Ban's eyes widen. "Kaidou Jin!"

"You know him?" asked Gouda.

"He transferred in recently." Ami explained.

He ignored them and turned to the purple haired boy. "Sendou is it? If you're planning to be a contestant in the next Angra Visdas, you should settle matters there."

"Eh?" At that statement, Sendou turned to the boy he was battling with. "Are you entering Angra Visdas?"

"Yes, I am." Ban answered.

The elder boy turned to Jin. "And you too?" He received a smirk in return. The Joker-user didn't mind it. In fact, he gave them a smug smile of his own. "So the both of you want me to destroy you?" He called back his LBX. "See you. We'll meet again at Angra Visdas."

As soon as he leaves, Ban's attention turned to the duo. "What's the big idea?!"

Without giving him any more than a glance, Jin walked out with Evangeline tailing him.
