After I mentioned my father Seokjin became quiet. 

I mean I guess it makes sense seeing as he wouldn't want to say anything bad about his own boss.

"So, can you give me any hints about the story?" I ask eagerly as I lean towards him on the table.

"I'm only five chapters in." He says.

"Still. I want to know what you got so far." I smile.

"That would ruin the surprise, now wouldn't it." He says in a teasing voice.

I glance at him and study his face.

Upon realizing he wasn't going to crack, I gave up and leaned back in my seat.

"I guess I'll wait then." I shrug.

He laughs and nods before speaking again.

"How long have you been reading my books?" Seokjin asks.

"Since you started publishing." I say and he looks taken back.

"Seriously?"

"Of course. There's just something about your writing that I love. It just speaks to me in a way. I can see the real you within your stories." I smile.

He stops and stares at me for a moment.

I couldn't quite piece together the look in his eyes so I stayed silent.

Finally, he speaks.

"You're the first person to ever say that to me." He says, still seeming as if he were in a daze.

"Really? Aha. I guess after reading your books so many times and for so long I just caught on." I say.

Suddenly my phone goes off with a text from F/n.

"I have to go. It was nice getting to talk to you and good luck with the story!" I smile widely as I stand and begin to walk away.

"Oh, one more thing." I say as I stop in my tracks and turn to face him.

"Yeah?" He asks, sitting up a bit more.

"Don't hide between the lines forever. You have to come out and show your true self to others or they'll never know who you really are." I say and when he doesn't say anything I wave goodbye and head out.

He really does have the great ability to write stories that people will read and love.

He's truly an amazing person yet he doesn't open up enough for others to see that.

I hope that one day he'll be able to show himself, not in between the lines, but in the lines themselves.
